When using the window walkways, do NOT use embrasures as they are waste. for whatever reason they can be splashed even behind a glass window, making it 4 rockets instead of 8. so feel free to make the window frames stone instead of metal and forget the embrasures.

They work great for satchel and c4 raids. They dont splash so its double the cost. I will always put on both just because of that

I watched this two years ago and now that I'm back still perfect for me.
Its 23 to TC and 1 loot room, 26 to TC, and 2 loot room (if you include the part right infront of door a loot room). Its 35 rockets to access every chest, furnace, workbench, etc. in the base. Pretty good for the price.

Am I blind? How is it not just 14 rockets to TC? straight down through the roof into the vending machine room, then through one window and a door. 15 rockets if they use an armoured window. The embrasures do nothing against rockets or explo from what I can see.

Dude this is the first base design i have ever used off of youtube and i will never find something else unless its a compound base, but this man is truly compacted. the windows make is severely harder for the raiders to raid. I really like this base tbf.

I really liked the design aswell, however just found out, that the metal embrasures in the window can be destroyed by ~2 fire rockets, which makes it not worthy, you're better off using 4 garage doors or armored walls to make it the same cost as the armored wall to TC.

ran this build on rustopia |us| medium going solo to 8 noobs. biggest gripe was the timing of 3:00 to 3:20 resource expansion. The amount of resources vs storage and no airlock is brutal for a solo. I used the furnaces next to dump storage for jump up to 2nd floor. I also turned the 2nd floor honey comb into raid storage and used a basic shooting design for 3rd floor. Super strong design and can easily hide TC on 2nd floor.
New to rust (solo console) Built this and was delighted , showed to a friendly neighbour who decided to critique the shit out of it. We are no longer neighbours and he's in a better place

I used this base on my solo wipe on a Korean official server and a 6 man couldnt even online me. they didnt have enough. they had to offline me and they used like 30ish rockets. to funny bro, amazing base as well. keep up the good work.

One thing i love about your channel is that your not clickbait and the way you show how to progress the base is really well done 👍 i build myself but i build bases for 6+ people. i’ve started to play solo/duo/trio now and your base builds have really inspired a lot of my builds

Swifty Yeah, the sole reason i started to build my own bases is that everyone knows all the good ones. building your own gives you so much more freedom plus you can choose what you want to build because you might be a pvper looking for a compact base but strong or a farmer that will farm for days for a unraidable base.

Love it. Been looking at a few solo designs. This is the best one by far. Looks like a normal 2x1 honey comb. Hide in plan site. Good use of layering of important inside, going out less important stuff. Repeat, I love it.
I put shotgun traps in mine, as a solo it’s fun to see a clan of 8 give up on your base

Such a awesome base. If I grind really hard I can have it finished in a day and now that we can pick up work benches I can fit even more boxes and a extra furnace.

I expanded this base to have a hop up to the second floor above it outfitted with windows and indoor lighting made a farm, added more honeycomb around metal structure, put spikewalls above first level honeycomb, took it one level higher added metal windows and embrasures, compounded the base with high exterior and connected the gateway to the base structure. Really solid base design man I had fun with it for a few weeks till I pissed off the wrong group of sweats lol
Would love to see this base with the bunker you use in the rat hut base

I would make an shooting floor for online portection by adding triangle ladderhatch on airlock, as well as an roof with roofs on top maybe a mini hangar , anyway cool base design!

Just got Rust on Consoles, don't have a PC unfortunately. I tried figuring everything out on my own. But I know I'm gonna be destroyed being a solo player and learning about honeycombing etc. This will definitely help me not seem like such a newb, and make my time spent in game feel worth while. Swifty one thing that I have been using but it’s very expensive in HQM isIriskpvp’s tier 3 room from his arrow head, I think it’s a great way to take up a square in any base!
Truly a very good base I lasted a whole wipe on expanding this base.
A year late but I owe you my thanks, me and a friend live in this base. 3 days into wipe and we've had people try and raid us twice. Both times they ran out of booms before they reached core
I'm in the process of building a second one on the hill above us to stop those pesky DB door stops
Half way through wipe, we lost the roof once but got on before decay set in, they didn't bother going through the rest of the base after they got main loot so we were back up and running within the hour

i made a similar version and i find if u move the t2 where the 2 furnaces are and swap them it adds to the raid cost because the t2 acts like another wall. also Swifty if you see this Keep it up. i LOVE the base. My new solo main base :D. Good job

I built this base with my mate today and it's a great design I just freestyled a second floor and shoot floor as we will be a trio. but great design lots of storage and easy to build
10/10 , You need all the boxes because you have to hold a large amount of Ibuprofen needed for your back with all the climbing over boxes and windows.

hot tip. when you place the starter for this, the double doors should swing INTO the square, if they swing out you're giving people info that your core is open.

Basic math will tell you
Nah man make your base look decayed and no one will ever raid
Just have no doors
If you target correct walls:
22 rockets to TC/bedroom.
if you go in through the vending machine room:
18 rockets.
if you go through doors (Correct path):
18 rockets.
Great build, expensive to raid for how cheap the cost & upkeep is.
Easy add-ons make the raid cost go up as well without making it to hard to maintain.
Only piece of advice I'd give is to add an airlock onto the front ASAP.
If you get far enough to do so, replace front garage door with armored double & you'll be good to go. Anyone that gets in there, was going to regardless.
I straight up armor a 2x2 solo and honey comb it and it always works for me. Most people see a tiny base armored up and figure it ain’t worth it

You can probably replace the window frames with garage doors to fit more bags, and then add extra honey comb and extend the airlock a bit for extra protection. Or put bags by the level 3. Its definitely possible but might be a little bit cramped

Have you tried unplugging your doors for 30 secs and plugging them back in
Try using ctrl-alt and delete at the same time and then go to task manager and close the door application that should work

im a new- ish player i tried a few deferent solo base set ups but i really like this one
hey man ; super nice base. compact yet strong ; perfect for solo or duo teams. but. i would like to mention that as most of it is sheet metal it could attract raiders into raiding you. and at the window frames the reinforced glass window and embrasure both take damage when hit by explosives causing it to be 4 rockets ; so the embrasure is not needed. and you should not also upgrade the window frames to sheet metal ; just stone. and there isnt really a air lock so it would be super easy to be deeped on :) but other than that iz good
damn I didn't know they both took damage that makes no sense when the embrasure is behind the glass window
If horizontal embrasure on opposite side of raiders point of attack it will take some splash, but not same as if facing raiders. They'll need to break it after destroying armored glass
