    I've noticed that doing a daily minimum/max single always makes my back off sets feel easier. Great video Mike!

    doing heavy singles is a skill. you don’t use it it deteriorates.

    So say I’m using the generalized intermediate program on your page, which I appreciate you sharing with us! How would I incorporate those heavy singles weekly? Do I add weight weekly/tweak the RPE for that heavy single weekly? Just trying to incorporate them to get the best of both worlds. Thanks!

      That program isn't really designed to incorporate this technique. It's definitely not something you'd want to just add on top.

    Do you suggest doing an additional warm-up set with a lighter weight after doing the single, before hitting the work sets? Or would you suggest getting right into the work sets after hitting the single?
