I feel the same way about that game. How did they lose? Brian Griese still says to this day , if he gets in the game he would have won it for them. Good argument. The Bears played with " good Rex and bad Rex" all year. The stage was too much for Rex .

That Super Bowl was lost at one spot. It was not a the defensive spots. It was not the Offensive Linemen. It was not at the receiver or running-back spots. It was definitely not at the special team spot. We know who was running back punts and kickoffs and he was excellent. There was only one spot that was totally horrible. A spot that the Chicago Bears consistently try to force an all American cereal box looking guy down our throats. The Bear’s owner or general manager picks that position for image concept and not for talent. You really can not mess up that many times drafting at that spot unless you are determined to pick for a look and not talent. One player cost us the Super Bowl. However, in that players defense he was not the one that drafted himself to the Bears. I have no ill wishes for him.
The rest of the players know the deal they are just are too classy to say it.

Rex was pretty decent, he’s pretty hated though and I can tell why (I don’t hate him). He ALWAYS wanted to go deep. Watch his highlights and it’s all he does. The bears had a super team, but they needed a better quarterback, although Rex could’ve won it for them if he threw anywhere but far

Instead of having Rex throwing, they should have just been one two punching Thomas and Cedric back-to-back and just shoved it down Indianapolis the entire game. The wet field hurt Rex and our defense speed (and missing Mike Brown badly). The advantage was in our run, we should have stuck to it. Bad move Lovie.

Can you imagine if, in 2005 Draft instead of drafting Cedric Benson at #4 overall when they already had Thomas Jones, the Bears had traded down a few spots and drafted Aaron Rodgers.
