You've really nailed the look and feel of this already, the art style almost gives me some EVE/Homeworld vibes. Oh and I absolutely love the scale as well.
Now, when I say that this looks like a really nice Homeworld mod, I want you to know I mean it as a compliment! I love the attention to detail you've put into the pathfinding for carrier docking here. I also like the use of contrasting colors on the ship design to make each ship look distinctive. It really pops out.
Found out about this project a few days ago, curious to see where this goes! I read you want to get alpha as soon as possible, this sounds like a good plan. With limited resources building a MVP is smart, an example is warframe, which started very basic and ended up huge in content and systems. The problem warframe encountered is content islands, as it started from a small game to something larger. So the takeway could be that starting small is great to get started and have the community feedback, but know where you want to go, so any systems you develop add to the whole gameplay system. But then again, im not a gamedev, so take it with a grain of salt. Looking forward to future updates!
Thanks a lot for the comment and welcome to the channel! I understand how that could happen. One more thing to keep in mind and to avoid. :) I do have a vision on how things work together but there can be surprises when testing it in reality.
Wow, those physic are really good. Love watching how littl ships trying to hold the line when docking and position themself correctly. Great job!
Thank you!
physics is good? Please. ships turn on their own axis. Zero realism. There is still a long way to go to get even closer to the homeworld from 1999
@@maxrockatansky7578 can you tell more specifically what you mean is unrealistic in turning?

I have not made the ship model set myself but I agree it looks good! :)
Impressive!
Skillful pilots I must say.
And good looking ships.

Thank you! :)
Nice texturing work man!
That model set is not made by me, but I agree that they look nice. :)
I was getting wing commander vibes, but that seems like far too many ships to fit inside :D
That's true. :) It's only for testing purposes.
