Awesome video! simplex had some really good stuff back in the day. my school has 4251's all over the place, for notification we mainly have simplex 4041's with 4050-80 remote lights above all of them, the school was built in the 60's too so i can guarentee the system is still original to when the school was built, really cool old system. really cool to see old stuff like that still in service!
My old school used to have this EXACT system back in the 90s. Up until the 2010s, the school replaced the horn/strobes with EST Genesis Horn / Strobes. The only old remaining alarms are two strobes in the testing room, and a REALLY old alarm that looks like two triangular shaped horns with a rotating red light outside.
Nice! I always been a fan of those low pitch faraday horns whether that on a Gentex GMS, Simplex 4903 or a Siemens UHN-MCS/UHN-S17. My middle school had a few of these simplex alarms despite the rest being Gentex GMS's. (Fun fact, not too many of them sounded very well even though I was sure the system wasent putting FWR since the rest sounded fine. Though the ones that sounded like FWR was driving them were all surface mounted on back boxes.)
@@That_2_guy2T I have always been a fan of the mid to late 90s Gentex alarms. (Mainly the SHG and GMS) mostly because I grew up with those alarms. The GOS is also cool considering it's Gentex's first multi-tone alarm
@@itigo23The outdoor GMS at my elementary school was flush mounted. And my middle school dident have any outdoor alarms with the old system. All the surface mounted devices were indoors at both schools. (My middle school had a ton of surface mounted horn/strobes).
Pretty unique probably fwr which if I read correctly makes spectralert advances louder not sure if my power supply has that but it’s way louder than most of my alarms
My old elementary school used to have this EXACT setup, although, the alarm system was coded to march coding. You should really try this again on march coding.
You did a good job, my friend, I love you.I wish I had a fire alarm.I love simplex too, and you simplex.I also seen your 1 from 3 years ago. That video was cool. The simplex thirty two dash thirty
1992 looks like it got burned up but yeah I got the notification about 2 hours ago I never didn't notice it cuz I was up two hours ago I woke up probably around I don't know 9 ish after came out sorry I couldn't get here sooner but my class named Grant
Both of these models are 15CD, so that explains why these strobes aren't as bright. They do also make 30 and 110CD models of these 4903/4904 series that are brighter.
The best notification I can get is “S.E.R Safety”
Fr
I know right
Our school still has these alarms, some got replaced by a est genesis and some got the wheellock exeeder.
Same
mine is straight gentex commander 3s and 4s, My ears still hurt lol

I love those 4903 9219s. They are the definition of "Modern Mechanical" horns.
I saw the exact fire alarm in kroger
That is sounds normal
That sounds normal
@@lindaverda4671 ik right
Gotta admit, we all watched S.E.R Safety as a kid.
very nice test! the fwr is definetly killing the vibe a bit tho
I have these alarms in my school in an add on from 1982. The original parts have Simplex 4500

I really like Gentex horn strobes like the GMS-24 and GMH-24

Great video! Also, video 3 of asking for Wheelock NS’s.
@S.E.R. Safety I think it would be cool to put an Exeeder fire alarm at some point in this system
Nice video, Grant!
This is cool, my school has a system of 4903’s!
That 4903 sounds beautiful!
Pretty unique probably fwr which if I read correctly makes spectralert advances louder not sure if my power supply has that but it’s way louder than most of my alarms
@@acutemadness hmm, okay!
Your neighbors must hate you. 😅
"That man is playing with his fire alarms again!"
Hahahaha 😂 i can’t stop laughing 😂
Cool! my school still has these types of devices, and non have been replaced!
That horn sounds amazing!
This is the best noise I ever seen
Sounds great!
My school has some vertical 4900’s and some ceiling ones too
my elementary school had the 4903-9219 and still does, so this is pretty cool
You should add voice evac to the fire alarm system
Brrr brrr brrr (referring to the horn strobe)
NGL you should do a system test with coded pull stations
I remember my school having that system but the 4903
Was on continuous
My elementary school have these fire alarms
My school still uses those exact alarms, some of them are painted white with red lettering though they sound more closer to the Siemens UMMT alarm
WOW THAT'S AWESOME I LOVE IT
Very nice!
What was making that 60 Hz him in your garage?
It was the DSC 15W-ULF alarm wired into the security system (3:57).
@@SERSafety The older sounds raspy but the security horn is very nice.
Dayum that 4903’s voice is deep. ADT Unicode 10ud system test 10’s one was way higher pitched

My school has this exact same system but haven't seen the panel and electronic horn strobes and newer style t bars.
System test 26 request: Could you do a Simplex Truealert horn strobe on one end and a Wheelock 7002t on the other end, with the panel set to code 3?
7002ts aren’t meant to be coded
@@acutemadness Have you seen frostedstrobes before? He coded his 7002t.
is that fwr and can u do continuous if can
Those alarms were always creepy to me
@S.E.R safety please do a system test with all of your strobes
System Test 26 Can You Do A System Test Of System Sensor L Series P2RL Horn Strobes
My school has that pull station and exactly those fire alarms
Hi dude.
I remember my college building use the speaker varents of these!!!! I heard it go off when construction from dust set off the smoke detector
That simplex horn sounds raspy ,is that on fwr?
Yes, sadly
@@SERSafety I learned that mechanical horns are not good of FWR so it’s better to just use mechanical horns on filter DC

I like that horn 3:46
Yes
My school that was built in the 90s used to have these before they remodeled
Cool by the way what do you mean by remodeled?

The horn So deep
Can I have a simplex tea bar?
U forgot the 9838 common in 1990s
