Very cool and I've been scoping out different Strandbergs to maybe pick one up for a while bc of the all the things you mention but honestly I've yet to hear one where it cuts thru the mix the way my LP's and Axis do. Maybe a pickup swap but that doesn't always work. Great playing and good luck

Thanks I can understand that, I’ve been thinking trying a few different pickup sets in this guitar for a video to see how drastically it would change things for. (Seymour Duncan antiquity, Scarlet & Scourge, and Maybe some PRS 58/15s)

I’m actually become more of a fan of the sound of the guitar, it’s not super hot, but it has its on flavor!

You made the guitar look sick! Shows it's partly about the person holding it in addition to the guitar itself. If a guitar is gonna have any downsides, "it's too easy to play" is a good one to have. I think I'll get one once money permits

I have the blue one and from my experience it doesn’t have a good enough “punch”. The pickups feel to be too weak/thin. Pickup swap in the near future will definitely happen

Honestly, I kinda agree with you. After having it for a longer while I’m not sure about putting gain through these pickups. They clean up ok but definitely can sound a bit brittle. I considered one of the two sets of pickups Mark Holcomb is making with Seymour Duncan.

I agree with this. Can’t cut with my band on the essential the same as I can with other guitars

I always say it's impossible to claim that one guitar is objectively better than another for the exact reason you're reflecting over - I will agree 100% with @oooomz7578 and say that I can live with making a guitar that is too easy to play :) Also, I agree that the look was spot on for the context as well! Very cool to hear your thoughts about it being easy to get around on a crowded stage with it.

I getcha on fighting the guitar. I like to dig in and play hard on my solos. The guitar actually looked good on stage. 🙂

The look surprised me! I’ve been getting a lot more used to the guitars lack of fight. I bring it to every rehearsal but I haven’t performed with it again as of now.
