With my first, my obgyn accidentally broke my water at my 40 week appointment. She pulled her hand out after doing the cervical check and my water broke on the table. I was 0cm dilated but immediately had to go be induced (there was meconium in the fluid.) I was so angry with my doctor at the time, although I hid my feelings and tried to be understanding. Baby was born 7 hours later and to the doctors shock, my placenta was evidently very small. She sent it to the lab for a pathology report. My daughter was fine but had to spend a few days in the NICU due to low blood sugar. Weeks later when I read the report, it stated that my placenta appeared to have gone into necrosis starting at 36 weeks. It was basically dying and my daughter wasn't getting enough of what she needed from my body for about 4 weeks, which is likely why her blood sugar was low. Now I am very grateful that the doctor popped my water that day. Natural labor would likely have taken a few more weeks, and the outcome could have been much worse.

Currently 4.5 weeks pregnant for the third time and have had two miscarriages before this. Trying to remain really positive and calm. Lots of lovely symbolism with this pregnancy so far! The due date is my birthday.

i feel the presence of God so strongly hearing this powerful story!! i’m a first time mom, just gave birth unmedicated 3 months ago and it was so difficult but so incredible! i second having a prayer team! i was stuck at 9cm for 4 hours, exhausted and it was excruciating. my husband texted my prayer team and the Holy Spirit also woke up my friend in that moment to pray too!! after the prayers my cervix finally moved out of the way and i gave birth to my son. God is sooo good 😭 i can’t wait for your postpartum video because i’ve been going throughhhh it postpartum and i didn’t know how intense it is!
My midwives broke my water at 9cm and that moved it along. Sorry you went through that ❤
@@adsf6033 my water broke before going into labor! i had an anterior cervical lip i think due to baby’s position. i wish i had a doula to try different positions while in labor! my nurses didn’t know what to do. thank you ♥️

Milena, I had my second son last April (he's turning 1 in two days!) at home in the tub also, and your story sounds so similar to mine, and its bringing tears to my eyes. God is so good and His plan really was just perfect for you, I love hearing how He carried you and knew exactly how to show how much he loves you through your sister and friends being there. This was such a great story, I hope my next baby comes at home, too!

Congratulations!! Currently 7 months preggo with our 3rd and we’re also having him at home. 2 years ago we had our daughter at home too and I just love how peaceful it is. I get to be fully in control of what happens to my baby and my body. My midwife was so attentive and supportive. We have the same midwife this time around because we just fell in love with her. I’m praying this labor is peaceful .

I’m am beyond grateful that you posted this because my husband and I just found out that we’re pregnant after a miscarriage and over a year of trying. As long as everything works out this is our first baby. And I’m so grateful for the wisdom of mothers who have gone before me. I’m not as stressed about birth as I thought I would be and I’m honestly just filled with more joy than I think I’ve been been. I would appreciate prayers for an easy birth and a healthy baby. I resonate so much with your birth story! My second son was born at home about a month ago and it’s crazy how similar our stories are. I keep describing it as spirit filled and redemptive.

Love this! He is sooo good! He answered so many seemingly insignificant details for my most recent birth as well. My baby girl (#10) was born April 3rd. I was 2 weeks past due as well! I asked the LORD for a day labour (never had one with previous babies; evening labour is exhausting), short/quick labour and delivery, waters to stay intact (so I could avoid the antibiotic for GBS), and minimal pain (just enough to get me to the hospital so my husband didn’t have to deliver the baby)! The LORD came through with every detail and answered every prayer! My contractions started at 2:30pm and my baby was born at 6:00pm. 3.5 hours from start to finish. I honestly thought I was going to have the baby in the car, but thankfully we made it to the hospital just in time! Thank you Jesus! ❤😊🙏
Baby #10?!! Girl, you must be a saint! Just kidding 😂 I have four beautiful children and as much as they drive me crazy sometimes I would love to have four more! Unfortunately that can't happen 😢 Congrats on baby girl 💜 Much love to you!
@@lifeinlilac161 They are all such a gift aren't they!? Yes, there are moments we feel stretched as momma's, but truly we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! After experiencing 3 miscarriages prior to this last baby girl we had, I am so aware of how precious each child is. What a privilege he has given to us as women! Jesus put a love for kids in my heart when He filled me with His spirit 15 years ago. My prayer is that their lives would all be for His glory! God Bless you All! ❤️

Awh, my first two labors started with my water breaking also! You get such intense painful contractions right away even though you aren’t even dialated much yet! I had never thought to pray and ask God for my water to not break. I’m due again in October and will definitely pray about this little specific detail. Thank you and congratulations 💜

I agree that God times when the baby comes perfectly. My son was 2 weeks early because I got a bad stomach bug. He was 8.5lb and had a big head… if I made it to 40 weeks I don’t know that he would have been born vaginally because he was so large. Thank you God 🙏🏻

That’s so sweet about your sister being at your birth. How beautiful! God’s timing is the best! I’m like you in the sense that my births are not very text book either. My contractions literally stopped with my last birth and I got to sleep for about an hour and then I woke up to pretty intense contractions which I had for about 30 mins before having our baby. This is such a lovely story Milena. Thank you for sharing it with us! ❤

Aww congrats Milena and Jordan, your joy is so evident in this video! My birth story was the opposite in every way but the Lord was still faithful and gave me a healthy son and my recovery was quick, that’s all I could ask for. I wish I listened to more positive birth experiences because people (with good intentions) around me would tell me their stories and it was always a negative experience and it didn’t help in the slightest when giving birth for the first time. I’m praying the rest of your postpartum journey is smooth and full of joy. 🙏

This amazing I had my surprise gender birth on March 24th and it was so similar to yours in terms of speaking positively! I literally was screaming “Yes! Yes! Yes” as the baby was crowning! I was thinking this is hard but I said nope and “yelled this baby is coming out I’m not even pushing this baby is coming out on it’s own!” And then I just breathed this beautiful baby out! Pushed twice and the baby crowned and I just breathed her out😍 it was a girl! My first girl after 5 boys! It was such a beautiful experience! I was literally praising God through the last hour before she was born❤

As you told the story of your little boy crying and your friend thanking God for those healthy cries, it reminded me of a story. My cousin Cadence was born early. My aunt went into labor with her at 23 weeks and had to stay in the hospital for several weeks and eventually ended up delivering her at 34 weeks. For those 11 weeks, so many people prayed specifically for Cadence to have strong and healthy lungs. Well...God answered in a pretty funny way. Not only was she born very healthy at 34 weeks, she only had to stay in the NICU for observation for 24 hours and was able to go home. She has a VERY strong and healthy set of lungs! As a child, people were constantly asking her to quiet down and use an inside voice. She sings (beautifully 😍) and very loudly! Shes now done many musicals, church choirs, and sings with her church's worship team. God certaibly gifted her with a beautiful voice, one that drove many people nuts when she was little and didnt know how to control it, but she now glorifies God with her voice by praising Him with singing.
Its so beautiful to see how God asnwers prayers, often in ways we dont expect. ❤
