A lovely video. Feels like a tour guide is telling about the history of the city while on a walking\driving tour through the city. Would love to visit Portugal sometime...
Beautiful place. Just Gorgeous. That massive granite Cathedral in the Historical centre of the city, its breathtaking. PS: Spain didint "gifted" Brasil to Portugal, because the King D.Joao ll already knew that Brasil was there, when they signed the treated. In the map of the "Tratado de Tordesilhas" in 1494, you can see perfectly the Land that its called Brasil today. Thats why D.Joao ll insisted in changing the line of separation, and thus increasing the distance where the Portuguese Captains could go. To make sure the land that already was knew by Portuguese Sailors, belong to Portuguese Domain,in a short time. And in the 1st of April of 1500,Pedro Álvares Cabral, officialy "Discovers" Brasil. And the rest is history.
