- Ich bin gerade dabei für die "Kleine Sommernacht" der Neuen Philharmonie Frankfurt zu üben... eins meiner Lieder wird "No more I love you's" von Annie Lennox sein. Ich liebe diesen Song und tatsächlich habe ich vor einigen Jahren schon mit dem grandiosen Christian Schneider eine Coverversionen aufgenommen, die ich Euch heute zeigen möchte!

Dear Kat, I hope this message finds you well. This beautiful song was first released when I was a teenager back in Brazil-- my home country.
This song became so special to me after my first girlfriend broke up with me. On that afternoon, I felt a pain which I had never felt before in my life.
From that moment on, I promised myself that I would never say, "I love you" to another girl. Well, I kept my promise for while, BUT, one day, during my senior year in high school, I met a beautiful blood girl who needed a physics tutor. She was a freshman.
Well, I began teaching her physics and we have been together since then, November 5, 1991. I married her years later, on December 29, 1997, when I came to study at The United States.
We have two kids who were born in the States while I was working on my PhD. Erika is 16, and Alex is 14 years old.
Last year, a month before the pandemic began, my son Alex came home after school crying. Upon his home arrival, Alex went straight to his bedroom. He always come to hug me. He did not do it. I really knew something was wrong!
Well, I gave my boy time by himself. Then, I went to his bedroom to talk to him. He told me that his first girlfriend had broken up with him. He was in too much pain! I knew his pain! I felt it many times before everytime one of my relationships would end.
I shared with Alex my experience when my first girlfriend broke up with me. I briefly shared the lyrics of this song with him. Then, I told Alex how I met his marvelous mother years later.
I told Alex that I was really glad that I could not keep the promise which I made to myself, "No more I love yous" after she broke up with me.
Now, I believe my dear wife hears me saying, "I love you" everyday. My teens see how much my wife and I love each other. By the way, my wife is the best broken promisse of my life!
Still, this beautiful song will always have a special place in my heart! It will always work as a precious reminder that better days will come for those who wait.

❤❤❤Voice of angel! It´s one of the most beautiful song at all time. I listening it again and it came my mind to check if there would be nice covers. Then I found this. You and this arrangement made honour to the original version. Melody is so magical, that it doesn´t need much of "stuff" above it. But that drum/bass groove is insane! Is it programmed or is there real drummer/bssist playing it? And your singing perform...you are so talented! For sure I have to check what else you have done.
