What are the coldest temperatures that you have ever camped outside, have you ever heard the cracking sounds that trees make when its so COLD outside?
Happy Camping everyone, hope you all get a chance to experience the peaceful solitude that the winter has to offer.

only in the teens farenheit in NY, and in the 20Fs out here (20s in the super dry is not so bad).... winter solitude is nice but we prefer the summer solitude of 110+ in the desert hahaha

-35 C. Without fire, urban camping. Punctured tire after nothing for breakfast and cold tent breakdown. Fun times.

On the opposite side of the spectrum I once camped in the Sahara miles from anything. Could only reach there by camel. It was the absolute quietest and most silent place. It was quite incredible, no bugs, trees, leaves, birds, nothing. Pure earth.

I got some great ideas from you , thanks so much! I take duraflame logs that last upto 3 hours with me when I go! A case is cheap and if you have a problem with wood they work great ! There also good to put on when you go to bed they burn for three hours with a small flame!

What a beautiful area! Am surprised by all the traffic on the trail. It looked well packed down. You Canadians are a tough bunch! 😁 Good firewood lesson about how not to cut down healthy, live trees.

    Just a little tip bro
Get a tactical long sleeve shirt
It has a lot of pockets on it
U can keep all your electronics in em and your body heat will prevent it from freezing
Also get hand warmers and throw them in your sleeping bag it helps a lot
    And one last thing
Get light sticks break em at night and throw it around your camp site
U will be surprised how much light u get out of them and they last 8 hours and if u don’t want the light anymore all u gotta do is burry it in the snow
Great video by the way and some beautiful spots u hiked to
Can’t wait for your next video .!
    Have an awesome day

Watching your vids for guidance. FYI I just learned today that there is a possibility that aluminum foil might not be the best option for cooking stuff. I've done it and never questioned it. There is talk that it leaches out into food. so depends how much u do it. I'm looking at parchment paper as alternative. And with that it shouldn't be the bleached kind. Should be unbleached (brown colour).

My man always comes strong with the grub! Dinner looked fantastic but I would have grilled the asparagus... not a criticism. Speaking of food, how did you store your food?
I’m jealous, here in the states (in most parks & I could be wrong) we can’t cut dead standing trees. Not an issue but it would make things easier!
    Take care brother!

    • @HurlgoatHiker
      @HurlgoatHiker  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks Zach, I like cooking my asperagus with the butter or coconut oil for flavour.
I'm glad we can cut the dead trees down and use them for firewood, in the winter you camp anywhere in the park and there really isn't that many people winter camping.
In the summer you are not allowed to just camp anywhere so the wood near your campsite might be all used up and will have to travel farther to gather wood, but I've never had any issues in the winter. Happy Camping my Friend.
