I think chief of ICC is right that about 1 billion are the followers, because 1.3 billion people is the population of India, but not everyone is the follower. Even my so many Indian friends doesn’t like cricket. And same goes for another countries ..

I think it is not practiced in more than 100 countries and also currently don't have a very large name internationally.
