That FBI agent asked Bill O'neal how he felt when MLK and Malcolm X died, he was absolutely apathetic, which is dangerous. It showed that he had nothing to lose and everything to gain. But in the end, the guilt of betrayal haunted him.
This reminded me of Hamilton's line to Aaron Burr..."if you stand for nothing Burr what will you fall for? " And Burr's apathy in a way destroyed him as well. Both Burr and O'Neal betrayed their friends and ultimately destroying someone else leads to self-destruction.

Dope Interview, I wanted a Black American to play the role of Chairman Fred, however after watching the movie and listening to this Brother speak, I am a new fan!
_Judas_ is a must watch. The fact that his informant still was able to remain in the Panthers and made beaucoup after that is mind blowing. Daniel's becoming one of my favorite new actors. He killed the role and had the mannerisms and accent down to a T. And he looked nothing like him.

This movie was so amazing. Both Lakeith and Daniel showed the complexities of these people during the movement. Afterwards I read about Fred Hampton and the power and changes he made in his life. Crazy to think he died at 21. Powerful

My dad almost joined the Black Panthers back in the 60's when he moved out to Oakland CA from Griffin GA, he passed a few years ago, and now this movie came out.. brought back some of the memories of the stories he told about that time, and now look where we at, everything comeback full circle...

I just finished watching Judas and the Black Messiah, and I just wanna say we need to stop nitpicking what race plays what kind of black person. Daniel Kaluuya acted his ass off. The most important thing is that the story was told and told masterfully. I believe in the best person getting the job, not just hiring somebody for diversity sake.

That FBI agent asked Bill O'neal how he felt when MLK and Malcolm X died, he was absolutely apathetic, which is dangerous. It showed that he had nothing to lose and everything to gain. But in the end, the guilt of betrayal haunted him.

I feel this brother. I like that he didn't run from the uncomfortable questions like, "What do you think about Black Americans not liking European Blacks playing historical Black American heros?" He wasn't dismissive and was deeply empathetic. Every Foreign Black Actor and Actress needs to show this same compassion to the struggle.
