Bill Burr is a national treasure. He’s a man’s man. I’m a Queens, NYC native that works in the trades in New England. If you have ever been on a construction site in New England, you’ve met quite a few Bill Burrs and they make work pleasant and are respected and despised by all equally lmaooo #PahkTheCah
Dame wasn't making some unheard of revelation that there's benefit to working for yourself. The problem was that he looks down on and talks down on literally every man that doesn't. It's impossible for *everyone* to be their own boss. At some point, those bosses need worker bees. As long as someone takes pride in what they do and can reliably provide for themselves and their family then there is zero shame in that game.
@@Chrisratata Yeah, dame is ignnt! I just found it funny and ironic because they are saying the same thing but for different reasons. Bill didnt want a boss because he doesnt have that kind of temperament, dame doesnt want one because of pride
54:00 I was in my last two years of high school when Chappelle’s Show first aired. You could not walk down a single hallway between classes without hearing those catchphrases being yelled out by random people. What a phenomenal show.
These guys did a good job interviewing Burr. He’s kinda a loose cannon. He’s from Boston and they will bust your balls. They don’t care you are. The last thing you want to do is take it personal. I’ve seen interviews to where people kinda take it personal and start trying to match wits with this guy and get burned hard. Charla handled himself well. The way anybody should interviewing Burr. He didn’t take it personal and laughed it off. He moved right along the next question and kept the interview rolling. Charla was able to laugh at himself and was completely comfortable which made this interview interesting and funny. I think Charla and the club did really good. Great episode for you guys.
NAH. i think if it was a black comedian, he wouldn't have fixed his lips to ask some of those questions he was asking. Bill has a tough skin so it was nothing to him. i think he was disrespectful.
Charlamagne laughed it off because Bill saw right through him and knew what he was doing. He had no choice but to laugh it off. CTG has a parsonality of a bully in a sense he will bager you if he knows you cant fight back but if you can, he'll back down. He is not a sincere person and what he says has double meaning. That is why Bill Burr basically told him to cut the crap. Ive seen Charlamagne put guests on the spot and hide insult them by pretending to ask questions when in actuallity he just wanted to put the guest on the spot. Mostly to prove his biased opinions. That is what Bill Burr was talking about at the end. Im glad he couldnt pull that shit on Bill Burr even if he did try.
Great interview. Bill Burr is not only one of the best comedians out there, he's a great story teller, he's socially aware, has great self-insight and honestly appears pretty wise at this stage of his life. Bill Burr at the Breakfast Club!!!!! Im glued in. I cant believe this was his first interview there. He needs to be a regular! Great Interview.
Really was the first?!! #WEHUSSLE #KaliefBrowder
During COVID, when we were all stuck home, I came across a lot of comic specials. His stucknout. He's is what I needed.
You and me both!!!
Most black women feel the same way. But how do y'all want white men so much, but love thugs also? They're so different 🤔

I love Bill cuz he is true to himself and everybody else, he keeps it 100 don't have to put on airs. Bill Rocks hard... I'm riding with Bill.
Bill Burr is and always will be legendary in the black community. We love him because he's real. For him it's never been about privilege; he doesn't resort to pandering or capitalizing on whatever his colleagues say is cool to do/say depending on his audience...

It’s the loaded gun effect. I’m sure they saw what he’s capable of when he gets going, so they were all on their best behavior.

I had the chance to meet Bill Burr in Brooklyn at the Jay-Z Book of Hov exhibit....The nicest down to earth dude. It was a pleasure Mr. Burr!
"You wanna have a sandwich, you wanna find love, and you wanna feel safe." Facts!!
100th like
Bill Burr: "i knew i didnt want a boss"
Dame: "TOLD YOU!"

Breh
If you say “Charla”
One more time ima fuccin RIP
🤯
NAH. i think if it was a black comedian, he wouldn't have fixed his lips to ask some of those questions he was asking.
The Breakfast Club did it right. They asked good questions and let them man talk through. Happy to see people getting along intelligently.

Great interview. Bill Burr is not only one of the best comedians out there, he's a great story teller, he's socially aware, has great self-insight and honestly appears pretty wise at this stage of his life. So few people are willing to examine their own biases like he does, yet he's also not afraid to stand by his principles and who he is. Much respect for the guy.
