If I didn’t know any better, I would of assumed missing link was a majoras mask rom hack instead of ocarina of time. The sound font they used especially is more majoras mask esc. than oot.

Also, Link's model is from MM and not OoT. Makes a big difference imo

I mean, lore wise it is supposed to be the "Link" between both games. So it kinda makes sense.

I love this game in all its bittersweet shortness. The passion that went into this project rivals that of the actual Zelda team and it shines in the soundtrack.

I wish I could just replace the obnoxious Deku Palace theme in Majora's Mask, with this theme forever. Except then I'd waste 3 days listening to it and the moon would crash.

@@metroidfan I heard you can remix some of the musics for Majora's Mask with the rando, but have you specifically done this with this deku road theme at the deku palace? can I really do this specificalyl? if so, that's what I'm doing forever!

Why? That theme was catchy, this is just...too emotional and sad for that place.

@@msw0322 the deku palace theme from majora's mask was NOT catchy to me. it was super repetitive, droning, and grating, like a 4 year old playing piano the first time. the "catchiness (something I have a mixed history with)" coud be interacting with my ocd/autism or something to "fixate" my brain in an annoyed state. to me at least. however, the one here is definitely melancholy, chill, spooky, and ambient -- and there's pretty much no game environment where I wouldn't love those things. wait, I'm thinking of the Deep Woods them. I don't think Deku Road is sad sounding. but the game i'm making right now is all about spooky, ambient, etc. i love it. like majora's mask's general vibe. I actually feel that melancholy, slow, spooky music fits better with the overall sad and lonely tone of majora's mask, than the upbeat stuff does. and yes, clock town's theme is similarly grating to me, though I do like it and in that case find the juxtaposition - a cheerful song against a looming doom - to fit well. but the deku palace one goes tooo far in that direction for me and makes me want to get out of there as soon as possible.
but your comment makes me want to make a remix of the original Deku palace theme from Majora, changing it to fit my style better. could be a fun challenge, like how i recently redid an Ultima IV song called Wanderer: th-cam.com/video/7Dh2dspxq-s/w-d-xo.html
