I just assumed it was because God takes pleasure in our pain and suffering; if not pleasure, our pain and suffering must be of some advantage to him. Either God has the power to alleviate our pain and suffering, and chooses not to; Or Satan holds more power over this world, and God is unable to thwart his evil. I’m open to the idea that we are a fallen people and these are the end times; I just question why and when God will bring about what is described in revelation…..
