I dont see why people hate on him for playing for Chile tbh, its incredibly common in other countries for players born in one country to play in another.
If I were in his place and if I have an offer from a foreign national team and none from my country's national team, well, it's to think about it: do you take a great offer that you have on the table or wait for one that may never come, considering that Am I playing in a second league team? If you go to a South American team and you manage to qualify for the World Cup, you have the press, television, and the big European teams start to take an interest in you if you perform well. In fact, I think I read somewhere that he got an agreement to play next season in Spain in a team from the first league. With all that background on the table, I would also be inclined to take an offer from a foreign national team.
@daemontargaryen6757 and why specifically those? They have a story with brereton or something?
@@diegosotomiranda4107they feel that most of these player have zero connection to the other country/ies(like Brerenton with Chile)
Like Sterling...
He wouldn't get picked for England that is why
What a true gentleman! And great football player!! Keep on doing what you’re doing my amigo!!
When he is asked for his favorite Chilean word, I immediately thought of bad words! I am also Chilean, that's why I know. 🤓🤓
As a German, I definitely would have chosen "weon". 😂
His accent is from the northern part of Chill-Lay.
00:55 Chile 100% 🤟⚽️🇨🇱
Brereton knows we love and need him 🙌
Ben Burreton!!!⭐⭐⭐🚬
The irony of Chileans supporting a Brit that doesn’t even speak Spanish and had never been to Latin America before joining the team. They tried to enter the WC by way of court because they couldn’t win on the field.
I don’t blame Ben tho… good luck to him
No sabia hasta que vi los highlights de el Chile-Republica Dominicana que este jugador era Ingles y jugaba para Chile. Le auguro un gran futuro. Espero que aprenda el idioma
As a Blackburn fan I am sad to see him go but best of luck - did great for us, but he is off so we move on
I read that he already has an agreement with a Spanish first division team. I don't know how true that is
@@eduardobarria7181 he’s true he’s moving to Villarreal
His heart is so chilean. He enjoys it so much
He wasn't good enough for England. We don't pick Championship strikers who aren't any good in the PL.
Cant believe his he called his mum ‘chile’ and not chilean 🤣
😭😭😭🤣
he literally corrected it afterwards
Mistake
It’s not that weird actually. Eg in England, if your parents support different clubs or different national teams, eg; england/ Scotland, or Everton/liverpool, you might say “my mum is Everton” “my dad is england” when speaking casually. It’s just replacing the word “support” with “is”. It’s slang speak.
Hablan Spanglish like me! Born in England proud Chilean! Doing us proud hermano!
queee
Class act. What a pleasant lad
Grande Ben, en Chile te queremos
He chose chile otherwise he wouldnt have international games 🤣 cant blame him tho, pretty cool! I remember when he came bk from international duty he changed name to just diaz n adopted a more South American vibe n started scoring goals 😆
No, because Chile doesn't have Big strikers. They need him. You literally can compare strikers height in South American team right now if you remove Ben from Chile. They're literally have 3rd shortest striker in that area.
@@hamzahsyahputra696 What you said is true and at the same time, in Chile there are good forwards but I don't understand why you don't put them on. Ben is one of those few youngsters who they put on. Unfortunately Chile occupies a lot of players over 30 and that does not help much
@@hamzahsyahputra696 South American football is hard and especially harsh. His attacking skills didn't improve as a consequence of playing alongside Chilean players instead it is bc he has to strike against teams like Brazil, Uruguay or Argentina
Stupid bloody questions typical sky, he plays for chile why ask him about england
One of our own Stokie
Fair enough
DIAZ DIAZ DIAZ up the rovers
How did the man not mention Salas as one of his footballing idols?! Maybe before his time but still haha
henry and wayne is a valid answer nonetheless
@@charly__ Of course! I'm not disputing that. I only mentioned Salas because he plays for Chile.
Stoke city sign this man up 🔴⚪️
in your dreams lol
Such weird choice questions whoever chose them needs to get sacked
This vid was so awkward and it looks like it was recorded in the 1980s 😂
It wasn't awkward at all, you're just an awkward person if you think that
@@xTrunczIt was hella awkward tbf. Interview on work experience.
come to brentford ben
He’s off to Villarreal lad
Would never cut it in the prem

Translate words to Chilean spanish youtube kuku good good
brereton is chilean! he just speaks proper english thats all.
Not that proper
He was born in Staffordshire.
we need you fellow stokie
No chance, Stoke are awful!
His value depleted by 50%😂
His value actually doubled. His game took off and he's currently one of Rovers' most expensive transfer values.
@@javimiami92 His contract ends this season
@Fin Fog yeah, he's headed for Villareal as a free agent.
@@finfog4590yes, and he goes to a wayy better team...
I didn't know he was born in Stoke-on-trent, I genuinely thought he was full on Chilean.
He'd never get anywhere near the English national team
Welcome to New Castle?... Like Jorge Robledo Oliver in the 1950'
Because he wouldn’t play for England…
WHY would any decent minded individual want to play for a football team that supports that disgusting BLM movement. Our country’s football clubs should be fined massively for there charade.
He played for England u21?
@@Rob-cy8xc yes he did
Well, that’s something will never know. Im pretty sure no one though Vardy would play to the Premier League, let alone the national team.
7:42 Hey Ben! come arrive to play on Universidad de Chile ❤💙 te espereamos Goleador.
basically the chillean matty cash
because it’s easier to win something win Chile than England😂
Corgi’s? What are them?
Spoiler: Not good enough for England.
What a Rubbish questions, Sky ! Very disappointed, lost a nice moment to have a great interview
Where's the love in England?
Because he wouldn't of got picked
He’s from Chili or chilly?
He might want to learn how to pronounce his own country’s name.
🤡🤡
Because he was never going to be able to play for England….
He played for England u21?
Him and Matty Cash pretend to have a connection to this part of their heritage when the opportunity to play for the national team arises
And u wouldn't?
How is he pretending when his mom from Chile 😂😂
He's half Chilean...
His moms is from chile 🤡
@@joseavila6101 I mean the guy has been doing everything based on being British, all traditions and stuff (he couldn't even speak Spanish) . Only when this opportunity comes up, they pretend to be connected to the other side. That's why he added Diaz go his name 😂
Because he couldn’t get in the england team🤣
He won Euro cup for England under 21, he was the MVP of the tournament and top scorer, he had both to play for belive me, it was become he value Chile more because of hes mother to make her proud, you can't take Chile out of an Chilean even if he's born and rase in Europe 😉🇨🇱⚡️👆
@@DannyGOaLChannel doesn’t change the fact that he’s not good enough for england
@@realfred3120 MVP of them all and you say " he's not good enough, Chile are better than England anyway, England lost to Chile before , and England is not good enough to win euro cup or world cup so Brereton have better chances with Chile 🖐 now u gonna say England has beaten Chile ? Or have more trophies? CHILE Argentina Brazil Uruguay can beat England anytime England cant win against those teams and youcsay England would be the better for Brereton but hes not good enough ?":, he got chile who beat England and have more trophies ? true fact , the best premier league pleyers are not English , England have never pleyed Confederations cup 😉 a cup only made for champions
How many world cups have chile won?
@@ShellysAshes when’s the last time england won a trophy?
talks about matte an argentine drink and shows macallister an argentine drinking it. wtf 🤦🤷♂️
people drink at southern chile too
Fascinating career less interesting interview
One of the worst interviews ever to be honest
fairplay, it's a chance for international football. he isn't good enough for england. nowhere near.
"Do you like corgis?"
"I don't know what they are."
Oh Ben, never change 🤣💙🤍
