- Wagashi is a type of local cheese made from cow's milk. It is a specialty of Northern Benin in Africa and is commonly made by the Fulani people. However, over the years the food has spread around Africa, particularly in the Savanna zone and Ghana is one famous country that Wagashi is a delicious delicacy. It is commonly known as wagasi in the Dendi language, gasaru in Bariba language. The French also call it Fromage.
As part of my Africa Street Food tour, I'm excited to share my experience with WAGASHI, the secret recipe of this food and take you through the journey of how it's prepare by locals in Temale.
