Nice video if someone is starting... I have a small indie jewelry brand (was on hold for a few years), now learning business skills and creating an online store. In terms of manufacturers, what is the situation with copyright? So that they do not create similar designs for other people or is it someting best not to think about?

If you buy chains/earring huggies from suppliers in bulk what would be a fair price to sell them for in a mini jewellery business? Do you include the shipping, material prices, etc.. in how to price them properly and get profit??
Yes you should definitely include shipping, material prices and all other costs you make to run your small business. You should aim for a profit margin that's around 40-50%

When you were first starting up your jewelery business did you offer 14 day returns. I feel confident about about starting up my own business there is just one thing that I'm apprehensive about and that's returns that's why I'm asking you if you offered returns when first starting out. Also do you get allot of returns or is this not an issue?
Here in NL we have a law that protects the customer. Every customer has the right to return their order within 14 days, so yes from the beginning we accepted returns. Overall we have a very low return rate. Great that you feel confident about launching your business! Sarena Lo Hi, putting different materials together is defenitely considered as “handmade”! Making completely everything yourself is more “making from scratch”. Hope this helps.

What if your u under age (15)do u still need to pay the taxes and have permits because I first started on mecari and I want to have a website
To the extent I know of, is that when you’re making money, you need to pay taxes. But I’m not 100% sure as to if it might be different in other countries.

How do you send your design to the Manufacturer ? Like in a pdf file or like how you design it ?
Usually a pdf file or eps if its made in Illustrator
@@TheElectricProject while making the design are there any specific details to be added ? Like multiple layers ?
The only thing you need to make sure is that you’ll have a bleed zone usually of 3mm. If you export, make sure all your layers are visible.

You had me until you said it took 4 years to acquire your manufactures. Girl buy lol you just didn’t want others to obviously buy from where you’re buying...anywho there’s many including DHgate
It absolutely took me 4 years to find a manufacturer that requires our quality standards for the right price with the right lead time and MOQ. You’ll find along the way that it’s not as easy and quick as you think especially with jewelry. Different production countries equal different quality results. Good luck tho!
