Hey Dina, I think you might need to make an updated video on how to play JD21 and JD22 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S because there's some information I just found out that isn't laid out in this video. I saw a Reddit post where somebody asked which version of JD22 to get between PS4 and Switch, so I asked a question in the comments about the rendered coach videos in the game. Since the videos in the PS4/Xbox One version are in 1080p, I asked whether the PS5/Xbox Series X/S versions have true native 4K resolution rendered videos or if the console does the upscaling. Then I was told that all console ports use the same videos which are about the same file size regardless of console, and that Ubisoft doesn't even bother to create footage of the maps in any resolution above 1080p. So then I asked why would Ubisoft make different ports for both PS4 and PS5 when pretty much all of the visual content is 100% the same and the PS5 port just removes PlayStation Move and PlayStation Camera functionality? I knew it would make sense for the Xbox Series X/S, at least until they add Kinect compatibility via a firmware update; but the PS5 console itself is backwards compatible with all PS4 games and the Move and Camera accessories only need a PlayStation VR adapter to work with the console; therefore it just doesn't make sense for Ubisoft to issue a PS5 port if it's essentially just a copy and paste job from the PS4 port with the extra functionality filtered out. Then I was told that it is simply a marketing decision: Sony does not allow the option for physical discs to contain both the PS4 and PS5 versions on the same disc like Xbox does. In short, anyone who feels like playing JD in 4K resolution on their PS5 should just get the PS4 version, set their console to the game's native 1080p and let their TV do all their upscaling.
I think Ubisoft was hardly paying attention to those ps5 accessories which is why they did not include it. In my opinion depending on what platform you’re using, I would stick with either Xbox one, ps4 or Nintendo switch because you can use the appropriate controllers (joy con, Kinect, ps camera and psmove) to score and made the smartphone as optional, but for the newer platforms (stadia, Xbox series x/s or ps5) you can only use your phone which requires wifi to play the game, even if you’re not playing either the wdf or songs from just dance unlimited. Honestly they should stick with those 3 consoles instead of making a downgrade version for newer consoles because the price is either the same as the older consoles or that the price is higher. Thanks for the info and I hope Ubisoft adds ps camera support for jd22 for ps5, over wise, just stick with ps4, Xbox one or switch.
I feel that Ubisoft lost a GREAT opportunity with the PS5. Since the PS Move still works on the PS5, I just can't understand why they didn't make it compatible with the game. This makes me think that the best option we have to play Just Dance 'New Gen' is the Nintendo Switch since the Joycons are WAY BETTER than playing with the phone. Finally, I think the Switch is going to be the competitive console for Just Dance.
yeah especially since the joycons at least have straps so if your hand gets sweaty and the joycon slips out of your hand it wont go flying unlike a phone where the only thing your holding is either the actual phone or a pop socket.
I somehow got invited by Sony an opportunity to purchase one and it arrives tomorrow. It’s kinda weird because I wasn’t even in the market for one of those but I figured I better take advantage of this!

Ubi NEVER LEARNS that the Level and Score recovery sabotages the Level 100 trophy (if you surpassed the level in another console, the achievement is locked) and makes the Megastar-everything-trophy harder to keep track of. Also, all phones vary on score, not just some iPhones or some Androids. ALL vary.
Thank you SONY and UBISOFT for the disappointment. Such a let down a HD camera has no motion sensor. Just dance such a great game well time to return the game.
Good video. Surprised Ubi can't get their act together. I bought the PS5 version of JD 2021 and was disappointed to find out that the only option to play it was with a smart phone, which makes zero sense. I realize now that I should have gone for the PS4 version. It appears that JD 2022 has the same issue on PS5 so I'll make sure to go for the PS4 version again. Seriously disappointing.
@@dorotaboss7336 They should allow the option for people to downgrade to the PS4 version who bought the PS5 version. I do have a camera adapter, but didn't realize that you need the PS4 version to get the option to even use it. Ubisoft should have also been upfront about this.

And then I'll buy PS4 version because I have camera PS4 and controller move. I love this game so much. I love dance but UBI just disappointed me so much with PS5 version...I hope they change it.

Small correction, you do NOT need a PS5 for the Adapter. PS VR is enough. How do I know? Well I sadly am one of those peeps without a PS5 ;-; yet, I still got the adapter! :D Edit: Got the PS5, and the Adapter is absolutely worth it.
Wow I considered on buying it on ps5 and the camera. Thanks to this, I ended up buying it the switch version. I would have been disappointed to find that the camera was not needed on the ps5.
I'd like to point out you can write a kind email about the adapter, just tell them you have the PS Camera (you don't need to prove you have the ps5 yet), and they may send you an adapter without you having to buy PSVR :)
that's true, my brother did buy a PS5 and I asked him If I could use it for Just Dance, after this not anymore, there's no Just Dance versions for Kinect in my xbox 360, so... I think I'm going to use Just Dance Now and play directly on my smartv connected to my phone, at least the only cost is the suscription :) thank you!
I have ps4 with just dance 2022 and just dance unlimited (1year suscription every December: december 2023 to december 2024) and 4x ps move controllers. I have a lot of physical games (disk format). I want to sell my ps4 and buy a ps5 ... so if I get ps5... and I play just dance 2022 (ps4 version disk) I will lost my just dance unlimited 😢 but I can use ps move controllers. I will lost Almost 10 months of suscription.

You can use a case with a wrist strap hole, in my case I got a case with such hole on AliExpress for my iPhone 11, Then I tied a Wii wrist strap to it. Like this, if I accidentally throw it both my iPhone and my TV are safe.

thats shocking to know that the new camera for PS5 doesn't work seems like a missed opportunity there hopefully they can get it working for either this game or the next one seems kinda crazy you can only play the PS5 one with a phone, especially for how expensive phones can be thats not something I would want in my hand with a game like that. also it seems strange that in order to get the cable adapter for the ps4 camera to even work on ps5 you need to have a ps5 and the vr headset? does the vr thing need to have that kind of adapter? seems odd you need to have both a ps5 and the vr headset just to get an adapter to use the older camera.
So yeah, definitely not worth owning the PS5 and the Xbox Series versions because it removes the mandatory option to choose the scoring methods and does NOT offer any exclusives. Sure Just Dance 2014 on PS4 and Xbox One kinda did the same here but Just Dance 2021 removes the option to choose the scoring methods, quite broken save transfer, no exclusives to make it worthwhile, forcing playing it online due to no other options to score, and the cherry on top is that previous just dance games on PS4 and Xbox One except Just Dance 2020 for PS4 will NOT play on their respective next gen successors. Definitely not worth owning a PS5 or Xbox Series if you're only to play Just Dance games. Shame Ubisoft for shamed!
Hi everyone :). I have the Just Dance 2021 release on the PS5 blu-ray disc, but I want to get rid of it and buy the digital version. Except that the digital version for PS4 is on sale, and the PS5 version is normally too expensive. As I know life, these two games do not differ in any way, apart from the marking (a marketing ploy in the form of the PS5 inscription and Ubisoft's practice of making money several times on the same), but maybe I'm wrong. So in the end, the question is will the Just Dance 2021 PS4 digital version flicker on the PS5 console? :)

The BEST console to play just dance is the kinect but nowadays is really hard top find a kinect
I love the wii versions of just dance, but kinect was really fun.....
I think that the best option for Just Dance is the Xbox only for Kinect that is better with tracking

For the PS camera, you can simply just buy one of those Chinese made dongle for you PS5 so you don't have to deal with Sony's crap.

thats shocking to know that the new camera for PS5 doesn't work seems like a missed opportunity there hopefully they can get it working for either this game or the next one seems kinda crazy you can only play the PS5 one with a phone, especially for how expensive phones can be thats not something I would want in my hand with a game like that.
also it seems strange that in order to get the cable adapter for the ps4 camera to even work on ps5 you need to have a ps5 and the vr headset? does the vr thing need to have that kind of adapter? seems odd you need to have both a ps5 and the vr headset just to get an adapter to use the older camera.
Camera V2 VR or VR1 VR with adapter work with PS5. But need to install version PS4 on PS5

So yeah, definitely not worth owning the PS5 and the Xbox Series versions because it removes the mandatory option to choose the scoring methods and does NOT offer any exclusives. Sure Just Dance 2014 on PS4 and Xbox One kinda did the same here but Just Dance 2021 removes the option to choose the scoring methods, quite broken save transfer, no exclusives to make it worthwhile, forcing playing it online due to no other options to score, and the cherry on top is that previous just dance games on PS4 and Xbox One except Just Dance 2020 for PS4 will NOT play on their respective next gen successors. Definitely not worth owning a PS5 or Xbox Series if you're only to play Just Dance games. Shame Ubisoft for shamed!

Hi everyone :). I have the Just Dance 2021 release on the PS5 blu-ray disc, but I want to get rid of it and buy the digital version. Except that the digital version for PS4 is on sale, and the PS5 version is normally too expensive. As I know life, these two games do not differ in any way, apart from the marking (a marketing ploy in the form of the PS5 inscription and Ubisoft's practice of making money several times on the same), but maybe I'm wrong. So in the end, the question is will the Just Dance 2021 PS4 digital version flicker on the PS5 console? :)
Bought my daughter the PS5 camera and game for Christmas, glad I saw this first. Why the hell would anyone want to use a smartphone?
