Thank you so much, I'm happy to share some notes! The key was changed simply from C Major to C Minor (and A harmonic minor for the Waltz) not much of a crazy change there lol. Big low bass notes at the beginning of measures was very important to get those powerful low tones that resonate very well. Changing the pitch register was important too, helping to create that eerie tone at the beginning. Apart from that though most of the changes were very small, minor details like making a certain note a full chord, or changing a progression here or there. The progression i liked for the waltz part was A Minor to F Minor back and forth for most of it. I appreciate the comment, thanks for listening!
