I'm just so happy to see you both reacting to this absolutely amazing show. This show is sometimes called "Seth Trek" because you can see the Trek influence so strongly. Also, most of the writers on Orville used to write for STTNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise and Jonathan Frakes also directed multiple episodes, so it's not a coincidence.
speaking of relationships, at this time Seth and Halston Sage were dating (Alara), in s2 we are introduced to someone new, (jessica Szohr) which just happened to be an ex of Seth's, and in Season 3 Seth began dating Anne Winters (who joins the cast that year). Seth is an HR headache.
Small correction, after 700 years, they don't spend 11 days in our universe. They're only here for a few hours. The 11 days is the time that they're not in our universe, but from our universe's perspective. So the 700 years is the 11 days. And then there are a few hours in which they're in sync.
@@akr357-o5u that part isnt necessary. Im Atheist, but i dont feel the need to point what I see as flaw of believe, towards other's real world personal faith. just pisses people off, rather than opening dialogue so that one side may one day change opinion. so long as engagement of both sides isnt just chaotic angry words.
I love this episode because...it makes you...think....
