    • @timkruger6354
      @timkruger6354 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The OEM port would charge both batteries and propably overcharge the extra battery bypassing the BMS. This should not be possible. You would have to disconnect the external battery every time you charge the scooters original battery. The way this DIY battery is just wired in in parallel is possibly dangerous for this reason.

I dont think that there is a high chance of high current damaging the scooter so not sure if ill use one. 2) Is it recommended to solder wires, did yours heat up because if the loose connections. 3) Does the speed increase or does it stay the same. Anyways thank you so much for this video. Hope i can do the same with my scooter and double the range. Btw im using salvaged wires aswell 😅

    That electrical fuse is useless and dangerous, the fuse melts when it gets too hot, so it doesn't stop high currents, it melts and continues until a fire occurs. There are two versions of this type of fuse, the one with the bigger housing will not melt as easily as the small one.

    Nice Vid! I also have a Hover1 Pioneer, just wondering if I am able to use 48v battery pack instead of 36v? I would not run them in parallel btw
