a really good tip for locking your hair that you have never mentioned is getting your hair under the SUN! really helps your hair thicken n coil up. at least 30mins to an hour any day the sun is out. Its very important for the health n growth of your crown

For all you dread heads starting with the sponge, it’s worth it. In a month you can see quite a difference!
i been going since late april except with towel rubbing, twistin, plus the sponge. i got full blown dreads now
shinigamizzz how much do you do each of those a day and how often do you wash?
I’ve gone a month with the sponge, crochet needle and wet my hair for the first time on the 3rd week.
BiTZ twist all day every *other* day, towel only at the beginning multiple times a day, sponge once or twice a week or sometimes every two weeks, wash my hair like every 2 weeks but wet it every week or sometimes multiple times a week to make em hang

BiTZ nah just dandruff and finger sweat man. and idk the difference between the two. i just feel like it does something to lock it up. i also use different amounts of pressure when sponging. forgot to mention that ive had dreads like 3 times before and also the top part near my crown isn’t so much locked as it is matted.

Great video, I have a question, my client wants me to clean up his fly aways on his Freeform locks he's had for 6 years now. He wants the loc neat & free from Friz but he doesn't want his roots to show, even when I use the crochet needle it still showed to much of his scalp🤦🏾♀️ He wants them neat but does want to see his parts he wants the lock only to look fresh, any recommendations????
I would recommend only crocheting the lengths of the dreads and leaving the roots with the new-growth so that the sections don't show

But since it’s short right now it’s definitely straight
Had to hit it with a bit of back combing and crochet hoook cause sponge or free forming definitely won’t work for me
