      God will soon open the eyes of the blinded ones . Y’all need to read the world with an open minded and continue reading from beginning to end as God will open ur mind to understand . KEEP DENYING and going against things , but like scriptures says in Matthew 7:14 “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” There will be a day when the King will return & all of this “debate” will be worthless be ready because scripture also says in 1Corinthians 7:29 “This is what I mean , brothers and sisters : The time has been shortened. While it lasts , those who are married should live as though they were not” God will judge each and everyone one of us on judgement day.

      I look forward to hearing about your Grace Awakening, when all the light bulbs and whistles go off, how that Paul taught us our salvation was not my ritual and obedience to man-made rules and regulations, but by faith in His works on the cross, and His blood that washes away our sins. When we have that freedom, we often want to give more and do more than when we were under the compulsion and coercion of oppressive religion.

    And another thing, how is wearing a hair clip with fake pearls or the headband or a flower pin on the jacket any different than a necklace? It's all so silly to me. Or a wedding ring??? That is jewelry too. They were allowed wedding rings in the church I left. Same thing as any other jewelry, but one is ok and the other is Not??? 🤪🤪

      No one can ignore the fact that the Old Testament makes great comments about the value, blessing, and beauty of jewelry. Even Abraham sent a Nose Ring and Bracelet to be placed upon the one chose to be Isaac's wife. Any denomination that focuses its efforts on attempting to say the wearing of Jewelry is against is, is in and of itself, anti-Christ and missing the mark on the purpose of the Gospel, which, by the example of Christ, was to set the captive (slave, yoke bound legalist) free to live in liberty and more importantly, in obedience to Christ alone.

    Wow this is excellent! I been wanting to hear this all explained all my life and I am 50! I was brought up in this type of strict religion and it almost destroyed me. A few years ago I agreed with Mom and Dad to go to church with them and I only went to support them and love them well as I sat enjoying the music the minister got up red faced and blurted out with a loud harsh voice this: " IF YOU CAN'T COME HERE AND DRESS AS WE DO AND ACT LIKE WE DO YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE BECAUSE YOUR NOTHING BUT A THIEF, LIAR, AND A STEALER!" Wow I thought!! You know he was referring to me cause I was the only one dressed like I do in my pants with my cut hair in how I like it!

    You are speaking the truth! I am a baptist but my church is all about relationship with God and living right however I have a good male friend who recently joined an apostolic church and he invited in hopes I think of me maybe joining ummm no! But I have watched two of yours videos bc the first things I noticed was the no facial hair (men) Jewelry, makeup, and pants however very elaborate dresses and hairstyles and wedding rings which I thought was jewelry...I mean I don’t focus on my dress for church but I do wear makeup and jewelry, pants not so much but that’s just out of tradition...but just talking to my guy friend I wanted to do some research on these strong views! I read some articles and thankfully stumbled across your channel! I will pray for my friend bc idk how he got caught up in a church of these nature I want only the best for him but I am not sure his church is it! Thanks for the clarification with scripture to back it up! I want to express some of these thoughts to my friend just to help him really deeply think but in a graceful no judgment way bc he is loosing family and friends over this! Speaking from experience, either people are brought up in a church like that or they have been mentally and emotionally or spiritually abused as children and that pattern continues into adulthood and so they are more vulnerable to controlling churches because there is a wound deep inside them and they go back to what they are used to. If you’ve ever had a friend who always dates scumbags is kind of the same thing with victims of spiritual abuse. Until they deal with the root of the wound and Jesus sets them free they will keep finding themselves in controlling abusive churches.

    The only reason why I was watching these kinds of videos is because someone I know started wearing jewelry and I wanted to do some more research rather than just remember what I’ve been taught in the past by “old school” Pastors and teachers. I wanted to see what the WORD OF GOD said and not just hold the rules of man (legalism) to be absolute. I can say that before watching this video I would look down upon people who wear jewelry. But I’ve asked God to forgive me of that and now I’m looking forward to giving this subject more thought, study and prayer. I don’t want to be legalistic and I hope that whatever happens, I can still have a good relationship with my family because they were raised in Apostolic churches that were more legalistic about these kinds of things.
    Thank you for showing us what the Bible ACTUALLY says and for mentioning at the end about the part of personal convictions. I don’t wear jewelry, nor do I intend to wear it in the future (I’d say that’s a personal conviction for me). As long as people don’t have bad intentions with wearing jewelry (e.g. with prideful intentions), I agree with you and what the Bible says.
    I started to think of jewelry like some clothing accessories that most people wear. A tie for instance, a tie bar, a hat and nice clothes. I wear these things, but I don’t wear them out of pride, but because I want to be well dressed on a Sunday.
    Thanks again for what you’ve shared and God bless.

    Nice video. Reading these comments is like going down memory lane. I spent the majority of my life in the UPC. I've discussed things like this for years with peers in the church.
    Sadly, ignorance is what keeps it going. The women do that because they don't know the scripture, simple as that. Neither do the men. Not poking fun, neither did I. 'What does leadership think? That's what I'll do'. You didn't mention anything about beards on men. Which was taboo at one time, but is now more accepted than ever. It was always stupid to say growing a beard was wrong, but it happened.

      Hello,
      I have mentioned that in many of my other videos. Facial hair were strictly forbidden in the church I was in. In other UPC Churches it is tolerated for people not in ministry or 'platform' duties. It's an incredibly stupid stance to take but the Pentecostal/Holiness movements knows no ends to their errant ways, doctrines and dogmas.

    I go to a small old timey pentecostal church that believe women shouldn’t wear pants/shorts, makeup and jewelry. We are not against women visitors coming in the church with these things on. They use to be against women cutting hair but have not said anything about it because there is a lot of old women in our small church who have hard time dealing with long hair. I myself have long hair near end of my back because I love long hair even when I was young and unsaved. I will keep growing long hair until I cant deal with it anymore.

    The instruction is to be modest. Anything that draws attention to yourself is not modest, including 3 foot high hair. Just be normal. You aren't holy because you have long hair or short hair, but those are simple instructions to follow as well. Men shouldn't have long hair, women shouldn't have short. No need to shave your head bald or grow it to the ground though. "The shorter/longer my hair, the more God approves of me..."

    Wouldn't the scripture 1 Timothy 2:9 be referring to vanity?

    • @DivideTheWordBlog
      @DivideTheWordBlog  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, but some have twisted 'not with gold and silver' to be any form of jewelry. Heck, my old church sold plastic tie clips because they didn't allow the men to wear metal tie clips, and women were not allowed to use any metal hair pins. Had to be wood or plastic. They missed the entire message of the scripture and went to Legalism with it.
      The most ironic is that they all have crazy high-hair do's and braiding styles which are amazing (I like it actually) but the first part of that verse...says not to have crazy braided hair! And the last part of the verse says not to wear expensive clothing... so uhm, why do most of the preacher wives spend thousands on purses and shoes?
      It's just them cherry picking Scripture to keep the legalism flowing.

      Hello BJ
      It absolutely is true that they teach heretical doctrine, however, in my experience, you'll connect with and help people to see those errors by starting with these smaller false teachings rather than going for the throat of the core heresies. Most people will hunker in, dig in their heels if you attack the core heretical doctrines first, but when they get an eye opener of these smaller things, such as Jewelry, clothing, abused authority, they can then open their mind to 'What else are they teaching that is incorrect?"

    For by His spirit we become partakers of His divine nature. Just like the Tabernacle so should we be.
    Pretty soon the creator of the video will iustify baptism in the titles instead of the mame as commanded in Matthew. When oyu lose holiness you lose the doctrine.

    Actually this speaking of tongues which is Xenolalia and Akolalia versions are nothing new...tongues are supposed to be in terms of languages...that is what i discovered...besides...God never is an author of confusion👉1st Cor 14:33...so when we state new tongues...it means new languages...mystery tongue is a language known by the individual but not to the rest of other races as they do not understand the language spoken by that individual...and hence that is where we get the term 'mother tongue...'angelic or heavenly languages can be prayed through known languages via the soul or the spirit through expressions...now...if heavenly languages or angelic tongues consist of Glossolalia estatic utterances or babbering...the question we must ask ourselves...what language was used between God and Jacob when they wrestled...?clearly the language used was human language as God said Jacob's new name will be Israel...and how about Joseph and Mary...?what language did Angel Gabriel used to tell them that a Messiah would be coming and that the Holy Ghost will overshadow Mary and she will conceive...?so these are areas one should never ignore...i believe in the story of the tower of Babel...when one single language was used...and thus it was easy for them to communicate...the issue is...they wanted to built a tower to reach the heavens based on their own merits to earn the favor of God...and thus it became a sense of ego and pride...and God will not tolarate such issues because pride...and self effort is never the way to earn God's favor and thus He went down and confuse them by changing their languages individually and thus communication broke down and they scatter far and wide...if they had built the tower to reach the heavens...then it will be based on their efforts and also disrupt the need for God to offer salvation for their sins...and thus...when Jesus came and became our Redeemer...He took all our sins on the cross and died...rose again...conquered sin and death that we may attain salvation...and that was the main point...God wanted to show man that they cannot achieve on their own merits to earn favor for all have fallen short of the glory of God...and the book of Acts was the time to restore back the truth...offer salvation and preach the gospels far and wide...so what was done at the tower of Babel to make man realise they cannot achieve salvation or favor on their own...God made a way through Jesus Christ...and that is the true meaning of praying and speaking in unknown tongues...going to various nations far and wide...to proclaim the good news of salvation and redemption in various tongues...so that various nations and races are able to understand and benefit from it...and Paul was thankful that he spoke more tongues than any others because the reason is there...he travelled far and wide to many nations and thus he speaks alot of different languages(tongues)...and to be frank...i do not believe the gift of tongues have ceased...there are many nations like tribes etc does not have multi media...and that is where the gift of tongues serve the purpose...UPCI from what i gather did broke away from the Assemblies of God...as for the Glossolalia speaking of tongues...it is uncanny between the two denominations...that said...Assemblies of God i do believe started that method of speaking in tongues via the Asuza Street Rivial in 1906...and the babbering is no difference from the Kundalini spirit...we must not forget this...Philos of Alexandria was one of the developer of the trinity doctrine and also believe in Eastern meditation in order to reach God...so this Eastern meditation is indeed a mystery...and from what we understand...the RC definity is not the true church and it is Mystery Babylon...the Potestants broke away from the RC and denounced anything to do with Saints and idol worship...but there are 3 areas which they did not compromise...one is the denonuce of the trinity doctrine...no.2 not keeping the true Sabbath and still keeping Sundays as days of worship...and no.3 the speaking of tongues which may be linked through the Eastern meditation subconsiencely...with estatic utterance or babbering...the manifestations of such a Eastern meditation and the tongues i believe was manifested in 1906 at the Asuza Street Rivial...William J.Saymour was born from a Roman Catholic background by the way...he further shared the estatic utterance or babbering of tongues by the way...

    I'm going to post hoping to stop someone from becoming the person on this video. Not that he's beyond hope but that at that stage only God can change them.
    On to my point though and that's the thing when one get's into rings, ear rings ect it totally misses the point of scripture. I'll cite just one scriptural example: the Word speaks of "not wearing of costly appearel". It's about modesty and leading a holiness lifestyle for those around you to WITNESS.
    It's really a shame that there are hypocrites in the church but you can't point to them and tell God, "oh their not real so I'm going to live how I want Lord." It doesn't work that way folks. Jesus tells us to "work out OUR OWN SALVATION with FEAR and TREMBLING."
    Obey the scripture, get right with God, get a prayer life and speak in tongues on the regular and stay in His Word and LEAVE REPROBATE channels like this in your rear view mirror. In Jesus Name!

      Wow spoken like a true judgmental Pharisee ! Maybe, if You spoke in tongues more, you wouldnt have such a haughty spirit.
      How do you know hes NOT"working out his own salvation with fear and trembling"?.....You quoted one scripture and it was out of context on jewelry . "Costly apparel" could mean anything.... How about 800.00 or more Suits and Ties the men wear ? Even if you didnt pay that much it still comes across as costly apparel..... And how about the hundreds of dollars the women spend on Skirts and dresses and 8 inch Heels 300.00 purses in your organization ? And the Elaborate hair styles and braiding the women do? Do you think thats moderate ? How about the expensive cars and elaborate homes your pastors live in.?????..that money could have been used to help the poor and homeless in the community and people struggling in the church.......How about the expensive vacations they take with tithe money ??
      God does not hate jewelry, He created gold and silver... as long as its in moderation, . You are very brainwashed by your legalistic organization. He has another video you should watch "How To Spot Pastor Worship"
      There are many many scriptures through out the bible that supports the use of jewelry . He quoted many of them in this video you didnt listen to. The New Testament says to dress in moderation and thats it. And there is no such word as holiness standard in the bible , Those are really commandments of men by men, AKA man made laws Jesus preached against. Whatever standards there are were already put in the NT by the Apostles and these are not in the group...Thou shalt not have a beard , watch tv, wear makeup, go to a movie,jewelry, nail polish, dye your hair, play sports the list goes on.....

    Then you must RIP out this verse out of the bible, says not to adorn with gold or pearls (jewelry)1 Timothy 2:9 KJVS
    In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

    Please everyone just read your KJV bibles instead of finding teachers with itching ears that turn away from sound doctrine. All the blind and lukewarm Christians will go to hell. Please study.

      Lol, we have read our bibles. It's the "churches" that like to cherry pick and take verses out of context and build cults based around them, mixed in with their own man made rules.
