- Note: this was filmed September 13, 2014. I have continued to do fundraising walks every year, and recently wrote a book! (How Should a Body Be?, www.amazon.com/How-Should-Body-Bethany-Meloche/dp/1542679354/)
Bethany I have had 4 surgeries on each foot for cmt and I would love to get in contact with you. I recently broke my second metatarsal and it's hard to heal but I would love to hear about the surgeries you have gotten. It could be similar and is it best to have braces after surgery healed and everything?
Beautiful video
Thank you Heather! ❤️
Peace & blessings to you on this CMT journey. If it wasn't for your videos, my condition would still have gone unnoticed.
Do you get tired faster then normal after walking a few steps, upstairs, and/or on an incline, and are you able to hold down full/part time employment?
Hi Angela, thank you - I'm so glad to hear that!
Yes, I absolutely fatigue quicker than normal. I am able to work full-time, but I work from home (doing social media management/marketing) which helps significantly to reduce physical exertion.
What braces are you wearing? Im 27 and Im going to California to get evaluated for Dynamic Bracing Solution's brace.
In the video I'm wearing Toe-Offs by Allard. Currently I wear Noodles by Kinetic Research. I hope you find a pair that work great for you - it can take some time!
Thanks!
Go Bethany!
Thank you!
Did you go to Camp Footprint in 2016?
You look familiar to me.
Yes, I was on staff! Hi Michael :-)
