  • Note: this was filmed September 13, 2014. I have continued to do fundraising walks every year, and recently wrote a book! (How Should a Body Be?, www.amazon.com/How-Should-Body-Bethany-Meloche/dp/1542679354/)

Bethany I have had 4 surgeries on each foot for cmt and I would love to get in contact with you. I recently broke my second metatarsal and it's hard to heal but I would love to hear about the surgeries you have gotten. It could be similar and is it best to have braces after surgery healed and everything?

Peace & blessings to you on this CMT journey. If it wasn't for your videos, my condition would still have gone unnoticed.
Do you get tired faster then normal after walking a few steps, upstairs, and/or on an incline, and are you able to hold down full/part time employment?

Hi Angela, thank you - I'm so glad to hear that!
Yes, I absolutely fatigue quicker than normal. I am able to work full-time, but I work from home (doing social media management/marketing) which helps significantly to reduce physical exertion.

In the video I'm wearing Toe-Offs by Allard. Currently I wear Noodles by Kinetic Research. I hope you find a pair that work great for you - it can take some time!
