Brendan is so wholesome and nice, also he's probably the funniest guy in core music. To me they can't do anything wrong and to me their albums are all good. I get what Brendan means tho.
Bound to the burn is a masterpiece. I was looking for a riff to play back in November of 2021 and came across a video by Jesse Doreen called unreleased counterparts riff. Learned to sorta play it by ear, then they played it at Palledium and I freaked out cuz I was like I know this song
The fact that The Current Will Carry Us is mentioned as their debut album speaks volumes for how small the reception for their actual debut album, Prophets, was and that's a shame because it's a really cool record and I never hear anyone talking about it. I would totally love if they played some Prophets stuff once in a while or some of their more obscure songs like To The Grave and John Locke. Very cool interview either way, great questions instead of pulling the same 5 questions every other interviewer would ask.
I think the first time I saw Counterparts was in 2012. This was prob (not 100% sure) their setlist: Only Anchors Jumping Ship (You Think You're) John Fucking Locke The Constant Goodbye, Megaton The Disconnect It was great.
Me remembering i was getting up the stage at The Disconnect and recognized i was the only one LMAO Brendan laid his arm around me and let me scream like 1 syllable then i got down but felt great :D
@@batman-sr2pxOfc people think the idols are attractive but just to say he likes Kpop because he likes "Korean girls" is kind of low. People are allowed to enjoy Kpop also for the music. Not to mention the skill of idols in dancing and singing.

John Locke seriously rules. Great tune
Only Anchors 🤘

It was great.
Brendan hates anything pre TDBHAH, its a shame cause those early albums have their best lyrics in my opinion

Great interview
Counterparts ❤
Great interviewer
I really think Brendon doesn't even like us, the fans lol
Good vocalist can have terrible music taste. Brendan murphy is the best example.
He's allowed to like what he likes. Chill.
@@JohnDoe-mv2be no one said otherwise. Doesnt mean we cant say anything about it.
tell brendan i dont like kpop
Brendan really like it? Or it's just a meme?
@@alanhernandez8392 he's into Korean girls a lot and if you follow him his rooms full of k pop stuff lol.
@@siegedoyle that makes sense. He can't seriously like k pop this much. There's just not much too it.
