I remember the first time I noticed in Link's Awakening DX that this was Level "0" and thinking it was kinda weird. Like, why not Level 9 or 10? But at the time, I didn't know the dungeon theme was a rearrange of the original Zelda dungeon theme; now I feel like it's a pretty nice gesture--like a tribute to the Zelda game that started it all.
Haven't seen anybody ask but if anybody is curious the instrument that plays at the beginning is a contrabass clarinet. And the instrument that plays the melody in unison with it later is a bass clarinet.
Here let me tell you about the shells around here in this game. WARNING THIS HAS SPOILERS There are 50 shells scattered across the island. Getting 5 gets you a heart piece. Getting 40 shells gets you a powerful sword. And WHAT EVER YOU DO IF YOU MANAGE TO GET ALL OF THE SHELLS SUPER SPOILERS AHEAD READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! you get a chamber stone with some rubies that's it
My first play through I grabbed the red clothes when I was doing a 100% of the game. The game was already easy, so I felt pretty overpowered with the red clothes. My second play through, I skipped half the hearts in the game as I felt like it wasn't necessary, so I balanced it with better defense.
Blue tunic is actually faster in a 100% speedrun, since the red tunic makes you fling things around, and the extra damage isn't worth the time you spend chasing monsters down if they don't die in one hit (particularly minibosses in level 8)
I like this music, but I know that you have to complete the first dungeon. I need someone to tell me that completed this game to tell me if I need the power bracelet or not. I know it's somewhere in the graveyard. And one grave moves. And that staircase is leading to the color dungeon.
@@gingersnap4457 You need the Power Bracelet (as of the Gameboy Color release, which shouldn't have changed) so you're best bet is to go ahead and get it.

Kinda same but then if it's get too much remixes it doesn't feel that special when this song pops up.

Face Shrine's just a little bit better but it's definitely a close second.
This game had such a good soundtrack. This song especially was awesome to hear remastered.
I love how they mix some passage with the original gb sound.
I hope Nintendo considers remaking the original Legend of Zelda from NES with Links Awakening graphics style.

i use it lol, mostly because you can already upgrade the sword
