Ngl I don’t know what upset me more in previous seasons: the fact that Adrien/Chat Noir isn’t a main character the way Marinette is, or the fact that they tried so hard to outright deny it for so long, especially since we wanted for so long to see more of his development.
I bet it would break Thomas's brain if people pointed out that Marinette has now caused twice as many akumatisations as Chloe has. They even had to lampshade it at one point it had got so out of hand. That is why I joke that Ladybug is like Batman "she is the origin story for her own villains" in way to many cases.. just like Batman is. Oh and in case anyone forgot Damocles and others had to willing submit to akumatisation to get past the protective charm suggesting they willingly conspired in a criminal act that the charm could have and should have prevented.
@@karensteimle1977 The art teacher let the class run Chloe out of the art class they really do use social ostracisation bullying on her... we are not supposed to notice that though. Bullying only goes down in Thomas's mind. Which is likely why he blames Adrien and Cat Noir for everything too as he doesn't see it as Ladybug punching down as the superior in the relationship.
I'm more scared about Chloe returning than I am excited, because knowing just what kind of person Thomas Astruc is, he will NEVER stop degrading Chloe further into the inescapable abyss, even as she has already been degraded to a state where she has hit her rock bottom, under the tyrannical control of her blatantly abusive mother. He will do EVERYTHING in his power to make sure Chloe suffers even more, and gaslight us into thinking that this is what she deserves. How much more can this 15-year-old take!? And anyone who even dares to try to protest for a Chloe redemption arc will face Thomas Astruc's verbal cruelty, a stark reminder that this is the way things are forever and we can't do anything about it. At all. So those of you expecting a Chloe redemption arc (I'm including you, Hazel), don't bother. I know when to give up when someone is beyond reasoning. It's safer that way.
You’d better preech! I absolutely hate the way he made her so much more evil just to get people to dislike her. That fact that people are actually falling for what he was doing is insane. And that plane scene is just him straight up torturing her. Also he tried to excuse the fact that her mother was terrible to her through what milene said about her mother. Anything the fans point out to defend chloe, he just tried to cover it up with scenes to make people hate her even more. I hope it’s true about what they said about him not being a part of season six. Also what he made her do, there’s no way anyone in Paris could forgive her so she couldn’t possibly redeem herself. It’s better she makes a new life for herself in New York
I mean it can be part of it for sure, but I’m also sure you smile at other people you don’t have a crush on. There’s more to indicating you have a crush than smiling
Like I think Zoe is so sweet and the confession in adoration is so sweet I love it sm. but that moment in sole crusher was her falling for mari? That was so lack lustre
@@hazeclarke I always got that impression due to the way Marinette scribbled her number on her hand and also later we see the symbolism of Zoe eating a Pink Macaron and Marinette eating a Yellow one. I suspect they were also hinting that Chloe still has an unacknowledged monster crush on Marinette and so that is as much as why she's so angry when looking through the telescope as she is angry with Zoe's betrayal. Even if Chloe won't own up to her monster crush she still feels it. There is also some indications that once she abandons any relationship with Adrien that she isn't just annoyed about him she's really annoyed that Adrien is dating Marinette too. Likewise how she was cruel to Nathaniel about when he was crushing on Marinette too. So there is this long running hint about that.. no idea if they will ever have her own up to it. I suspect that her deteriorating behaviour is partly due to her relationship collapsing with Ladybug too. So yeah the production wants to say Chloe's dumb and selfish and shallow then they keep dropping a ton of hints to say she's anything but that simplistic. Trying to make her like that now is simply backpedalling her character and also applying some of Lila's behaviour to Chloe and removing some of Chloe's and slapping it down on Zoe instead. Just imagine if the apple scene had been written for Chloe after she'd faught Hawkmoth off and willingly returned the Miraculous at the end of an alternative Miracle Queen.. or she'd never got akumatised at all or if she had she'd explained why she had to defend her parents & out of jealousy of Kagami. Then you have the apple scene with Chloe instead.... and the end result is Chloe eventually gets the Bee Miraculous back under a secret identity. That is what the seem to have undone in favour of moving everyone's role in the show around. I fully expect Lila will get a redemption arc at this point. & if Felix can get one Lila's perfectly possible too. One day someone will remake this show and Thomas won't be involved and I bet then Chloe will be seen in a different light. What they do with Chloe sometimes happens with Spider-Mans's Flash Thompson too he sometimes gets no consideration either. (when he's in a very similar situation of hero-worshipping Spider--Man and being antagonistic to Peter)
After Chloe was sent away and I realized the show still had some seasons left, I wondered what these writers would do to have more substance for their script since the "We need to make Chloe look bad" episodes took up a good chunk of the last three seasons. I roll my eyes now knowing they might immediately bring her back. Tomas still wants to have his petty revenge against his childhood bully and expecting that to change is a waste of time. If the movie gets a sequel, let's hope Chloe will get redemption there since Tomas hopefully won't be involved in it.
i think Thomas mentioned that while there wasnt enough funding for a spinoff based on the reverse characters, they would eventually return at some point. while he didnt explicitly say how, i'd assume he was implying during probably season 6, so, i think, the Supremes Backstory already being written could be referring to that? Perhaps there is a two part episode that sees the return of these characters, and reveals the supremes backstory and possibly seeing his defeat w both characters, w maybe our main characters going in2 the supreme universe?
4:07 nah, I'm pretty sure that they just want to shove that in our faces.. honestly Adrien should be the main character plot wise.. no shade to Marinette but his character Arc is much more interesting in my opinion and his father was literally the main villain and we didn't even get to see them fight, not even alongside Ladybug.. I hope that Adrien can get more screentime and development and different character arcs with Nino or Luka or anyone in season 6.. otherwise I'mma be disappointed, but tbh, I'm not counting on the fact that they will deliver.. they always try to make Marinette involved somehow even if certain things are more relevant to Adrien himself.. and that's what I don't like about the show.. hopefully they give Adrien the screentime he deserves.. Hopefully they can redeem Chloe successfully if they will do it.. and I can't wait to see more Nathalie.. and I also can't wait to see the backstories on Andre and Gabriel, and more so, the Supreme.. This means that hopefully we can see Shadybug and Claw Noir again soon.. Anyway, cool video :D
I would be curious if they use any of the back story development for Audrey or not. They do hint that both their set of parents are a chore. If Audrey "became her own mother" then it is cruel to make Chloe the 3rd generation of it. I also really really want to see Mr. Lee.
I think part of the reason why they made Marinette the main character is BECAUSE Adrien’s backstory and character is a lot more mysterious and darker…it’s like a teaser, in a way. I love both Marinette and Adrien equally but in different ways- with Marinette I can relate to her and she’s goofy yet has to grow and learn who she is whereas with Adrien he’s the cool, exciting saucy love interest with a dark backstory and it’s fun how their Kwamis and color schemes reflect that. I definitely think we need more of him though…especially I hope they do more with his design (I actually wish they would have kept his green hair from the Reverse Special or give him green streaks like Marinette is supposed to be getting red streaks). If the show never ends then maybe we’ll see a lot more exciting things with him in the future 😼

I kinda felt pretty negatively when they they had Adrien being emotionally abused and sexually objectified then they let Ladybug beat him up as he ruminated about why they kissed during Oblivio. When I see someone physically flinch away in fear of a blow I know that person is the one in the weaker position and that is what happen Ladybug screams at him (again) and he flinches away in anticipation of a blow.. and so Cat Noir caries on taking it like a battered spouse.
Chloe is back 😳 I hope she actually contributes something interesting to the show or gets somewhat more depth in her story because her presence will but be stale and tired otherwise. They’ve established she’s a sociopathic bully and she got bad karma in her last appearance so I don’t see the point of her returning, but that’s just my opinion 🤷♀️
I expect she will want to get her hands on a Miraculous for her own use - because 'reasons'. & when she does unlike "actual sensible Chloe" she will be condescending a cruel to the Kwami. rather than charmed and happy as she was with Pollen (as shown on Instagram). I really think they killed Instagram not because of the expense as because it showed up how much they'd retconned Chloe.. as does every single scrap of pre-production material about Chloe too. It is so darn Obvious that the earlier "sweatervest" Chloe was nowhere near as antagonistic to Marinette, and was more a "rival" than an enemy. Which in a way is perhaps what should have done with Lila. You know like in romcoms where there is the fake out second act romance plot - that is what Lila could be instead of just some crazy person with mommy issues.

It's called the False Bait Tactic. In season 2 thousands of fan wanted a redeem chloe, they knew that they could use it. They knew the fans would keep coming back. You too have fallen for the trap. Believe it or not Lila was suppose to be Miracule Queen, But chloe had more screen time so they change it to her. This had the effect they wanted. Chloe redemption supporter kept flocking back. At the end of season 5 episode 23 we get a major status quo change not once but twice. 1 Marinette and adrien no longer change back however this was used to hide the real status quo change. Remember we have seen Chloe truly cry before not the fakes one lila does. Maledickator. This episode shows chloe at an emotional breaking point. Same thing happen in the season 3 finale Chloe felt betrayed however that was the true start. And it all comes to ahead in season 5 episode 23. Where Marinette flat out tells chloe she has no power and is ridiculous utterly ridiculous. this moment shows that she knows she screwed up and Didn't she seem afraid of her mother? I think in season 6 we will see a broken chloe, and I believe she will be the perfect pray for the supreme.
She will never change because of how they have to sell the story and characters to the investors and they probably want the series as simple as possible. Therefore all the characters are almost always black and white
@@90lancaster exactly…that’s why I strongly prefer Movie Chloe…she and Marinette’s were more like sisters with an on and off sibling rivalry and I actually found their dynamic funny and sweet (and she felt more like a goofy Disney “mean girl” a la Sharpay from High School Musical, in a good way lol). I adore this show but I already find Season 6 a bit perplexing and it hasn’t even premiered yet. We’ll see what happens…
That gives them the excuse to treat him as poorly as Max and Nathaniel then. Heck I keep hearing that Ivan (of all people) is getting a significant plot going forwards that has some resonance to Adrien's previous situation and that they likely will ignore that resonance entirely just like they did when they ignored the synchronicity between Rose's Illness and the situation with Emelie's failing Health and then Nathelie's too. I fully expect that the whole "Motherlessness situation" won't ever come up in conversation with Mylene or Alix either much if at all. Adrien just got made a double Orphan and all we see is him being all happy that he has a girlfriend now.
@@90lancaster i think adrien should’ve been the main character or at least the story in season 4 and 5 should’ve had more scenes from his prospective because he has a more deep character than Marinatte and marinatte whole character revolves around her love or should i say obsession with Adrien and even now the secrets that will give her character more depth are two secrets about adrien,and her past trauma with kim felt so last minute thing just like zoe, because she went to the pool multiple times before that and never had that flash back just like how chloe went to NYC and didn’t mention her half sister. i want the show to have side stories about characters that doesn’t involve marie/lady bug even if she’s the main character,every thing shouldn’t be connected to her,like avatar the last air bander,though anng was the protagonist they’re was some side stories and characters development that didn’t include him or force him to be in the plot, like zoko and azula's team,or katara's and toph's motherly/sisterly relationship, or whole iroh's character,they all weren’t so important to the main goal but they made a good contrast, miraculous feels like ”the tales of ladybug and marinatte” because most of things is about her.

@@TinaJohnson-rr5ns That is a gross exaggeration by Thomas there & and what about Adrien completely ignoring Chloe his so called 'childhood friend' entirely within 2 days of arriving at school he didn't have anything to do with her for most of the show and acted like he was disgusted she even touched him. A much better way to deal with that is to slowly have Chloe warm to Nino after bubbler & have Adrien be given the bee Miraculous to hand out which he then gives to Chloe (because balance). Instead of a show where Adrien is actively kept from even knowing there is a Guardian for many weeks after Marinette finds out about Fu. They could easily have had Plagg be Plagg and make him meet Adrien as soon as he finds out Ladybug knows - but instead Plagg is just Adrien's pet cat and has no agency really unless the plot decides he has too. Also not only did Adrien abandon Chloe's friendship inside 48 hours he also kept letting ladybug lie to him and also made no serious attempt to befriend anyone other than the people he sits next too. That is especially odd in consideration of Alix, Juleka & Max I feel. He has reasons to interact with Sabrina too and never does. The young woman who dresses up as Cat Noir barely ever speaks to Cat Noir !

Chloe being in season 6 hurts me please at this point it feels like Thomas just doesnt know where the story should go. He uses Chloe’s character half the time to create akumas. And he makes Chloe’s character worse and saying it’s out of character for her to be good when it’s not. 😭😭😭
As much as I would love to hear the backstory for Gabriel and Andre, at the same time, I really want them to let go, and focus on new content, new villains and their motivations. They had 5 damn seasons to flesh out Gabriel, he is gone, and giving him more and more content now is pointless for me 😢. Maybe it is so Cerise can blackmail Adrien? No clue.
It might just be exposition that Nathalie gives Marinette about how they found the Peacock & Butterfly Miraculous & the Miracle Book. She might also hand her the real Miracle book too perhaps. Then later someone might see the book in Marinette's House who shouldn't. ( I don't think she had it when she was repairing the Miraculous - I think she just used sketches and printout of the scans likely with Su Han helping)
@@90lancaster Sure, I believe that these informations would be interesting for Marinette and the audience. I have my own theories about their backstory and would love to know writers ideas. But my problem is that Gabriel's arc is technically over :/. And even he was a decent villain with great motivation (although terribly mishandled by the show), I think that we are already past his prime and writers should be more focused on setting the stage for the new villain. We already should know all this stuff about him after FIVE seasons of him being the main villain! I'm always here for more lore. But when it is not in the right time, I'm feeling like eating melted ice cream - taste is still there, but it would be so much better if served earlier 😥
I seriously hope we see Shadybug and Claw Noir again! (I’m not calling her ladybug lol), IMO Shadybug is a lot more interesting than ladybug/Marinette, even her evil & good designs are better than ladybug which is odd because you’d think Ladybug would be the one to get a better costume and it’s not just because she’s a fashion designer but because she’s the *main character* Usually you’d want the main character to have the best character design out of everyone.
Shadylady's costume is very similar to the new ladybug costume so much so the only easy way to tell them apart at anything other than close up is the hair style and colour. I hope they keep some of Emonette's Edge.. I think it would be hilarious if they put her in front of Kagami, Zoe or Chloe - not that they are likely too. & I don't expect they will let her keep any edge either she will likely just be similar to Season 4 Ladybug I.e. Marinette only a bit salty
Chloe deserves another chance to do good in future seasons as Queen Bee. We need to convince Jeremy Zag to take over from thomas astruc to fix and change Chloe Bourgeois' redemption!
They did say before that The Reverse Characters will show up again just in the normal Paris, what Thomas said was to expensive was to remake everything for a new show of its own. So basically like Jess is going to show up again so will Emonette and Her Boyfriend Mr.A-ll the bad fashion choices in one-drien. So I guess that Implies the Supreme will either stick to a single location in their own Universe or will be Universe jumping themselves. Personally I'd actually rather see the two from a Universe where they were both Kwami Swapped the entire time.
There gonna show us Lila doing the deflagration dance right after stealing the butterfly… On a real note though it’ll probably be a song with ladybug and cat noir showing off All of “new” Paris so we can get a good look😭
Nathalie might be considered co-guardian of Adrien perhaps. especially if she's named as such in Emelie & Gabriel's wills. I believe Felix and Amalie are living at the Mansion now too. Maybe Felix will get his own room ? Maybe they might finally show that darn roof garden properly on the Agreste mansion too. I can't see how Nathalie, Kagami and Felix can't NOT find out he's Cat Noir pretty darn quick if they are around a lot too. But I guess Plagg has to be careful to avoid Ladybug/Marinette when he's at home too.
I can't wait any longer, I need more things from the reverse universe, I'm more eager to know the story of the Supreme than Lila hahaha, besides, I really need the story of the Supreme to finish my Miraculous fanfic, so Thomas, reveal it to me , show us soon

Well, at least we're eventually getting somewhat of a backstory to the "friendship" between Gabriel and one of the many people he has a history with. This is probably 5 seasons late but, hey, if they want to go with something of a walk down memory lane remembering the former bonds of a dead emotionally terrorizing mad man, then sure why not. Let's see how much of a sane man he was once upon a time. Regarding the Supreme, I feel like if the show gets a third villain arc, then the Supreme would probably be the best candidate with some insane merging of the two universes through one of Lila's actions which leads to the Supreme terrorizing both universes at once and trying to destroy more leading to the third Arc being an ultimate Miracuverse showdown. In regards to Chloe, I feel like it's more that we'll get glimpses of how she's fairing living with her mother. As for her being good not being in her nature, maybe it's implying that she can't be anything less than high maintenance and sass but not uncharacteristically cruel. Either way, as long as her character just makes sense this time and not her being calm one minute and then suddenly hearing that she's secretly a serial killer and has been for months. Can they also hopefully not make her seem so dumb at times like how she kept fumbling with the word 'Democracy' like it was foreign to her. Chloe may have not cared about certain current affairs but even she's not that oblivious to fail to pronounce a word that she probably easily pronounced in earlier seasons, so that's just an insult to her character. *Also, if anyone's a possible young serial killer in this then that's definitely Lila* As for Nathalie,......LET US REJOICE THE RETURN OF OUR FAVORITE BADASS, BOSS QUEEN 👑🎉🎉🎉🎉 As for the songs, I'll withhold my comments until I hear them. As for Zoe,....... I'm sorry, what?!?!?!?!?...... Listen, Zoe is an absolute sweetheart cinnamon roll but in what way did the way she looked at Marinette give any indication of her crush on Marinette?!?!?! It looked to me like Zoe was just happy to meet a friendly face as the first person she interacted with socially since arriving in Paris. If anything, Zoe's crush was more apparent in her time as Kitty Noire and the ADORATION episode, so the earlier episodes just felt more like Zoe being happy to have a wonderful and caring friend before she could admit to herself that she had a crush on Marinette. As for the akumas being majorly the ones responsible for their costumes,.........do you mean to tell me that Nino was responsible for himself looking like a toddler's bath toy in BUBBLER or that Marinette's grandfather had been responsible for that atrocious excuse of a costume in SIMPLEMAN?!?!?!?!! No no no no no no NO!!! I REFUSE to believe that a civilian will manifest some of those crazy outfits without an outside influence at the helm. I know the human mind is capable of surprises but this is ridiculous. Gabriel|Hawkmoth|Monarch had to have had some influence in those designs, after all, he dresses up like a candy cane with a dollop of whipped cream for hair. Now, with the first glimpse we got of the first akuma in season 6, I would be more inclined to believe that statement, but with Gabriel's case, NEVER. Finally, in regards to Adrien's position as a character, it has been made painfully obvious time and again that he is clearly not on the same level as Marinette, but it feels like with the season 5 finale, the just reduced his presence to being more of a prop than a character especially with leaving him out of the final confrontation with Gabriel. I mean if Marinette|Ladybug|BugNoire is still the one saving the day fine but at least let the boy air out his grievances. Keeping him in the dark is setting him up for either a very bad mental breakdown or a temporary villain arc of joining Lila out of being manipulated by a false hope that his father and mother can be brought back and everything will be just peachy. That being said, some of this information both surprised and didn't surprise me, while some of the information has me very concerned.
I only believe the akumatized costume thing because Adrien is for some reason obsessed with egg shaped heads and being bald😂 he chose that outfit when he was aspik and did it again in ephemeral But also with they way it was worded can they possibly mean in season 6 Lila let’s them choose?
An interesting reminder they said years ago that there will be a "female villain who has been around the entire time" Maybe they just meant Tomoe or maybe Amelie or Maybe they mean Lila/Cerise/Iris is only a 1 season threat.

"Chloe will appear in season 6" - Unfortunate. I think they've flip flopped enough on this character and my investment is done. I simply just despise her at this point. "Adrien is not the same level of main character as Marinette" WELL THEN YIN AND YANG IS COMPLETELY POINTLESS. The more decisions they make, the more I tend to just want to walk away from the show. I got my hopes up for season 6 because they said it would focus on Adrien more. Which is what I hope would be the culmination of all the lies and secrecy that Marinette has kept from him. I truly hope he learns the truth but if something big doesn't develop for him in season 6 regarding this. I can't continually be strung along in hopes that they might get it right just once.

@@hazeclarke What I found exasperating about it was they just automatically defaulted to the normal trope of one super hero of any duo being in charge and never two being equal partners - which we have never seen, and if their powers were REQUIRED to be in balance to work properly then they could have used it as a means to promote compromise, empathy and co-operation instead of randomly have Cat Noir end up as being Ladybugs shield with no opinions or contributions of his own - whilst trying to have it both ways that Adrien is a complete moron or smart as the whim takes them, they'd been treating him as a fool for so long when he started spouting things about horse breeding I was like.. "have you ever even seen a horse". Maybe that is just them reinfocing the idea he's a disney princess by having him spout horse facts like he's a little girl.. where as Ladybug has now taken to punching people close up unlike previously & getting knocked around by akuma.. where as before they tried to avoid having her take hits. The show is just really mixed or even out right contradictory in its messaging. Where Marinette will give a speech about Adrien free will to Gabriel and then continue to Boss Cat Noir around as Ladybug. To often that makes Ladybug look like a "do as I say - not do as I do" kinda person.
@@hazeclarke I know right?! From the sounds of other comments, it does look like the direction the writers would like to take the show would be having them equal. However, the executive team has made sure that the writing team makes Ladybug the main star. I wish I knew more about television creation to understand what is happening behind the scenes.
Zoe was looking at Kagami like she was made of Chocolate at one point and she was also flirting like crazy with Scarabella too. I think she's just thirsty.
With regards to the Supreme, didn't Thomas Astruc say that while a spin-off series wasn't feasible, that we hadn't seen the last of Shadybug and Claw Noir?
Guess I'm excited for everything. I'm very interested to see not only the Supreme's story but tell me who he/she is! I've already two almost if not two novel length stories where Marinette and Adrien fight the Supreme. As for Adrien not be equal, that I why in my fanfics (at least my longer ones I switch back at forth between the two main characters). I really think he deserves more time as it called Ladybug and Cat Noir not just Ladybug. Sorry for the ramble!
It would be like watching Batman & Robin & then Robin barely shows up or contributes. Or in other words Adrien gets less consideration than a side kick would. The show barely treats Alya any better either.
I hope Zoe does get more attention this season, not just through Vesperia, and I seriously hope Adrien gets his chance to feel and let out all the anger he feels about being lied to. And hopefully it doesn’t all come crashing down disappointingly.
There is two rumours about Zoe one being she dates Luka the other being she dates the Butler's daughter. I wouldn't mind if Sabrina dated Luka though as that would be super cute ship too.

Wow! Some statements I like. Some I don't! Gabe and Andre's backstory sounds interesting. Even if Gabe's no longer around. Maybe they'll have Andre remember his time with him. Or Cerise could use a kwagatama to speak with Gabriel's memory and have him reveal his backstory. OOOOH, since he tehnically was a Ladybug user too as Monarbug, I wonder if Marinette will use her kwagatama to speak to him. I'm also excited about the Supreme's story: his origins, his motives, his identity...Everything! I like Miraculous songs so I'm looking forward to that new song too! I also like that Nathalie will be developed in the future, hopefully in her relationship with Adrien in a mother-son way. I also hope Adrien will have more meaningful relationahips with other characters, like Felix, Amelie, Alya and Juleka. I think the creators stated once before that the akumatized villains design their own costumes, an example being Nathaniel. But I think it's in a subconscious way, because I don't think anyone in their right mind would spend their time designing a villain costume for thenselves. :)) Now the stuff I don't like... First Chloe...I've read fanfictions where she redeemed herself and I liked them!! In those stories she's still mean but in a superficial way and more for comedic effect! Unlike how Adrien described her nasty personality at the end of Guilttrip. How is it possible for fans to create a better version for a show's character than the show's own creator?!!! I really hope that Chloe will change/be written in a positive way in season 6. Maybe as confidant to Adrien, maybe with Nino, since Marinette basically got all the others. :)) As for Adrien...there's basically everything. I have so many thoughts on how his story can be improved they're all tangled in each other. I'm not a show/movie producer/director/creator, heck I can barely use my phone to film a 2 good minute video. 😂 So I'm not stating that I could do better. BUT COME ON! EVEN I KNOW ADRIEN CAN BE SO MUCH MORE! I don't mind the female being the main protagonist. I've watched shows or movies where the protagonist is female and I've enjoyed them very much. I also like Marintte as a character. But if you wanted a Marintte oriented show, then why make her part of a duo that's supposed to represent balance between the two oppsing forces that are the base for the laws of the universe!! Especially if you wanted her to have both powers and defeat the big bad alone in the end while Adrien is a Ken whom you said with a ❤ that he's not a main character in the way Marinette is, despite the Big Bad being his dad! In season 4, he was mostly controlled by his father in more ways than one, was left in the dark by his partner even in regards to the identities of the heroes Hawkmoth knew about and while she advanced in personal and miraculous growth, basically all season 4 showed about Adrien is that he can't play soccer and he ended things with Kagami on a worse note than Marinette did with Luka. With every season, Adrien's been doungraded more and more! Even in season 1, Ladybug was more important since only she had the power to fix damage and purify akumas. Then se became the guardian's aprentice and got to pick wielders in seasons 2 and 3, became the guardian and relied more on Alya and holders whom Cat Noir doesn't know he knows without telling him squat and, just like it looked this might change in s5, the Last Day arrives. 🤦 Master Fu is mostly okay as a charcter, but his decision to leave Adrien in the dark was honestly a bad one. The only instance where he met with Adrien regarding miraculous teachings was in Syren, when Adrien threatened to quit, and I think he thought him more chinese than things about miraculouses. 😂 And yes Adrien may be reckless and not thinking things through, may give to much chances to the wrong people, and may let his emotions guide his actions, even admiting that he has emotional impulses that are hard to control in Glaciator 2, most likely because of the calm and colected persona he had to mantain with his emotionally abusive father . But that's also because he literally had zero people to teach him to control them, like how it was said at the end of Re-creation. I believe Fu could have helped him in that regard by just being there for him. Not to teach him miraculous stuff but just to offer advice about life and things like that. At over 100 years of age, he certainly has experence. Just like Fu was forced in the guardian life without any say, he left Adrien in the dark without saying anything to him, let alone explain his reasons. In the end, Fu is a good person and was a great mentor to Marinette, but not Adrien. I also realise that Adrien's advice to Marinette regarding Liela was not ideal, but yeah let's not forget he's still new at all this social staff and his only friend before the series was Chloe. Marinette had her parents and she still had Master Fu, adults with life experiences that could've guided her. Marinette herself stated that Adrien was right in not confronting Liela directly. Also, Adrien, like Marinette, has manny skills, but while Marinette's are shown manny times and the show added more to her list, like her building her chase as revealed in "Adoration" and being an excellent footbal player in "Penalteam", and having the physical and mental capacity to wear most Chinese Miraculouses, Adrien's skills are rarely seen. And while Marinette has no rival in fashin designing (not counting the older and more experienced Gabriel), Adrien has his rival Kagami, who is as good as or even better than him at fencing. Furthermore, despite Adrien being an excellent fencer and knowing Kung Fu, he couldn't defeat Lady Wifi alone as Cat Noir while both Nathalie and Felix held their own against her + Reflekta and Princess Fragrance. Also Alya as Scarabella defeated him in a few moments, despite Adrien's combat skills and her first time with the Ladybug yo-yo. 😑😑😑Also, Marinette evolves her powers and has bunch of different unifications with a bunch of different miraculouses. I actually believe that Adrien might be holding back unconsciously, like how he normaly helds back from cataclysming living beings. Just look at how easily he overhelmed and took down Darker Owl and Dark Humor in "Jubilation" and "Derision"; i think its because he was to angry to hold back. Despite Marinette's statement that Cat Noir is ireplaceable, she was quite mean to him on occasion. In Reflekdoll, instead of encouraging him like he did her in previous instances, she joked that her job wasn't as easy as it looked and resolved the lucky charm for him instead of letting him figure it out as the Ladybug user, she became annoyed with him in Rocketear for going to Alya to talk about any alleged feelings without bothering to think why and in Queen Banana for missing his Cataclysm because the targed moved! Also, while I know she was under a lot of stress as a hero and guardian, in Glaciator 2 she threw him in a trash can for making a stupid joke and never apologised and continued to act as if it was all his fault. In Hack-san, despite previously feeling betrayed and hurt that Cat Noir left Paris witbout telling her, she did the exact same thing and left another Ladybug holder in her place, despite also knowing that they've been tricked in the past by akumatized villains as false miraculous holders. While Ladybug responded that she doesn't know how she could trust him after he pulled his stunt in Miraculous New York, Cat Noir in Hack-San just told her she did the right thing. WTF?! She also stated that cataclysming without thinking is what ghe did best when she was trapped in shelter in "Protection", thought this may be due to him nearly cataclysming Darker Owl and Dark Humor. The icing on the cake was the end of the s5 finale, which ended with Adrien being kept in the dark by most of the people closest to him, except Nino. At one point, I thought that Felix will be Adriens confidant as Argos, but no. Both him and Kagami went to talk to Marinette and kept Adrien in the dark following the end of Monarch. I actually belive that all of Adrien's friends/the holders that came after him ladybug will come to know and at ladybug's urging will keep him in the dark, including Nino. Franlky, I'd want a spin-off for Adrien alone where he moves away from Paris and all the lies and makes his own group of friends separate from Marinette and Gabriel and the miraculous, while Marinette either becomes Bug Noir full time or gives the cat miraculous to another holder to unify. In the end he either reunites with a guilty Marinette whose willing to change or finds a new love. I also entertain the fanfiction ideea of Cerise kidnapping Adrien, revealing the whole truth to him and then doing something to his rings causing his personality to split between Cat Blanc and Cat Walker, but not in a good and bad way. Both personas to have qualities and defects and to balance each other out and both being neutral good. This has been a long time coming. 😂 Thank you to the ones that read through this rant. I personally believe (tough I don't know if it's true) that the memories accesed by the kwagatama may include the person's memories before they renounced or were separated from the miraculous for the final time; basically everything the real person remembers before permanently renouncing the miraculous. And since "good" ole' Gabe tehnically used the Ladybug miraculous to make his wish, Gabriel's memory self would include a literal lifetime of memories, including his final moments. Tough I don't know if this includes memory selves of users who don't have a kwagatama coresponding to the a miraculous; like I don't know if Mr. Bug or Scarabella have memory selves, but because they didn't have a kwagtama made by Tikki, not because they used the miraculous for a short time. For a brief time, I believed the Supreme is yet another evil Gabriel because of the voice heard when Shadybug Marinette's wish failed. Buuuutttt...does the X in the Supreme's symbol look like the butterfly miraculous or Gabriel's butterfly symbol all over his house to you? In any case, now I think he may be an evil Master Fu or Suhan or maybe an evil former guardian since his symbol seems to be an oppsite to the symbol of the Order. I personally would like for the Supreme to be another evil version of Marinette who shared Prime Marinette's history until the end of season 5 but ultimately went mad with grief after she somehow lost her Adrien after he found out the whole truth from Cerise (he either chose to run away and was never seen again, was killed by Cerise or even killed himself because he himself had an understanding mental/emotional breakdown) and was trying to find an ideal version of Adrien and take him for herself so they could rule together. And only Prime Adrien could defeat her by talking her down like Bug Noir did with Monarch in Re-creation. Also, I think a popular theory of the fandom is that Cerise was ambushed by the Supreme at the end of season 5, but after the reveal of the London Special, I think that was the power of the Rabbit miraculous used by someone at future point in the special. ALSO COME ON LONDON SPECIAL, WE'RE WAITING FOR MORE THAN A YEAR FOR MIRACULOUS CONTENT. I agree with the nonsensical reason for Chloe remaining a villain. I sincerely hope that they'll make har a hero or at least an anti-hero, since in Revolution she/the creators "finally" seemed to realise that she's hit rock bottom. I also found some fanfictions for Luka/Chloe and I realised I liked them! It gives Luka a new love interest besides the unavailable Marinette and it gives Chloe a person who's basically an emotional therapist and who never directly interacted with her so he's the only one who could try to really understand the Chloe that's buried deep inside the diva with delusions of grandeur. I also thought if/when the butterfly is finally recovered, Chloe could be the butterfly hero. It would kinda look like an irony for her "true love" to be Marinette's ex and miraculous to be the one that Ladybug fought to recover all those years. Adrien should ger his own spin-off. The normal adventues of Adrien. Maybe if Jeremy Zag creates it, since I thought Ghostforce was more balanced between the characters and the equality that's supposed to be Marinette and Adrien is represented in the Miraculous Movie.
They could use Cat Blanc as an "excuse" to not have a reveal even though they defeated the enemy (well technically he defeated them and then killed himself)
Television images have travelled over 70 years into space and in that sphere there is an Alien race that resembles Lobsters and lives partially underwater and has been watching Human Television for most a century then when they get Miraculous Season 4 & 5 In 70 years time they will also think it is stupidly written too.
I know people are upset Adrien isn't a MC but with how similar the plot is to Sailor Moon, I can see why he isn't one, Mamoru despite being Usagi's love interest is never a MC he's just a side character that happens to be the love interest/Usagi's future husband/father to her child, so if Thomas & Jeremy are taking inspo from Sailor Moon which I think they are, with the talking animal/creature who gives them their powers, them not knowing eachothers identity etc then I can see why Adrien isn't a MC, despite his name being on the title screen & him being the love interest
But we’re never told that Mamoru is Usagi’s equal. He’s her love interest and protector. And she doesn’t need him for that since she can protect herself and the sailor scouts can help. We’re told that Adrien is her equal
So Adrien is only useful for his ability to sire Emma, Louis and Hugo then ? Then he's expendable like a Male spider or he's just there to be a stay at home Husband so Marinette can run around in the spots to her hearts content (not the new Cat Noir replacement in the Movie sequel implying he's "replaceable too". He was just there for validation anyway especially in (late) season 4 & 5. They basically don't think he has a role anymore. Lila/Cerise/Iris is likely more of a main character now than he is. Heck I wouldn't even be surprised if we see a lot of Sabrina, Alix and Nathalie next season too for various reasons. heck if they don't show the aftermath of Sabrina's break up with Chloe I would be rather "irritated". But this show is this show so they are likely going to forget to explain everything in favour of showing Marinette trip over a few times. So they might not bother addressing Su Han & the Stone/Couffain/Rolling clan They might not bother addressing Zoes relationship with Andre and the Butler (and his daughter) Alya will continue to just be an Adrinette relationship update status dumping device. They may never really have Kagami dealing with finding out she's not a real human They likely won't show any serious consequence of that many Kwami being in the same room at the same time at school... Unless they make a joke out of it causing mass identity reveals - especially if Alix doesn't even bother hiding Fluff much.

Technically, the show's title is "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir". Most fans just call it Miraculous Ladybug based on the words to use the lucky charms. So I can understand some people saying Adrien is equal to Marinette. Having said that, I always considered it a 51/49 thing in favor of Marinette. Adrien is my favorite character, but Marinette outranks him.

This set of news just seemed to me to be a reminder to the fans that the show is bad; zoé is confirmed shallower than we thought, plotlines will probably be unnaturally shoved in (andre and Gabriel), austruc can't let his hate for Chole (and the need to remind us she's horrible) die and he can't treat adriemn as an equal to Marinette because of his weird relationship to her (I'm serious she's his self-projection in the form of an imaginary daughter). I don't mind marinette as the main character from a practical writing standpoint, I just hate thir uneven narrative importance.
It wasn't that long ago they also said Alya's only purpose in the show was to give relationship exposition about the status of the love square nothing else. Not to be Ladybug apprentice & certainly never to actually befriend Adrien (despite them actually being friend on instagram) and certainly not to be Ladybug's first officer either. Alya is so going to get sidelined by Penny & Luka I bet.

I expect the reason will be a bit thin though. I wouldn't mind at all if it gave us some Ladrien as a consequence.
@@adrienette4ever568 I think the argument to break them up is made by the incomplete nature of the adrinette relationship, that might be why they are trying to retcon Adrien to make excuses and undo the idea of Cat Noir being Adrien's more authentic self instead they are trying to re-write adrien. The sorry state of Ladynoir is a disgrace considering it is a lot of people's favourite ship and reason to watch the show, that they just plucked out of the show entirely.

You’d better preech! I absolutely hate the way he made her so much more evil just to get people to dislike her. That fact that people are actually falling for what he was doing is insane. And that plane scene is just him straight up torturing her. Also he tried to excuse the fact that her mother was terrible to her through what milene said about her mother. Anything the fans point out to defend chloe, he just tried to cover it up with scenes to make people hate her even more. I hope it’s true about what they said about him not being a part of season six. Also what he made her do, there’s no way anyone in Paris could forgive her so she couldn’t possibly redeem herself. It’s better she makes a new life for herself in New York

@@hazeclarke I always got that impression due to the way Marinette scribbled her number on her hand and also later we see the symbolism of Zoe eating a Pink Macaron and Marinette eating a Yellow one.
I suspect they were also hinting that Chloe still has an unacknowledged monster crush on Marinette and so that is as much as why she's so angry when looking through the telescope as she is angry with Zoe's betrayal.
Even if Chloe won't own up to her monster crush she still feels it. There is also some indications that once she abandons any relationship with Adrien that she isn't just annoyed about him she's really annoyed that Adrien is dating Marinette too.
Likewise how she was cruel to Nathaniel about when he was crushing on Marinette too. So there is this long running hint about that.. no idea if they will ever have her own up to it. I suspect that her deteriorating behaviour is partly due to her relationship collapsing with Ladybug too.
So yeah the production wants to say Chloe's dumb and selfish and shallow then they keep dropping a ton of hints to say she's anything but that simplistic. Trying to make her like that now is simply backpedalling her character and also applying some of Lila's behaviour to Chloe and removing some of Chloe's and slapping it down on Zoe instead.
Just imagine if the apple scene had been written for Chloe after she'd faught Hawkmoth off and willingly returned the Miraculous at the end of an alternative Miracle Queen.. or she'd never got akumatised at all or if she had she'd explained why she had to defend her parents & out of jealousy of Kagami.
Then you have the apple scene with Chloe instead.... and the end result is Chloe eventually gets the Bee Miraculous back under a secret identity.
That is what the seem to have undone in favour of moving everyone's role in the show around.
I fully expect Lila will get a redemption arc at this point. & if Felix can get one Lila's perfectly possible too.
One day someone will remake this show and Thomas won't be involved and I bet then Chloe will be seen in a different light.
What they do with Chloe sometimes happens with Spider-Mans's Flash Thompson too he sometimes gets no consideration either. (when he's in a very similar situation of hero-worshipping Spider--Man and being antagonistic to Peter)

Even though I doubt we are getting a redemption for her, I am happy Chloe is coming back. I just hope they do something interesting with her.
After Chloe was sent away and I realized the show still had some seasons left, I wondered what these writers would do to have more substance for their script since the "We need to make Chloe look bad" episodes took up a good chunk of the last three seasons. I roll my eyes now knowing they might immediately bring her back. Tomas still wants to have his petty revenge against his childhood bully and expecting that to change is a waste of time. If the movie gets a sequel, let's hope Chloe will get redemption there since Tomas hopefully won't be involved in it.

i think Thomas mentioned that while there wasnt enough funding for a spinoff based on the reverse characters, they would eventually return at some point. while he didnt explicitly say how, i'd assume he was implying during probably season 6, so, i think, the Supremes Backstory already being written could be referring to that? Perhaps there is a two part episode that sees the return of these characters, and reveals the supremes backstory and possibly seeing his defeat w both characters, w maybe our main characters going in2 the supreme universe?

4:07 nah, I'm pretty sure that they just want to shove that in our faces.. honestly Adrien should be the main character plot wise.. no shade to Marinette but his character Arc is much more interesting in my opinion and his father was literally the main villain and we didn't even get to see them fight, not even alongside Ladybug.. I hope that Adrien can get more screentime and development and different character arcs with Nino or Luka or anyone in season 6.. otherwise I'mma be disappointed, but tbh, I'm not counting on the fact that they will deliver.. they always try to make Marinette involved somehow even if certain things are more relevant to Adrien himself.. and that's what I don't like about the show.. hopefully they give Adrien the screentime he deserves.. Hopefully they can redeem Chloe successfully if they will do it.. and I can't wait to see more Nathalie.. and I also can't wait to see the backstories on Andre and Gabriel, and more so, the Supreme.. This means that hopefully we can see Shadybug and Claw Noir again soon..

I think part of the reason why they made Marinette the main character is BECAUSE Adrien’s backstory and character is a lot more mysterious and darker…it’s like a teaser, in a way. I love both Marinette and Adrien equally but in different ways- with Marinette I can relate to her and she’s goofy yet has to grow and learn who she is whereas with Adrien he’s the cool, exciting saucy love interest with a dark backstory and it’s fun how their Kwamis and color schemes reflect that. I definitely think we need more of him though…especially I hope they do more with his design (I actually wish they would have kept his green hair from the Reverse Special or give him green streaks like Marinette is supposed to be getting red streaks). If the show never ends then maybe we’ll see a lot more exciting things with him in the future 😼
in a show for children, he shouldn't be the lead, it would be too dark, but just as a general comment, yes, his arc is more interesting than hers

I kinda felt pretty negatively when they they had Adrien being emotionally abused and sexually objectified then they let Ladybug beat him up as he ruminated about why they kissed during Oblivio.
When I see someone physically flinch away in fear of a blow I know that person is the one in the weaker position and that is what happen Ladybug screams at him (again) and he flinches away in anticipation of a blow.. and so Cat Noir caries on taking it like a battered spouse.
Like I love the show… but just some of this is awful
Chloe is back 😳 I hope she actually contributes something interesting to the show or gets somewhat more depth in her story because her presence will but be stale and tired otherwise. They’ve established she’s a sociopathic bully and she got bad karma in her last appearance so I don’t see the point of her returning, but that’s just my opinion 🤷♀️

I really think they killed Instagram not because of the expense as because it showed up how much they'd retconned Chloe.. as does every single scrap of pre-production material about Chloe too.
It is so darn Obvious that the earlier "sweatervest" Chloe was nowhere near as antagonistic to Marinette, and was more a "rival" than an enemy. Which in a way is perhaps what should have done with Lila.
You know like in romcoms where there is the fake out second act romance plot - that is what Lila could be instead of just some crazy person with mommy issues.

It's called the False Bait Tactic. In season 2 thousands of fan wanted a redeem chloe, they knew that they could use it. They knew the fans would keep coming back. You too have fallen for the trap. Believe it or not Lila was suppose to be Miracule Queen, But chloe had more screen time so they change it to her.
This had the effect they wanted. Chloe redemption supporter kept flocking back. At the end of season 5 episode 23 we get a major status quo change not once but twice. 1 Marinette and adrien no longer change back however this was used to hide the real status quo change.
Remember we have seen Chloe truly cry before not the fakes one lila does. Maledickator. This episode shows chloe at an emotional breaking point. Same thing happen in the season 3 finale Chloe felt betrayed however that was the true start. And it all comes to ahead in season 5 episode 23. Where Marinette flat out tells chloe she has no power and is ridiculous utterly ridiculous. this moment shows that she knows she screwed up and Didn't she seem afraid of her mother? I think in season 6 we will see a broken chloe, and I believe she will be the perfect pray for the supreme.
She will never change because of how they have to sell the story and characters to the investors and they probably want the series as simple as possible. Therefore all the characters are almost always black and white
@@90lancaster exactly…that’s why I strongly prefer Movie Chloe…she and Marinette’s were more like sisters with an on and off sibling rivalry and I actually found their dynamic funny and sweet (and she felt more like a goofy Disney “mean girl” a la Sharpay from High School Musical, in a good way lol). I adore this show but I already find Season 6 a bit perplexing and it hasn’t even premiered yet. We’ll see what happens…

Heck I keep hearing that Ivan (of all people) is getting a significant plot going forwards that has some resonance to Adrien's previous situation and that they likely will ignore that resonance entirely just like they did when they ignored the synchronicity between Rose's Illness and the situation with Emelie's failing Health and then Nathelie's too.
I fully expect that the whole "Motherlessness situation" won't ever come up in conversation with Mylene or Alix either much if at all. Adrien just got made a double Orphan and all we see is him being all happy that he has a girlfriend now.

@@TinaJohnson-rr5ns That is a gross exaggeration by Thomas there & and what about Adrien completely ignoring Chloe his so called 'childhood friend' entirely within 2 days of arriving at school he didn't have anything to do with her for most of the show and acted like he was disgusted she even touched him.
A much better way to deal with that is to slowly have Chloe warm to Nino after bubbler & have Adrien be given the bee Miraculous to hand out which he then gives to Chloe (because balance). Instead of a show where Adrien is actively kept from even knowing there is a Guardian for many weeks after Marinette finds out about Fu.
They could easily have had Plagg be Plagg and make him meet Adrien as soon as he finds out Ladybug knows - but instead Plagg is just Adrien's pet cat and has no agency really unless the plot decides he has too.
Also not only did Adrien abandon Chloe's friendship inside 48 hours he also kept letting ladybug lie to him and also made no serious attempt to befriend anyone other than the people he sits next too.
That is especially odd in consideration of Alix, Juleka & Max I feel. He has reasons to interact with Sabrina too and never does. The young woman who dresses up as Cat Noir barely ever speaks to Cat Noir !

@@90lancaster Sure, I believe that these informations would be interesting for Marinette and the audience. I have my own theories about their backstory and would love to know writers ideas. But my problem is that Gabriel's arc is technically over :/. And even he was a decent villain with great motivation (although terribly mishandled by the show), I think that we are already past his prime and writers should be more focused on setting the stage for the new villain. We already should know all this stuff about him after FIVE seasons of him being the main villain!

Usually you’d want the main character to have the best character design out of everyone.
Shadylady's costume is very similar to the new ladybug costume so much so the only easy way to tell them apart at anything other than close up is the hair style and colour.
I hope they keep some of Emonette's Edge.. I think it would be hilarious if they put her in front of Kagami, Zoe or Chloe - not that they are likely too. & I don't expect they will let her keep any edge either she will likely just be similar to Season 4 Ladybug I.e. Marinette only a bit salty

So basically like Jess is going to show up again so will Emonette and Her Boyfriend Mr.A-ll the bad fashion choices in one-drien.
So I guess that Implies the Supreme will either stick to a single location in their own Universe or will be Universe jumping themselves.

Well, at least we're eventually getting somewhat of a backstory to the "friendship" between Gabriel and one of the many people he has a history with.
This is probably 5 seasons late but, hey, if they want to go with something of a walk down memory lane remembering the former bonds of a dead emotionally terrorizing mad man, then sure why not.
Let's see how much of a sane man he was once upon a time.
Regarding the Supreme, I feel like if the show gets a third villain arc, then the Supreme would probably be the best candidate with some insane merging of the two universes through one of Lila's actions which leads to the Supreme terrorizing both universes at once and trying to destroy more leading to the third Arc being an ultimate Miracuverse showdown.
In regards to Chloe, I feel like it's more that we'll get glimpses of how she's fairing living with her mother.
As for her being good not being in her nature, maybe it's implying that she can't be anything less than high maintenance and sass but not uncharacteristically cruel.
Either way, as long as her character just makes sense this time and not her being calm one minute and then suddenly hearing that she's secretly a serial killer and has been for months.
Can they also hopefully not make her seem so dumb at times like how she kept fumbling with the word 'Democracy' like it was foreign to her. Chloe may have not cared about certain current affairs but even she's not that oblivious to fail to pronounce a word that she probably easily pronounced in earlier seasons, so that's just an insult to her character.
*Also, if anyone's a possible young serial killer in this then that's definitely Lila*

It looked to me like Zoe was just happy to meet a friendly face as the first person she interacted with socially since arriving in Paris.
If anything, Zoe's crush was more apparent in her time as Kitty Noire and the ADORATION episode, so the earlier episodes just felt more like Zoe being happy to have a wonderful and caring friend before she could admit to herself that she had a crush on Marinette.
As for the akumas being majorly the ones responsible for their costumes,.........do you mean to tell me that Nino was responsible for himself looking like a toddler's bath toy in BUBBLER or that Marinette's grandfather had been responsible for that atrocious excuse of a costume in SIMPLEMAN?!?!?!?!!
No no no no no no NO!!! I REFUSE to believe that a civilian will manifest some of those crazy outfits without an outside influence at the helm.
I know the human mind is capable of surprises but this is ridiculous.
Gabriel|Hawkmoth|Monarch had to have had some influence in those designs, after all, he dresses up like a candy cane with a dollop of whipped cream for hair.
Now, with the first glimpse we got of the first akuma in season 6, I would be more inclined to believe that statement, but with Gabriel's case, NEVER.
Finally, in regards to Adrien's position as a character, it has been made painfully obvious time and again that he is clearly not on the same level as Marinette, but it feels like with the season 5 finale, the just reduced his presence to being more of a prop than a character especially with leaving him out of the final confrontation with Gabriel.
I mean if Marinette|Ladybug|BugNoire is still the one saving the day fine but at least let the boy air out his grievances.
Keeping him in the dark is setting him up for either a very bad mental breakdown or a temporary villain arc of joining Lila out of being manipulated by a false hope that his father and mother can be brought back and everything will be just peachy.
That being said, some of this information both surprised and didn't surprise me, while some of the information has me very concerned.
I only believe the akumatized costume thing because Adrien is for some reason obsessed with egg shaped heads and being bald😂 he chose that outfit when he was aspik and did it again in ephemeral
But also with they way it was worded can they possibly mean in season 6 Lila let’s them choose?

The more decisions they make, the more I tend to just want to walk away from the show. I got my hopes up for season 6 because they said it would focus on Adrien more. I truly hope he learns the truth but if something big doesn't develop for him in season 6 regarding this. I can't continually be strung along in hopes that they might get it right just once.
If they really want to annoy me they can have Bob Roth team up with Cash and be a recurring antagonist pair on all of their future shows.

@@hazeclarke What I found exasperating about it was they just automatically defaulted to the normal trope of one super hero of any duo being in charge and never two being equal partners - which we have never seen, and if their powers were REQUIRED to be in balance to work properly then they could have used it as a means to promote compromise, empathy and co-operation instead of randomly have Cat Noir end up as being Ladybugs shield with no opinions or contributions of his own - whilst trying to have it both ways that Adrien is a complete moron or smart as the whim takes them, they'd been treating him as a fool for so long when he started spouting things about horse breeding I was like.. "have you ever even seen a horse".
Maybe that is just them reinfocing the idea he's a disney princess by having him spout horse facts like he's a little girl.. where as Ladybug has now taken to punching people close up unlike previously & getting knocked around by akuma.. where as before they tried to avoid having her take hits.
The show is just really mixed or even out right contradictory in its messaging. Where Marinette will give a speech about Adrien free will to Gabriel and then continue to Boss Cat Noir around as Ladybug.
To often that makes Ladybug look like a "do as I say - not do as I do" kinda person.

However, the executive team has made sure that the writing team makes Ladybug the main star. I wish I knew more about television creation to understand what is happening behind the scenes.

Guess I'm excited for everything. I'm very interested to see not only the Supreme's story but tell me who he/she is! I've already two almost if not two novel length stories where Marinette and Adrien fight the Supreme. As for Adrien not be equal, that I why in my fanfics (at least my longer ones I switch back at forth between the two main characters). I really think he deserves more time as it called Ladybug and Cat Noir not just Ladybug. Sorry for the ramble!
It would be like watching Batman & Robin & then Robin barely shows up or contributes. Or in other words Adrien gets less consideration than a side kick would.

Gabe and Andre's backstory sounds interesting. Even if Gabe's no longer around. Maybe they'll have Andre remember his time with him. Or Cerise could use a kwagatama to speak with Gabriel's memory and have him reveal his backstory. OOOOH, since he tehnically was a Ladybug user too as Monarbug, I wonder if Marinette will use her kwagatama to speak to him.
I'm also excited about the Supreme's story: his origins, his motives, his identity...Everything! I like Miraculous songs so I'm looking forward to that new song too!
I also like that Nathalie will be developed in the future, hopefully in her relationship with Adrien in a mother-son way. I also hope Adrien will have more meaningful relationahips with other characters, like Felix, Amelie, Alya and Juleka.
I think the creators stated once before that the akumatized villains design their own costumes, an example being Nathaniel. But I think it's in a subconscious way, because I don't think anyone in their right mind would spend their time designing a villain costume for thenselves. :))
Now the stuff I don't like...
First Chloe...I've read fanfictions where she redeemed herself and I liked them!! In those stories she's still mean but in a superficial way and more for comedic effect! Unlike how Adrien described her nasty personality at the end of Guilttrip. How is it possible for fans to create a better version for a show's character than the show's own creator?!!!
I really hope that Chloe will change/be written in a positive way in season 6. Maybe as confidant to Adrien, maybe with Nino, since Marinette basically got all the others. :))
As for Adrien...there's basically everything. I have so many thoughts on how his story can be improved they're all tangled in each other. I'm not a show/movie producer/director/creator, heck I can barely use my phone to film a 2 good minute video. 😂 So I'm not stating that I could do better. BUT COME ON! EVEN I KNOW ADRIEN CAN BE SO MUCH MORE!
I don't mind the female being the main protagonist. I've watched shows or movies where the protagonist is female and I've enjoyed them very much. I also like Marintte as a character. But if you wanted a Marintte oriented show, then why make her part of a duo that's supposed to represent balance between the two oppsing forces that are the base for the laws of the universe!! Especially if you wanted her to have both powers and defeat the big bad alone in the end while Adrien is a Ken whom you said with a ❤ that he's not a main character in the way Marinette is, despite the Big Bad being his dad! In season 4, he was mostly controlled by his father in more ways than one, was left in the dark by his partner even in regards to the identities of the heroes Hawkmoth knew about and while she advanced in personal and miraculous growth, basically all season 4 showed about Adrien is that he can't play soccer and he ended things with Kagami on a worse note than Marinette did with Luka.
With every season, Adrien's been doungraded more and more! Even in season 1, Ladybug was more important since only she had the power to fix damage and purify akumas. Then se became the guardian's aprentice and got to pick wielders in seasons 2 and 3, became the guardian and relied more on Alya and holders whom Cat Noir doesn't know he knows without telling him squat and, just like it looked this might change in s5, the Last Day arrives. 🤦
Master Fu is mostly okay as a charcter, but his decision to leave Adrien in the dark was honestly a bad one. The only instance where he met with Adrien regarding miraculous teachings was in Syren, when Adrien threatened to quit, and I think he thought him more chinese than things about miraculouses. 😂 And yes Adrien may be reckless and not thinking things through, may give to much chances to the wrong people, and may let his emotions guide his actions, even admiting that he has emotional impulses that are hard to control in Glaciator 2, most likely because of the calm and colected persona he had to mantain with his emotionally abusive father . But that's also because he literally had zero people to teach him to control them, like how it was said at the end of Re-creation. I believe Fu could have helped him in that regard by just being there for him. Not to teach him miraculous stuff but just to offer advice about life and things like that. At over 100 years of age, he certainly has experence. Just like Fu was forced in the guardian life without any say, he left Adrien in the dark without saying anything to him, let alone explain his reasons. In the end, Fu is a good person and was a great mentor to Marinette, but not Adrien.
I also realise that Adrien's advice to Marinette regarding Liela was not ideal, but yeah let's not forget he's still new at all this social staff and his only friend before the series was Chloe. Marinette had her parents and she still had Master Fu, adults with life experiences that could've guided her. Marinette herself stated that Adrien was right in not confronting Liela directly.
Also, Adrien, like Marinette, has manny skills, but while Marinette's are shown manny times and the show added more to her list, like her building her chase as revealed in "Adoration" and being an excellent footbal player in "Penalteam", and having the physical and mental capacity to wear most Chinese Miraculouses, Adrien's skills are rarely seen. And while Marinette has no rival in fashin designing (not counting the older and more experienced Gabriel), Adrien has his rival Kagami, who is as good as or even better than him at fencing. Furthermore, despite Adrien being an excellent fencer and knowing Kung Fu, he couldn't defeat Lady Wifi alone as Cat Noir while both Nathalie and Felix held their own against her + Reflekta and Princess Fragrance. Also Alya as Scarabella defeated him in a few moments, despite Adrien's combat skills and her first time with the Ladybug yo-yo. 😑😑😑Also, Marinette evolves her powers and has bunch of different unifications with a bunch of different miraculouses.
I actually believe that Adrien might be holding back unconsciously, like how he normaly helds back from cataclysming living beings. Just look at how easily he overhelmed and took down Darker Owl and Dark Humor in "Jubilation" and "Derision"; i think its because he was to angry to hold back.
Despite Marinette's statement that Cat Noir is ireplaceable, she was quite mean to him on occasion. In Reflekdoll, instead of encouraging him like he did her in previous instances, she joked that her job wasn't as easy as it looked and resolved the lucky charm for him instead of letting him figure it out as the Ladybug user, she became annoyed with him in Rocketear for going to Alya to talk about any alleged feelings without bothering to think why and in Queen Banana for missing his Cataclysm because the targed moved! Also, while I know she was under a lot of stress as a hero and guardian, in Glaciator 2 she threw him in a trash can for making a stupid joke and never apologised and continued to act as if it was all his fault. In Hack-san, despite previously feeling betrayed and hurt that Cat Noir left Paris witbout telling her, she did the exact same thing and left another Ladybug holder in her place, despite also knowing that they've been tricked in the past by akumatized villains as false miraculous holders. While Ladybug responded that she doesn't know how she could trust him after he pulled his stunt in Miraculous New York, Cat Noir in Hack-San just told her she did the right thing. WTF?! She also stated that cataclysming without thinking is what ghe did best when she was trapped in shelter in "Protection", thought this may be due to him nearly cataclysming Darker Owl and Dark Humor.
The icing on the cake was the end of the s5 finale, which ended with Adrien being kept in the dark by most of the people closest to him, except Nino. At one point, I thought that Felix will be Adriens confidant as Argos, but no. Both him and Kagami went to talk to Marinette and kept Adrien in the dark following the end of Monarch. I actually belive that all of Adrien's friends/the holders that came after him ladybug will come to know and at ladybug's urging will keep him in the dark, including Nino.
Franlky, I'd want a spin-off for Adrien alone where he moves away from Paris and all the lies and makes his own group of friends separate from Marinette and Gabriel and the miraculous, while Marinette either becomes Bug Noir full time or gives the cat miraculous to another holder to unify. In the end he either reunites with a guilty Marinette whose willing to change or finds a new love.
I also entertain the fanfiction ideea of Cerise kidnapping Adrien, revealing the whole truth to him and then doing something to his rings causing his personality to split between Cat Blanc and Cat Walker, but not in a good and bad way. Both personas to have qualities and defects and to balance each other out and both being neutral good.

I personally believe (tough I don't know if it's true) that the memories accesed by the kwagatama may include the person's memories before they renounced or were separated from the miraculous for the final time; basically everything the real person remembers before permanently renouncing the miraculous. And since "good" ole' Gabe tehnically used the Ladybug miraculous to make his wish, Gabriel's memory self would include a literal lifetime of memories, including his final moments. Tough I don't know if this includes memory selves of users who don't have a kwagatama coresponding to the a miraculous; like I don't know if Mr. Bug or Scarabella have memory selves, but because they didn't have a kwagtama made by Tikki, not because they used the miraculous for a short time.
For a brief time, I believed the Supreme is yet another evil Gabriel because of the voice heard when Shadybug Marinette's wish failed. Buuuutttt...does the X in the Supreme's symbol look like the butterfly miraculous or Gabriel's butterfly symbol all over his house to you? In any case, now I think he may be an evil Master Fu or Suhan or maybe an evil former guardian since his symbol seems to be an oppsite to the symbol of the Order. I personally would like for the Supreme to be another evil version of Marinette who shared Prime Marinette's history until the end of season 5 but ultimately went mad with grief after she somehow lost her Adrien after he found out the whole truth from Cerise (he either chose to run away and was never seen again, was killed by Cerise or even killed himself because he himself had an understanding mental/emotional breakdown) and was trying to find an ideal version of Adrien and take him for herself so they could rule together. And only Prime Adrien could defeat her by talking her down like Bug Noir did with Monarch in Re-creation.
Also, I think a popular theory of the fandom is that Cerise was ambushed by the Supreme at the end of season 5, but after the reveal of the London Special, I think that was the power of the Rabbit miraculous used by someone at future point in the special. ALSO COME ON LONDON SPECIAL, WE'RE WAITING FOR MORE THAN A YEAR FOR MIRACULOUS CONTENT.
I agree with the nonsensical reason for Chloe remaining a villain. I sincerely hope that they'll make har a hero or at least an anti-hero, since in Revolution she/the creators "finally" seemed to realise that she's hit rock bottom. I also found some fanfictions for Luka/Chloe and I realised I liked them! It gives Luka a new love interest besides the unavailable Marinette and it gives Chloe a person who's basically an emotional therapist and who never directly interacted with her so he's the only one who could try to really understand the Chloe that's buried deep inside the diva with delusions of grandeur. I also thought if/when the butterfly is finally recovered, Chloe could be the butterfly hero. It would kinda look like an irony for her "true love" to be Marinette's ex and miraculous to be the one that Ladybug fought to recover all those years.
Adrien should ger his own spin-off. The normal adventues of Adrien. Maybe if Jeremy Zag creates it, since I thought Ghostforce was more balanced between the characters and the equality that's supposed to be Marinette and Adrien is represented in the Miraculous Movie.

I know people are upset Adrien isn't a MC but with how similar the plot is to Sailor Moon, I can see why he isn't one, Mamoru despite being Usagi's love interest is never a MC he's just a side character that happens to be the love interest/Usagi's future husband/father to her child, so if Thomas & Jeremy are taking inspo from Sailor Moon which I think they are, with the talking animal/creature who gives them their powers, them not knowing eachothers identity etc then I can see why Adrien isn't a MC, despite his name being on the title screen & him being the love interest
But we’re never told that Mamoru is Usagi’s equal. He’s her love interest and protector. And she doesn’t need him for that since she can protect herself and the sailor scouts can help. We’re told that Adrien is her equal
So Adrien is only useful for his ability to sire Emma, Louis and Hugo then ? Then he's expendable like a Male spider or he's just there to be a stay at home Husband so Marinette can run around in the spots to her hearts content (not the new Cat Noir replacement in the Movie sequel implying he's "replaceable too".
He was just there for validation anyway especially in (late) season 4 & 5. They basically don't think he has a role anymore. Lila/Cerise/Iris is likely more of a main character now than he is. Heck I wouldn't even be surprised if we see a lot of Sabrina, Alix and Nathalie next season too for various reasons.
heck if they don't show the aftermath of Sabrina's break up with Chloe I would be rather "irritated".
But this show is this show so they are likely going to forget to explain everything in favour of showing Marinette trip over a few times.
So they might not bother addressing Su Han & the Stone/Couffain/Rolling clan
They might not bother addressing Zoes relationship with Andre and the Butler (and his daughter)
Alya will continue to just be an Adrinette relationship update status dumping device.
They may never really have Kagami dealing with finding out she's not a real human
They likely won't show any serious consequence of that many Kwami being in the same room at the same time at school... Unless they make a joke out of it causing mass identity reveals - especially if Alix doesn't even bother hiding Fluff much.

Technically, the show's title is "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir". Most fans just call it Miraculous Ladybug based on the words to use the lucky charms. So I can understand some people saying Adrien is equal to Marinette. Having said that, I always considered it a 51/49 thing in favor of Marinette. Adrien is my favorite character, but Marinette outranks him.

This set of news just seemed to me to be a reminder to the fans that the show is bad; zoé is confirmed shallower than we thought, plotlines will probably be unnaturally shoved in (andre and Gabriel), austruc can't let his hate for Chole (and the need to remind us she's horrible) die and he can't treat adriemn as an equal to Marinette because of his weird relationship to her (I'm serious she's his self-projection in the form of an imaginary daughter). I don't mind marinette as the main character from a practical writing standpoint, I just hate thir uneven narrative importance.

@@adrienette4ever568 I think the argument to break them up is made by the incomplete nature of the adrinette relationship, that might be why they are trying to retcon Adrien to make excuses and undo the idea of Cat Noir being Adrien's more authentic self instead they are trying to re-write adrien.
The sorry state of Ladynoir is a disgrace considering it is a lot of people's favourite ship and reason to watch the show, that they just plucked out of the show entirely.
