Lecrae, you as a rapper, and that being your craft it makes sense to some extent that you would listen rappers of all kinds for the skill of rapping and musical composition. But would you say maybe a regular joe that's not a rapper or producer should probably not listen to rap about drugs and sex and violence all day long? It helps You hone your craft, but as a Christian maybe the average person should steer clear of filling their mind and spirit with that and just excusing it with "well I was just jamming out, I wasn't really listening to the words" Cuz what happens when the words are demonic, or a Wiccan ritual chant, or slander against God by a staunch atheist, would it still be OK to listen to just cuz you like the vibe? I think the words matter and if they're not in line with the Bible maybe it's actually the more Christian thing to do in staying away from that. Just some questions for deeper conversation and soul-searching. Keep doing your thing man

Really enjoying listening and learning about a world I’m completely oblivious to! I’m working with Amish out here and listening to lecrae talk about the hood… keeps it interesting for sure! 😅
@Lecrae, As a Christian and black man I say no to collabs with the ungodly. I just checked out Big Krit’s latest song and he definitely isn’t rapping something that edifies God or the body. You know what I was listening to? 36 Mafia, Project Pat, Skinny Pimp, Playa Fly, MJG & 8 Ball. My wife introduced me to Cross Movement, Da Truth, and Flame as I’m making my way back to Christ. Never looked back. Then I was hooked to Lecrae’s early stuff. I’m from the hood and streets. Grew up with the vice lords and moe’s. Sold weed, partied, fornicated, was on much wickedness. Music was a stronghold and it provoked me to do the actions I was doing. Listen to what goes into the music aimed at our communities. Killing of our own people, miss use of our women (fornicating and not marrying), selling and doing drugs, leaving our children without fathers because either they are on the run from the law, hopping from woman to woman, running the streets, trapping, feeding generational curses, etc. Notice at 28:44 what Zay says about that environment. We know trap, gangster rap is sinister. Then we complain that this mess is going on in our communities?! Then we blame white people?! Smh. Naw, we need to look into the mirror and own our stuff. CRT has been taught to us as reverse phycology mentality and we believe we are victims because it’s been prophesied over us in school and music. Is there racism? Of course, but that won’t be my filter or my five black sons’ filter or lense they see opportunities through. When we do right by The Most High, we are blessed. A systemic system can’t dictate that to us what level of success or achievement can be when we walk in righteousness. God gives us favor just like Joseph, Daniel, David. The Bible says faith comes by hearing, and hearing of the Word of God. What do you think the non faith words do? Evil commutation corrupts good manners the Bible says. Look what it did when Moses sent the spies out to inherit the promised land. Only two had a good report but the others sowed wicked words. And look at the results of that. All the adults couldn’t enter the promised land besides Caleb and Joshua because they had a good report and told everyone God was able to deliver the land into their hands. And we think this is a light thing? Something has to change and y’all two brothers have been given the responsibility to be that change on that side. I can’t go and speak to some of those brothers in those circles. But when I see my guys from the block, guess what I’m doing? Preaching the gospel to them because I want to see them in the Kingdom of God, not in hell or the lake of fire. If it’s a decision about who will like me or pay me, we have to choose God every time and trust he will take care of our needs no matter what. Some things get activated by faith. Example, when Abraham went to slay Isaac, immediately the angels said stop. Some things will not produce until the faith is activated, no questions asked. Many fail the test because they won’t activate the faith in obedience. The real issue is how you meet people and judge people for where they are in the process. We don’t beat them down or put them in a hell none of us have keys to, but we also call people to true repentance. If we never tell them they have a soul problem, they will never repent and turn to Jesus to save them from an eternity separated from God. Jesus’ message was so strong he aimed it towards those who were supposed to be holy, the Pharisees, Sadducees, etc. and sinners alike. We have to be true to God while not compromising to be people pleasers or walk in the fear of man. Someone told us the good news of the gospel right? I'm praying for zay that he won't conform and that when he is with these secular artists he can point them to Christ💯🙏🏽💪🏾 That's all that should matter.
Used to see Zaytoven every time I went to get a haircut from my barber who was cool with Zay. Zaytoven is super Uber down to earth. When he means the cars/material things don’t really phase him, he’s telling the truth. I was not shocked that he did music with Lecrae and 1K Phew and other sacred hip hop artists.
Zaytoven is telling truth when he worked with artists before they hit. I came to GA in ‘05 and used to get my haircut at the barbershop Zay worked at. Gucci hit it big with The State Vs. Radrick Davis and he continued to use Zaytoven. Even then, Zay would still stop by the barbershop with no security in sight. Real dude. Back then, every trap record had Zaytoven on it. He is the Godfather of Trap Music alongside T.I. And Gucci Mane.
When Zaytoven say the anointing was on the house that lets you know who was in control when the Lord want to do something can't nobody stop it, Lecrae I don't have a problem with Christian rappers working with circular artists long as they don't cross the line

If The Church Doesn't Need To Hear What You're Producing For Those Secular Artist, Then Why Do It In The First Place? Those Pastors Who Told You That You Don't Have To Explain Yourself Are Enablers And Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves.
There are a lot of opinions with no scripture facts. He stated Gucci Mane admired his character but he didn’t admire it enough to change his. The fact he is helping make music for the devil and so many people who claim to follow Christ think it’s okay is insane. We as a body have to be better with following Christ over culture. Lecrae said he was making “soul” music for rap you all better pay attention. If God used the world to get him to gospel why wouldn’t God say now leave it alone??? He keeps saying he is a “church boy” that’s not the same as a “Christ follower” I pray he has a true encounter with the Lord and he takes heed and repent. “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” II Corinthians 6:14 “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” Amos 3:3
Yeah. I hear Zay bcuz there’s a musician at Creflo Dollar’s church who also makes & produces secular & trap music. & he like that too. So, like Rocko said,”Gotta b in ya; can’t b on ya.”

Can't wait
Gotta level up with that 2nd installment for sure 🤐😂. Great conversation!
Bro used to be my barber. Just a really good, down-to-earth dude ✊🏾
This was a great interview!
Would have loved to hear his actual conversion story. I heard a lot of religious experience that he grew up with…
Facts. But we don't even know if that's even come yet
Crae said, "ooohh. You getting a Couple of dem"!
Lol
When Zaytoven say the anointing was on the house that lets you know who was in control when the Lord want to do something can't nobody stop it, Lecrae I don't have a problem with Christian rappers working with circular artists long as they don't cross the line
Zaytoven 🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽been hip to the faith man since Gucci movie
What Does The Worrd Say Bout Loving Two Masters..
@@Adrumer2 The Bible addresses the concept of serving two masters in Matthew 6:24, where Jesus says:
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
L at this moment you have caught my attention. Praying you make this a live zoom Q and A.
Loved this one. I've been a fan of you two for several years now. My favorite song from Let the Trap Say Amen is By Chance, followed closely by Can't Block It 🔥🙏
Aye yall need some snacks down there😂😂😂❤
If The Church Doesn't Need To Hear What You're Producing For Those Secular Artist, Then Why Do It In The First Place?
Those Pastors Who Told You That You Don't Have To Explain Yourself Are Enablers And Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves.
I agree!❤
And what communion has light with darkness?”
II Corinthians 6:14
“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?”
Amos 3:3
Yeah. I hear Zay bcuz there’s a musician at Creflo Dollar’s church who also makes & produces secular & trap music. & he like that too. So, like Rocko said,”Gotta b in ya; can’t b on ya.”
Enjoyed watching this , great convo
Edifying interview! Zay has a similar testimony to Thomas Dorsey with how Dorsey got on by working with Ma Rainey then moved on to what we know Dorsey for.
Zaytoven dont need no commercial !
I think he’s a man of God. I think he’s a real man. I love that for his family. Big love 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
This was 🔥... Please do an interview with Symbolyc One aka S1. One of the dopest producer as well.
Favorite episode! 😍
Gift come without repentance. Man seem talented no doubt. End of the day, music is dark, no light in it. Praying that he come bk to the light. Profit a man gain whole world n lose its soul!!
It’s that simple. We are all held to the same standard as followers of Christ… Praying for him. ❤
He has not strayed he lives a Christian life. He listens to Gospel music. He did not write the lyrics to any of the songs. It’s just like any other person working in the world the company’s yall work for are not Christian.
@prettimama0420 that not good example. Devil believe and tremble. Praying for him n others. Temptation of the world is serious. Music very strong spirit!!
@@philw9787 but he is strong in his faith never drank or smoked. The Lord blessed him. The Bible says the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous, this is the perfect example!
@@prettimama0420 he’s not making the lyrics but he is contributing in making songs that are in opposition to Christ. Some secular songs are neutral, most of his discography isn’t.
Zayyyy G Loves You

@@DOUBLEJOE850 YEAHHH
The creator of Zay 808🙏🏽🔥💯
I met him at Home Depot! So freaking nice and down to earth! He was with his daughter. I asked him for a picture and he said yes. He wrap his hand around my waist like most men do . He just crossed his hands in front of him. I respect that as a married woman, that’s an artist as well. I wish I could’ve rapped for him and got some beats 😂. But yeah. He was real nice!!
Lecrae REPENT WE LIVING IN THE DAYS , Your god is HIP HOP
Some artists sold their souls to Luficer just to get Fame and money when they signed to a Record Label
Crae sounded like Bill Cosby when he said "I got this jewelry fuh sale" 😅
