Can a Horror Reader be Converted into a Romance Reader? | Holiday Romance Reading Vlog + Travel Vlog

- I usually strictly read horror books, but in this vlog I do something different and SCARY (for me), and I read some romance for the FIRST TIME! In this vlog I read multiple holiday / Christmas romance books including Just Like Magic, In a Holidaze, and a third surprise book.
I also take you along with me as I travel to California on a mini-vacation! Plus I haul some Christmas decor too! Lots of fun.
Watch the vlog to see if I hated the romance or if I somehow loved it or if I just thought it was okay!

I am in the middle of watching, but had to come on and tell you this is awesome. I started getting a hankering for holiday romance around last week. I have only ever liked one actual romance novel so far. I think my reading slump and the holidays pushed me to check them out. I have a couple of yours on my want to read list. I picked up The Naughty or Nice Clause on NetGalley and am really enjoying it so far. Enemies to lovers, coworkers, that sort of thing. Also a spin on Santa. Such a light holiday read. Ok now back to the vlog. I must find out if another horror lover will end up liking romance as well. I feel like I crave some lighter reads around this time of year.
I would totally love to see if you would wind up enjoying romance too!
I am not a fan of romance at all but you have me very convinced to read just like magic! I feel like it’s a really great gateway book into the romance genre for predominately horror readers like ourselves!

Great vlog! Awesome jumping cat transitions! Fabulous mugs and other items! I’ll put some romance books on my list. I love romance movies, but I haven’t read any romance. Although the comics I read have tons of soap opery romance. Peter and Mary Jane etc. I’m enjoying the vid! 📘📙📚📚📚👍✨✨✨✨

Haha I asked my mom about A Highlander for Christmas - she did read it and said it was good, but she didn't remember much about it because she reads so much! She instantly forgets most books she reads 😂

This was so fun Kelsi! I’ve read a couple Christina Lauren books and liked them. It seems like contemporary romances are more your jam for sure. Kudos for stepping outside of your comfort zone!

Sounds like you will be more of a Rom Com or Chick Lit type romance reader. 😀 That is the cool thing about romance, there are aot of different kinds. I would actually probably like the Highlander one as Historical romance is my favorite lol. 😀

DAMN! You didn't like the Dead Zone? That's a surprise, although that story is kinda imbedded in my life so I don't have a clear head in terms of it haha. I have loved the movie for years and now Post-Stroke I live that Johnny Smith life (no psychic visions unfortunately).

I'm big into horror and romance. My mom use to read some and I said I would never but I ended up breaking down and now I have a few romance books. I don't think there is anything wrong with liking horror and romance IMO it's chocolate and peanut butter. Danielle Steel is really good and of course V.C. Andrews is some Gothic romance. I mostly write romance but with some paranormal elements that aren't slasher horror but still kind of creepy. Very nice vlog!!
