Excellent video, you have answered all questions regarding most successful EV so far in India and also EV in general. You have achieved 275KM range after driving mostly at 60-70KMPH. Had your speed been 90-100KMPH, the range would have reduced to 220-230KM. At high speed range of EVs fall sharply. I believe this EV is for travelling within the cities only. This is still not the highway vehicle for long distance. Lot of works to be done wrt range, pricing, charging network etc. to make EVs mainstream vehicle. You have shown cost of charging is only 793Rs for traveling 275KM. Now the question is whether this will be economically viable or not to put up charging station in this kind of revenue. Probably this is the reason why charging network is not developing fast in the country. Now if you increase charging cost say by 2times to make it viable it may not be as lucrative given its initial high cost. Lots of issues to be addressed wrt EVs. Only media publicity by Govt. will not yield result.
@Sayantan Sam this was a 30kw charger and it took him 4 hours to charge his car which was 793 rupees, at 20 rupees per kw so lets assume a profit of 13 rupees per kw to the owner and 7 rupees government charges for electricity. So 13*38.9=505.7 for 4 hours, per hour profit of 126.42 rupees. Tesla super chargers are 250kw. and it charges 68kw in 1 hour so that is 13*68= 884 rupees profit per hour per charger, assuming everyone owns an ev the demand for charges will be high and they will not stay empty. On highways its going to be more profitable then petrol pumps. If you have 10 super charges you earn 8840 rupees per hour. assuming you charge cars for 12 hours in a day you earn 106080 rupees, open 30 days in a month you earn 31.82 lakh rupees. you can pay the rent for space and supercharger emi costs easily. th-cam.com/video/5FWlFdLwV94/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=VegasModel3 No need for charging cost to be high.

Fantastic range test of nexon ex max ,i think 275 km in 100 percent baatery charge is real range of nexon ev cost 770 rupee, thnx gaadiwadi team for making highway test drive
So with proper regen and avg speed of 60-65 with AC it can go 340-360 km practically. So without AC and proper regen and avg speed of 55-60 it can be 370-400 km and it is practically possible. Very nice video. That is more than expected practical range. Thank you for this video.
Maximum 350 km u can get from it that too without AC & avg. speed 60-70 .. bcz India has tropical climate and most of the parts of the country are quite hot around most of the time say 9-10 months due to this hot conditions battery capacity and its output gets affected .
And this above said conditions are not practically possible as one can’t drive too long in scorching summers without AC also not one would drive at avg 60 speed keeping range in mind … 80 to 100 is the avg highway speed so consider a practical range of around 260 - 280 km that too if u drive smoothly & light footed … it’s no where near around the claim of 437
Infact this is the pretty awesome range test review of any Electric vehicle...and most important thing is...govt should set up more and more fast charging outlets...just like Fuel pumps outlets..then only this EV initiative will take rapid momentum and no doubt EV is far more cheap n economical than any...petrol or diesel ride..

jabardast, your dedication and effort is truly appreciated. 4 hrs waiting with family while car is getting charged on highway trip seems like a lot of trouble especially in heat. I do share Amit Ji's nervousness especially when family is with you and there is a jam awaiting you at dharuhera. Not to mention that if after coming to delhi you again need to search for a charger then it will go late in night. Battery swap tech is needed, this is not a suitable solution while on the long trips. EV in current form is suitable for charging at home/work and intra-city driving.

Thanks lot . This is great news , thanks to Tata , small issues come in any big change , all need to be positive , overall this transition from fossil to electric will help everyone
Excellent review guys, keep it up... After watching this video It's really easy to decide on a diesel or electric vehicle to buy... Also do a review about Tigor EV pls.
First of all its a great product from TATA. TATA has listened to most of the customer feedbacks. Some drawbacks and missing features. I hope TATA is listening 1. Headrest on both front seats is not comfortable. It's doesn't support the head. 2. Wireless Android and Carplay should have been default. 3. In the Back seat side handle we cannot the rest the hand properly. 4. The ventilated seat switch should have been in a better place. 5. Cup holder and one more charger should have been provided. 6. Back side AC blower should have control switch. These are minimal additions I think TATA can correct it.
Those missing features aren't even the relevant ones The middle console is lacking space despite having no gear or transmission.. The regen is all in buttons , lacking paddle controls Display has very limited information..they need to include more information like charging speed, camping mode, km generated from regen , kw consumed while accelerating, etc
If you can do same thing with "Hyundai Kona" upto that car's max limit. That will be more informative and useful to select better option according to budget and range.
But for that battery pack should be atleast 44kwh . And doing so will further increase the price by a lakh. In future if some different battery chemistry gets adopted widely then it would be great .
@@vofficial170 a price increase should be okay I guess.. As the current price is already in the upper bracket of car costs. Getting 350 real world range would do wonders. I myself am looking for those ranges.
@@pb12telecom but motor doesn't cost much as compared to battery packs . So even if you downgrade the motors then also price will just come down by 45-48k
CNG is even more economical at the moment even with increased prices. I drove my i10 sportz cng with AC from Delhi to Jaipur(2 stoppage in between). It gave me full 9.25kg cylinder mileage of 272kms @Rs 515
50kw wale chargers ka highway side pr hona bahut zaroori hai EVs ki sales ke liye. The app should clearly tell location & current status of chargers..kai baar aisa hota hai ki charger available hai lekin kharab pda hai. Koi nahi chahega ki 20-22lakh kharche karne k baad har samay ‘battery khatam ho jayegi’ wale darr me jiye. No matter how good an EV performs, range anxiety and lack of fast chargers will always discourage potential buyers. Anyway, great video as always!
No such issues. These people were doing a test. In real life, you can top up for 20 to 30 minutes on the way. There are dozens of chargers at restaurants on this route.
This video has cleared answered all the questions regarding range anxiety about Neon EV max. Well done team. But your entire drive has been in ideal speed 70-85 kmph. This speed is not used when you are travelling over 300 kms in a single day.As a avid traveler in ICE cars, I generally drive on highways at 100-120 kmph speed. I would love to know what would be the max range possible in sports mode for Nexon EV max. That’s the only part you have missed to answer in this video.
If you want to drive an EV at 100-120, better wait for another 2-3 years 😀 (More chargers then less worry), but this test clearly shows the effect of speed on range.
@@nagki I think Tata could have added a few more watts of battery support. Promising 350 km genuine driving range would have made this product super hit. BYD cars are managing to deliver 600 kms in India in similar price point. I have waited for Nexon for 4 yrs. Looks like i have to wait a little more...
@@amitbeloshe same here, but BYD is 29L for stated 500+km range Van and real world 430km. In that 29L may be charger alone is worth 4L, so lets take that as 25L car.For true better ranged cars you would need the born EV platforms and BYD blade batteries or solid state which weighs much less. Or you might have to wait for Curvv, small EVs sporting 300+ km real world will happen only with battery tech significantly improving.
@@amitbeloshe 600 km and same price range ? both wrong information. you can get the basic max nexon ev for 17.7 without subsidy. While ex showroom byd is 30 lakhs. Battery prices are at around 130 usd per kwh. ie 10000 Rs per kwh. So assuming another 10 kwh increase in battery size, price will increase by 100000.ie 1 lakh. For 40 kwh increase, price increases by 4 lakh rupees. So battery is 70 kwh , rest of 8 lakhs in increasing the bms, ac dc converter, car changes. So you make a more expensive car, entry level luxury car at 30 lakhs, and you can get same results as from byd. But then it goes out if range of upper middle class and caters to a very small segment of society.
I turned on the notification after watching your City Hybrid EV and subscribed after watching this video (After two videos). Just awesome work by your team. Can you do an Alto 800 review regarding mileage and compare it with other cars?
THANKYOU MUCH DUDE I WAS GOING TO BUY DIS CAR LOOKING AT THE RANGE 437 KM BUT TATA PROVED IT WRONG RARELY IT GOES ABOVE 300+ KM SO NOW I AM NOT GOING TO WASTE MY 20 LAKHS IN DIS CAR. WHY DER IS SO MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE ARAI RANGE AND THE ACTUAL RANGE.....

So, in City mode and 65-70 KMPL it gave the best range? I guess you could have given a summary in the end of both travel. Overall the video was very good and informative. Thanks
I think people are calculating range w.r.t. highway drives /long route journeys only which is not the case for everyone 1. Many people travel 50-100km daily for office commute, they can charge it at home at 1Rs per km cost which is excellent 2. even for Highways if you maintain 65-70speed(again not everyone drives on expressways) , leave early morning its easy to cover 300km as you won't use AC much 3. Many people like me take a break after every150 odd km or max 250 so charging during that break is possible 4. for full load this number will reduce but again when you travel with so many people stops are imminent and not all time one would travel with full load So IMO its quite useful for handful of people and of course a certain amount of planning and calculation during long travel will be needed Easily most practical review for the range
Awesome review Gaurav. A very late comment but better late than never. Jo aapko Jaipur se Delhi jaate hue better range mili uska 1 reason Delhi and jaipur ka elevation bhi ho sakta hai. Jaipur higher elevation pe hai and Delhi lower. So jaate hue motor pe load bhi thoda kam pada hoga I guess.
Most funny thing , every house is charging station but every house can never be petrol station .Do slow charging at home and enjoy , good for battery health also
Thank you for the review. One question what if u had 4 people in the car ??. Very rarely do we go that far alone.. we always do these trips with family or friends..
Boss see the future, after 1-2 years more chargers will be there and government & private companies are are planning to install these chargers every 50 KM.
for same price or even lower i can get my swift CNG car there from Delhi. second, i don't have to worry about the limited range or charge time for the vehicle. CNG is available in Jaipur for a little higher cost. 3rd i would not have any limited speed. 4th my AC will run at its full capacity till the empty tank. 5th my vehicle will not be ridiculously expensive. 6th if i end up running out of gas in my journey i will have a second fuel option. While with EVs you will be doomed and helpless . 7th it will be environment friendly as well and would not produce hazardous waste like batteries at the end of the life cycle. EV vehicles are useless at present....fast charging, range extension , better infrastructure and lower price could change things . At present Government should develop the infrastructure for CNG and make it cheaper.
There are people who buy 15 - 20 Lakh creta - seltos automatic for city use, for them Nexon EV Max give 3 times more performance and extra savings..This is the catch.. Just 50 km per day for 8 years can save Rs 13 lakhs in fuel cost.. Petrol is now closing to 120, within 8 years it will touch a higher figure.. Then this savings will be more, By 2030, there will be huge revolutions in EVs, you can have good quality batteries with more range, for replacement @ good price, but in that 2030 , can we drive the present petrol diesel cars ? fuel cost? pollution? let's see..
Considering the charging rate by fast charger, time consumed for charging, price of EV car, I can conclude for myself that I'm not going for electric car anytime in the near future. CNG car serves most of my criteria very easily (due to 10 year life of diesel car in delhi). And if I live outside of Delhi-NCR, then diesel will be the first of option.
With an average speed of about 70kpm on the highways, any ICE car will average 18-20kpl...till the charging infrastructure entirely in place, this can be a nightmare on highways.

Bhai ne review Dene k liye pura zor laga dia h good to see such hardwork for viewers Bhai
Excellent bro. You're efforts are awesome and more practical than any other channels
bhai amit ji ko dekh ke to mughe bhi anxiety ho rahi thi.... but A class video very good job bro... keep it up....
Best review ever....... Struggle is real❤️🙏
Itna attention se video dekhrahethe ki aisa lagatha hum bhi 544 kms safar karke aaya. Excellent one
And this above said conditions are not practically possible as one can’t drive too long in scorching summers without AC also not one would drive at avg 60 speed keeping range in mind … 80 to 100 is the avg highway speed so consider a practical range of around 260 - 280 km that too if u drive smoothly & light footed … it’s no where near around the claim of 437
@@anonymousbanda1147 437 is possible with tight restrictions.. I have seen zs ev range more than 500 km with proper driving
Wow great EV it's true, honest review
Tatas should quickly start faster charging network stations with app assistant. 70kw to 150kw
Gaurav ji , apki vidios bahut hi alag and exceptional hoti hai.
Koi professional channel waley itna mehnat nahi karte hai, unko bus timepass vidio banana aata hai.
Keep up the good , informative and to the point work.👏👌👍
jabardast, your dedication and effort is truly appreciated.
Why 4 hours? It takes about 30 minutes to charge.
watch the video, issues happened while charging.
Your video is impressive.
Thanks for detail information.
If you will give video about charging station information during route ,it will be helpful.
1st time best review on TH-cam... All questions answered cleared with proof
Excellent review, really appreciate your efforts and also on the genuine methods used to get the true picture of its performance.
this is how tata making people chu*iya. barely giving 65% battery range which they are claiming. somebody should file a legal case against entire company and get crores in compansation.
first time apki video dekhi.. bht acha kaam kiya apne..👍🏻😀
Excellent real life review about the range!
Hi Gaurav... Greatly informative...almost all positives and negatives covered
When foot is lifted from accelerator does rear brake light switches on or not in level 3 regeneration.
Thanks lot . This is great news , thanks to Tata , small issues come in any big change , all need to be positive , overall this transition from fossil to electric will help everyone
Excellent video about the live driving from Delhi to Jaipur and return with actual photos while driving. Keep it up.
Excellent review guys, keep it up... After watching this video It's really easy to decide on a diesel or electric vehicle to buy... Also do a review about Tigor EV pls.
बहुत mast review bilkul genuine
First of all its a great product from TATA. TATA has listened to most of the customer feedbacks.
Some drawbacks and missing features. I hope TATA is listening
Those missing features aren't even the relevant ones
The middle console is lacking space despite having no gear or transmission..
The regen is all in buttons , lacking paddle controls
Display has very limited information..they need to include more information like charging speed, camping mode, km generated from regen , kw consumed while accelerating, etc
The app issue is a major casual stroke by tata guys. This should be a non-issue TM! Good car, great review.
I think it can do 350km easily in city with level 3 regn mode
Yes it gives

Super sir ji thank you so much batane ke liye ab mein bhi Tata nexon hi lugaa
If you can do same thing with "Hyundai Kona" upto that car's max limit. That will be more informative and useful to select better option according to budget and range.
Best review, tons of effort are seen onnur part, best vlog
You are a legend man.
thank you true and valuble trip all the best to your channel.
Good attempt by Tata motors. 👍🏻
But mass market adoption will only happen when minimum range is at atleast 350 Km so that there is no range anxiety.
I myself am looking for those ranges.
most of the ppl buying this car already have a ic car at home. Very few will have this as a only car.
@@vofficial170 we dont need 100km in 9 sec we can do in 15ish sec we dont need motor more than 100 bhp
@@pb12telecom but motor doesn't cost much as compared to battery packs . So even if you downgrade the motors then also price will just come down by 45-48k
Bahot hi acha video sir ...👌👌👌Har petrol pump par changing station hona chahiye...
I will prefer it as a commuter car for daily use. In NCR EV can be very useful.
Good video, thanks for your efforts in bringing it to everyone.
CNG is even more economical at the moment even with increased prices. I drove my i10 sportz cng with AC from Delhi to Jaipur(2 stoppage in between). It gave me full 9.25kg cylinder mileage of 272kms @Rs 515

Thanks for LOVE LY HONEST REVIEW FOR THIS EV TATA NIXON
There should be charging station hub after every 150-200 km then on highway
Highly appreciate the true review. I have mentioned my thoughts in my reply to a gentleman.
Liked this honest review. Least antics. Most information

All information is useful 👍👍
This video has cleared answered all the questions regarding range anxiety about Neon EV max. Well done team. But your entire drive has been in ideal speed 70-85 kmph. This speed is not used when you are travelling over 300 kms in a single day.As a avid traveler in ICE cars, I generally drive on highways at 100-120 kmph speed. I would love to know what would be the max range possible in sports mode for Nexon EV max. That’s the only part you have missed to answer in this video.
It's like around 260 kms. As per other videos I have seen
But then it goes out if range of upper middle class and caters to a very small segment of society.
super video good all the best for your future

He said that he forgot to turn on eco. So, there is a chance that he would have got better in eco mode at speed of 60 to 70.
Thank you for your effort, the video is very much useful
please have a same review of mg zs ev of total range also thank youji
This is the best detailed video
I think people are calculating range w.r.t. highway drives /long route journeys only which is not the case for everyone
1. Many people travel 50-100km daily for office commute, they can charge it at home at 1Rs per km cost which is excellent
2. even for Highways if you maintain 65-70speed(again not everyone drives on expressways) , leave early morning its easy to cover 300km as you won't use AC much
3. Many people like me take a break after every150 odd km or max 250 so charging during that break is possible
4. for full load this number will reduce but again when you travel with so many people stops are imminent and not all time one would travel with full load
So IMO its quite useful for handful of people and of course a certain amount of planning and calculation during long travel will be needed
Easily most practical review for the range
🌟Practical........ Different From Regular Text Book Reviews👌
Don't spam people, it gives only 250km
Bhout acha video bante ho aap sir ji
I have not charged my EV from TATA Power but with other private chargers, this disconnection as told doesn't happen at all.
Awesome review Gaurav. A very late comment but better late than never. Jo aapko Jaipur se Delhi jaate hue better range mili uska 1 reason Delhi and jaipur ka elevation bhi ho sakta hai. Jaipur higher elevation pe hai and Delhi lower. So jaate hue motor pe load bhi thoda kam pada hoga I guess.
Most funny thing , every house is charging station but every house can never be petrol station .Do slow charging at home and enjoy , good for battery health also
The best EV range test video till now.
Thank you for the review. One question what if u had 4 people in the car ??. Very rarely do we go that far alone.. we always do these trips with family or friends..
Best video Best wishes for next video.!
So Max is not really MAX.. waiting for next iteration for actual range to be ~ 500km. Till then ICE it is
Boss see the future, after 1-2 years more chargers will be there and government & private companies are are planning to install these chargers every 50 KM.
Nice video and very informative.
Thanks for the range test.
phone connectivity while charging a car is not at all practical. charging stations should simply charge for the units consumed in charging
Itni mehnat k liye ek like to bnta h bhai. 👍
for same price or even lower i can get my swift CNG car there from Delhi.
second, i don't have to worry about the limited range or charge time for the vehicle.
Very true n practical comment..
Then this savings will be more, By 2030, there will be huge revolutions in EVs, you can have good quality batteries with more range, for replacement @ good price, but in that 2030 , can we drive the present petrol diesel cars ? fuel cost? pollution? let's see..
Most practical review hats off to you guys
Considering the charging rate by fast charger, time consumed for charging, price of EV car, I can conclude for myself that I'm not going for electric car anytime in the near future.
CNG car serves most of my criteria very easily (due to 10 year life of diesel car in delhi). And if I live outside of Delhi-NCR, then diesel will be the first of option.
Perfect video brother☑️
With an average speed of about 70kpm on the highways, any ICE car will average 18-20kpl...till the charging infrastructure entirely in place, this can be a nightmare on highways.
