The Hrud are interesting because as gross, destructive and parasitical they may be, they don’t seem to actually want to cause pain and destruction. It seems like their fringe existence is in some ways the result of a conscious attempt to minimize the perilous effect of their entropic nature on the outside world. If they really wanted to, they could do much more damage. Still, the fact that they seem to occasionally capture and enslave humans is a troubling counterpoint, although that may be uncommon.
Maybe, like many sapient species, the Hrud are not composed of a single faction but a multitude of differing or even conflicting ones.
Oculus: "This is a Hrud. This is how you kill them. No please, go kill them."

Seems like the best way to trap a Hrud is through Necron tech. Necrodermis lasts for ages, and Necrons have been known to trap shards of star gods in their labyrinths.
I think the Hrud could pose a pretty serious danger to the galaxy if the tyranids ever get a hold of them. What could the nids do with time based biological weapons?
Yeah, that seems like a nightmare scenario. While hrud as a species can probably keep hiding even in a galaxy completely overrun by tyranids, a few members ought to get discovered sooner or later and if norn-queen acts quckly that's all tyranids need to develop themselves similar abilities.
Assuming the Tyranids could actually consume them and not be time-wasted if they get close. But if anyone could manage it, it would be the Nids or the Orks.
I believe the technical term for that would be
"FUCK SHIT UP"
The tyranids are unlikely to utilize such a weapon. I mean, they might try, but they would soon conclude it wasn't worth it. Unleashing it would age and kill all nearby tyranid bioforms instantly and would degrade/destroy valuable biomatter in the area.
Unless....unless they figured out how to give an infiltrator, say, a Genestealer or Lictor, such a power, and tell it to suicide bomb vital targets like planetary void shield generators or senior officers. It could be quite the assassination and sabotage tool.
Very, creative, methods would be required for exterminatus. Nuclear weaponry, potent toxins, black holes, kite them into a warp rift and zip it up behind them. Drop a very big rock on them and run away?

A certain video analysis from a very verbose and some what "controversial"(supposedly) Vox caster is not the first time I have heard of the Yu'Vath. But it did rekindle the memories of them being mentioned.
The Yu'Vath are dead and the Calixis Sector is forever safe from their pernitious depredations thanks to the peerless heroism of the Angevin Crusade. Their memory need not be visited further. Rumors of their dread constructs persisting in the Koronus Expanse are but crass stories told by Rogue Traders to the gullible masses so they might exploit honest imperial men and women for their own petty gains. *And any rumors of the Tyrant Star are nothing more than heresy of the highest order. I am a huge science-fantasy fan...across all my video game, book, RPG, and tabletop TH-cam channesl, Oculus is among the best. I hope others agree and this channel blows up, especially in our current and, likely, shut-in future.
What happens when you take the stealth of Eshin, filth and decay-spreading abilities of Pestilens, warp technological abilities of Skryre and genetic manipulation of Moulder, dial them up to 12 and combine them in a single being? The Horned Rat would be pleased.... if it weren't for the little detail that they serve the same masters as his hated Slaan.

Xenobiology is as always fascinating. Viewing such revolting creatures truly give context to the greatness of humanity compared to these foul xenos. I bet they don’t even have an emperor blessed exploding appendix!

I see Oculus decided to take a break from edging heresy to do some simple dunking on filthy xenos after his chat with the Ordo Hereticus.

If I may make a minor request, good Magos: The visual parts of your most esteemed vidfeeds could be enhanced by means of more diverse depictions of the topics at hand. The persistant slow scrolling is highly soothing and NEVER to be left out, though :D
Noted! My issue in many cases is simple lack of art. The Hrud have three/four official depictions, and some fan art to supplement that, but it often leaves me in something of a bind!

So it's pretty obvious from older pictures and descriptions that the Hrud were supposed to be space skaven but hopefully going of the much more detailed autopsy picture we can hope that if GW were to ever make models or make solid fiction on them (very unlikely) they go with the much more interesting race in this case based off the autopsy.

Do the Hrud only push time forward? I remember in the book where the Iron Warriors fought them they caused a servitor to age backwards and the mechanical parts fell off but the human remaining was insane.
