Psychogenic pain; I think the medical field should have to provide mechanism of action for that before a patient should be expected to have understood/evidenced pain in order to be taken seriously. It must be difficult with addictive behavior causing lies and deception. Then there are the people in recovery who admit to addiction honestly -that add another wrinkle. Err on the side of mercy, I'd imagine.
