- cera is awesome to play and such a nice solo dino. we were looking for a proper fight and on this way we had many encounters. in between I got a little angry and might have overreacted, but, I ain't like selfish people. we also met a fair carno player and the ending shows quite well why I prefer the new stam a lot.

i love baby ceras so much, the 2 calls are my fav, but their charge bite is just so hilariously cute, its like they're throwing a taturum and trying to look fierce X"D

4:00, DAMN! You know you have a problem on your hands whenever you anger the nicest, friendliest, most polite people in any situation. All that ambient energy that was going towards being a cheerful and happy person just got converted into fury fueled by anger and directed by an incredibly strong moral compass. Good on, Mombie, you for letting that little rodent have it.

Finde es mega super wie du spielst, ich nehme dich immer als Vorbild wenn ich spiele, hab letztens auch als Krokodil einen Carno beschützt der von 5 Tenos gemobbt wurde und später einen Jungen Cerato der 2 Call machte und die Tenos auch aber die diesen dann angriffen war ich auch mega wütend!
War aber leider zu klein...
Der Cera hats geschafft, der Carno kriegte panik und lief weg, hoffe er hat überlebt....

I like that you let the stego live and gave him a chance to learn. I like to do that too. :D (Although it has led me to starve to death before XD ) Also it was cute when you gave the raptor with the broken leg a frog. That woulda made my day if I was the raptor. Great vid as always!

Honestly, i would of killed him, cause in evrima i never got someone letting me live, i either die out of starvation, either i die being outnumbered by some carnos or dilos. @@da.mombie
4:17 Tbf I'd probably try to eat the Herrera too, I only tolerate other species if they are way too small to be worth eating. If I'm an adult Cera a fresh spawn Herrera is way too small to be worth killing, but if I'm a fresh spawn too it would be a decent source of nutrition.
Also I starved to death way too many times because I decided to spare someone.
I wasn't mad that he killed it. he didn't know I 2called it before. but, the answer triggered me. I will copy past the reason from another comment:
no problem? first of all, a 2call is a 2call. no matter what species. so, to don't care about a 2call means you don't care about backstabbing. something I already hate. even more tho, this mate also didn't care about me. I said jeez, that means I am sad/worried about it. to say NP is like saying "I think like this and don't care how you think about it".
so, even if he was hating mixpacking. why should I care about how he feels about mixpacking if he doesn't care how I feel? makes no sense to me. well, after all I followed his logic. cera is cannibal, so, other ceras are food-wise like another species and a 2call doesn't matter.

That is usually why I don't try to approach and get in a pack with larger players if I'm playing as a cannibalistic animal, like if I'm playing Cera I'll only get close to other Ceras if I'm the bigger one, because even if they act friendly they can be trying to lure me closer or they might change their mind.

awesome that you show up here I was so curious how your stam level was. jeez, you didn't even get below the 60%? my whole plan was based on that good to know tho. no worry mate, I was just annoyed at first because you know there isn't much sunshine in the game right now. so, I had sunshine, heard the teno and was like, perfect, this will be good footage. then you showed up and I was like, jeez, that's no good footage. leave me, I don't want to waste sunshine.
but, after all it was good footage and therefore I am happy. even better, I also learned something. never chase a sub carno

yeah sorry, but, cera is really tough to nest with. I am not that guy who doesn't care about diet and just nest them with a bad diet, too. but, to keep good diet is tough

The arch at 6:03 reminds me so much of the arch on the beach on spyro, where the fresh water was. So many memories there Cera sounds so funny sped up hehe I appreciate you letting the stego live. At first when it started to hide its head in the rock I was annoyed... but then saw it was out of stam and felt a bit bad. Glad to see stego can't endlessly swing now though. Won't give them grace forever, but we can give them a little adjustment period
true, only the containers are missing somehow the west is dead tho. I never met people there, I never had a migration zone there and I also just spawned once or twice there I knew pretty soon that it was a new player. you just swing like that when you panic and you just panic vs a cera when you probably never reached adult before. so, when it turned to the wall I was like, come on, not that cheap. but, it immediately moved. I don't mind people using the surroundings to their advantage. like cliffs which prevent me from circling it. fair enough. as long as you don't stand still with your head in a rock it's all good in my opinion. this mate was scared and yet he kept moving. I respect that and honestly, I might have stuck my head in a rock if this would have been my first stego
it's easy to judge and have morals as soon as we are experienced. but, I still remember my first hours in this game. I didn't know what to do at all and often tried to escape through water. people hated me in chat. but, I didn't know that you can't get a corpse out of the water (in legacy). it was natural to me to use the water as escape route. later I noticed that this was a cheap exploit of the game and stopped doing it. but, as a new player in the isle, specially if you didn't watch videos before, you are lost
@@da.mombie I wish the west wasn't dead, but I think Gateway is just too big for how many players we can have There's big portions of the map that just don't get any action. The west, and very specifically the north west, seems just underdeveloped. There used to be a river in the northwest, but now there's just a pond it seems? So maybe they're undecided on how they want that region to be and thats why theres no migrations there. I hope they add some sort of river back, or maybe a series of ponds/lakes. I want crocs to be able to get out there and not be stuck.
Very right, the first few hours (and many more tbh) in this game are very confusing and disorienting, especially in Legacy. In envrima its worse in ways because theres so many new features compared to legacy, but the game doesn't explain them to you at all.
@@kiernanscanlon8965 I love gateway, but, it's designed for the ready game with many AI all over and much more dinos with different migration zones. by now it's just a lot of "wasted" areas. as far as I know many areas will still be redesigned as well. dondi was talking about a huge jungle area which could even replace one of the big buildings. so, there will for sure be a lot more changes. honestly, I don't even think this will be the final map. it's still such a long way till the final game. plenty of time to change their minds and create a completely new map

@@countryguy981 it's 8pm, not late at all to me oh, that's what you meant. nice I love that song. the lyrics are great, the message awesome, the rhythm fits to the theme and the voice of that dude is just amazing, too. one of those songs you can listen even in many years to come.
I remember the old times on update 4 : ( is was so cool, all updates we're of dinosaurs, new animations, new attacks and now is only stam, stam, less stam, stam debuff, camera debuff, steto debuff, everything debuff for the game being "more realistic, also, i love your videos mombie

I started my channel with update 3. there were 8 dinos in the game. about 3 months later update 4 with pachy as dino number 9 arrived. well, then it took more than a year until a new dino arrived. in between was update 5 and 5.5 without any dino. I think it was update 6? or even 6.5 when galli, beipi, troodon and cera arrived all together. or did you mean the time BEFORE update 4?
@da.mombie Yeah i mean update 4, thats when i started Playing evrima when pachy came out, i diedt Even know how to get diet XD, and yea, they took very long to add a new Dinosaur, and when they added it, the grafics we're too hight for My grafic card 😢, me and My Best friend really want to play together but i haven't getted new grafic card yet :/

that stego in the was a waste of meat in my opinion, this is a survival game after all, he need to take at least a painful experience to learn to survive as a dino as what you did to the stego, but not painful enough for me, dying is learning for me. I mean if it were me i will happily die in front of skilled cera like u because i learned something. If i were the stego and u left me like that i would have felt so disrespected as a player :D.

I totally respect your view. I also wouldn't like that everyone plays like me. jeez, that would be boring.
but, let me tell you a little story. in my first weeks playing this game, I was trying to raise a trike. it was back in legacy and it was very tough to solo raise a trike. I mean, really tough. I died countless times. often I already was sub adult and so careful with my gameplay. hiding all the time, drinking mostly at night and so on. almost everytime any bigger dino spotted me and killed me within seconds. it was nice (because I love a challenge) but also frustrating (which I also love because I am a weirdo). anyway, at some point I was hiding in a tree and a giga came by. his head came into the tree and I was like, jeez no, not again, where did you come from. srsly, I hate my life so much. but this mate 1called into my ear and moved on. it was such an unexpected and nice situation. I still remember how happy I was in this moment.
so, I don't want the game to be like that in general. like I said, it would be boring. but, I want to be the guy who gives you such moments in between all the cruelty of the isle. like that giga did to me little scared trike

It's a bit misleading to draw in people with the title containing "New Stam". There hasn't been an update in a while, and people are going to be thinking there was. Bad form - please don't go down the dark side, I like you :(
sry mate, wasn't my intention. my mind is very much like an actual player. like, everyone knows what I am talking about, because there was no update and so nobody expects that. I often forget that many people aren't always up to date and often even don't play for many weeks or months.
but, in general you never read a title like "I played *insert any game titel* and this is what happens" or "how I survived as solo *insert any dino species* " or "I played *insert any game titel* so you don't have to" nonsense. personally I hate such titles, the awful truth is tho, they work very well
so, of course I try to get attention as well. but, my videos always back up whatever is in the title. well, I didn't think some could misunderstood this one, which is my bad. but, the video shows why I think the new stam is better

7:30 i think they screwed with carno's hit box a lil, i had that same problem and the carno was able to four hit head shot me cus my charge bites didnt hit at that spot
the hitbox of many dinos is weird. but, the hitbox is a complicated thing. in addition to the actual hitbox, it also depends on how quickly the server processes and passes on data and, last but not least, on our connection to the server. people from South America told me they often play on EU servers. many people from Asia play on EU servers. the best hitbox (which it isn't) can't compensate for these delays. you need a regional server. counter strike had servers all over europe. the UK is way more far to my place than Germany. CS had server in Germany and I had a ping of 20-30. but, counter strike is a big game with a huge playerbase. if the isle would have as many server, then on each server would only be one player still, in terms of the actual hitbox and the server process part is still room for improvement, too

I am the same. I don't like to chat much I rather use the dinos calls to communicate. Chat breaks the immersion for me.
my problem is, I am a very bad at multitasking and also very slow in chat (typing). so, specially if there are many people in chat, then it totally breaks my immersion and while I chat I am not aware of any danger at all. on the other hand, during a boring night or while waiting till the eggs are ready and so on, I also enjoy the distraction of the chat

Taking On A Stego Has Been Quite The Challenge, But One Time Me And My Boi Killed 2 FG Stegos As Carnotaurus, Then Ceratosaurus, I Mean All I'm Sayin Is: You Just Need More Teeth.
to be fair, this mate was pretty new and made it quite easy for me. but, I am a huge fan of going for stegos. much more people should. specially the likes of cera and dilo have a good chance in my opinion. even more with the new stam. carno is quite stiff and probably the worst to go for a stego. so, respect you managed to kill one as carno

How do you track footsteps (the glowing blue things on the ground) im new and dont recall seeing them
you have to walk over white footsteps. then you tap Q to pick them up and make them blue. important is to tap and not hold like you normally do for scenting. as soon as they are blue, you have to hold scenting for some seconds, to make the radius bigger in which you will see the next footprints.

it was such a new player. I also appreciated that he wasn't a coward. yes, he was nearby the cliff, but, why wouldn't you. but, he could have just stuck his head in the wall and give me no chance at all anymore. so, no need to kill. I had the feeling of a victory anyway
well, to be honest. I little later I started to regret. this cera almost starved but, it's still alive. very bad diet, but alive

nope, the actual "new" stam. well, it isn't that new anymore. but, many people complain about the "new" stam and want the "old" back. which means the stam before gateway. the "new" stam was bad at the beginning, got further adapted and further adapted and meanwhile the new stam is better then the old in my opinion. but yeah, people already told me the title is misleading. was my bad :/

honestly, I don't care about mixpacking, I care about honor. I prefer a honorable mixpacker to everyone who 2calls and attacks then. mixpacking became such a cheap excuse for cowardly gameplay in the isle ^^
but, this situation wasn't about mixpacking or cowardly gameplay. it was about respect. if you disrespect me, then don't expect me to respect you. that simple
I don't like that you can't regain stam while standing. Everything else I like. I don't see any good reason you shouldn't be able to. Sure it makes you pay more attention to your stam, but you would still have to if you can gain it standing since it would still take awhile. Also, sometimes you can't help it. If a steg is fighting 4 or 5 ceras, what is it supposed to do? Not swing? It also takes the fear away. I liked it better when I would fight a steg and I was always unsure if it really was out of stam. Even if it hadn't swung in a while I knew it could have regained enough stam to swing one more time.
I wondered if you were gonna kill it. I could tell it was a new player and started feeling bad for it.
I like it the way it is right now. like till 60% you can trot and what is it? 25% you have to lay down? makes total sense to me and adds much more depth to the fights in my opinion. well, you still have the chance to fake it. you can let them bite a couple of times and then come up with your last swings. stego can take some hits anyway. but, now it's finally worth to bait swings. before you just had put your head in a rock for 30 seconds and you could swing 2-3 times again. you never were in danger of running out of stam, other than you were a very new player who panicked. of course we can still discuss about the limits. like below 10% to lay down or whatever. but, in general I love the new stam.
you also saw it with the carno. we can finally play trot games again
yeah, like you said, it started to feel bad. because it was such a new player and in my mind I had won that fight anyway. no need to kill that poor mate who probably didn't even reach the adult stage before

it never took 10 minutes. it takes about 5 minutes to refill stam if you are completely down and yes, that's still a thing and probably also won't change much anymore. but, you regain stam while trotting again as long as you aren't below 60% :)
@@da.mombie Ah cheers for answering was kinda into the idea of hopping back on but if that system is still there then no chance. On ptera it took just over 8 mins to get stam back and that was enough for me to leave the game. The devs really need to start testing every dino but I've been playing long enough to know that won't happen. Anyway still a fun vid to watch. Have a good'un.

in general I like the new stam tho. it's much better for most dinos in my opinion. but, a few have to be further adapted and ptera is for sure one of them.

no, it's PC only as long as it is in development. they said they might do a PS version as soon as it is ready, but, that will take some more years. at least two, probably even more like 3-5 years

also, a 2call is a 2call, no matter what species and I also hate backstabbers who 2call and then attack. so, if you don't care about a 2call, then you also don't care about backstabbing and therefore I don't care about you.

@@laurad258 I have my very own view on this game and about mixpacking. to me it's more about fair or unfair than mixpacking.
mixpacking became a very cheap excuse in the isle community to me. as example, I saw a video where someone played stego. he was about 5 meter away from a body. a ptera was landing at the body, 2called and started to eat. the stego ran over and killed it with the excuse, nah dude, no mixpacking with me. which is ridiculous. you didn't kill it for the noble sake of getting rid of a mixpacker, you killed it because you enjoy to kill a ptera out of nowhere.
so, to me it's about respect and behavior. a stego and carno fighting together? nope, that's unfair. but, if I nest with my stego and a carno comes by, 2calls and sits next to me to enjoy the cuteness of my babus for some minutes, then I don't care. if two ceras are coming by and want to hunt that carno, then I wouldn't protect it. that's unfair vs the ceras. but, as long as nobody esle gets a disadvantage, I don't mind. that's the reason why I like the officials and don't play on rule servers anymore.
that said, I know very well and respect that other people play differently. I normally spare babus, but I like that my babu gets hunted. so, I even welcome that other people enjoy this game in a different way. in fact, it's that mix which makes the isle so special to me. you have a good chance to find friendly mates, but, you can also get killed on sight anytime. to me that's the perfect mix.
I just don't like people who are like, I think this game should be played like this and so everyone MUST play it my way.

And your example of being a nesting stego and you wont protect the carno that sits next to you, seems very unfair to me, i would protect him because i dont kill him, so i have to protect him.

I totally get that you play differently. if you prefer not to trust and have a better gaming experience, then go for it. like I said, I respect and even welcome people to play in different ways
but, you see, even fairness can be very personal. to me it isn't fair to mixpack as carni and herb vs others. so, in my mind I tolerate the carno in the nesting situation, but I am not his friend or pack mate. so, if someone comes along, then I don't protect it, because to me this would be unfair gameplay.

EU4 is a official server with no rules, Cera is a cannibal and therefor Mombie had every right to kill the little Cera who killed his newfound friend. If you don't like that then watch the videos of gamers who play on servers that follow your rules.

it was a VERY new player and so I started to feel bad for him. also, a kill doesn't satisfy me, I enjoy the challenge of a fight. as soon as it was out of stam, there was no challenge anymore. but, I have to admit that I kind of regretted it later on, because this cera has a very bad diet meanwhile
