- Checked out the Neo Classic show in Manila, a fresh new show to hit the scene locally that brings the best and most authentic cars together under one roof. It was another great way to discover what the Philippines has to offer, an impressive array of unique builds and a vibrant car culture with a deep knowledge and appreciation for the cars we all know and love, showing nothing short of RWB Porsches, AE86s, GTRs Silvia’s and more!

Philippines used to have many JDMs imported and converted to LHD localy in freeport zones until the government clamped down on JDM used cars. Now most imported JDMs cars are kei cars like suzuki transformers and every wagons even Suzuki Hustlers are converted to LHDs
Thank you for the kind words Dino, and for showing the rest of the world our humble slice of car culture here in Manila.
Hope you can visit again soon!
G'day from Australia I'm travelling to manila 28th march. I'd like to checkout the car culture. Can you help?
The green RX7 looks so clean. It really goes well with green color. Awesome cars fosure.
Thank you! 🙌🏻
They love Porsche there, that show was ridiculously amazing. I love car culture, seeing the world view is uplifting.
I love your mix of just walking around and explaining the cars, as well as the cinematic interludes. These are amazing cars. And on a personal note - I love your glasses (style of glasses), what kind are these?
Great that you had an awesome time in my country yes we have an interesting car culture. Most of the people here drive mid size SUV and pick ups on the daily but we have roads that are small. Also we have a history of importing cars from Japan like old vans and trucks that is why the conversion from right hand to left hand has been perfected thru the years.
Fun fact most of the license plates in the early 2000 starts from the letter B indication it came from the port of Cagayan which is the port of cars came from and mostly coming from Japan.
LETS GO PHILIPPINES!! big thanks to Dino for the amazing coverage of Neo Classics and taking time to check out the car culture in our motherland. and thats not even it! wait till you see the racing scene, off roading / overland, motorcycles, and the local shops. car culture in the Philippines is really dope, and I’m so proud of my fellow car enthusiasts back home!
I'm travelling to manila end of this month! I'd love to check out the car culture. Can you assit?
What! A left hand drive R34 GTR, that's a first, you always seems to amaze me Dino, great video!
Yeah sadly our laws here don't allow RHD cars. Add insult to injury we cannot import any used car unless you live in the car's origin country and own it there for a year. the LHD converted JDM cars have replaced the dashboards and steering from it's USDM or Euro counterpart. If it's available we create our own dashboard and fabricate the steering components.
@@MamayMotoventures Makes me think of Paraguay, where it's also common to convert the steering side in order to make it street legal. However, used imports are allowed there.
If you see a JDM car that the Plate starts with B & Y, those were the last batches of JDM imports allowed here in the Philippines. After 2007 the government banned the importation of 2nd hand cars. Although some managed to sneak in JDM cars by using a local donor car counterpart. It’s just sad that only few skyline GTRs were imported here during the times when it was legal to import. And FYI, all of the EK hatchbacks that you saw during the show including the CRX are all JDM imports. Those cars were not locally released.
Correct me if i am wrong,
The regular skylines like the GTT Or GTST are more common than a GTR variant right?
Yes, those are common. But then only a few of those cars made it here in the Philippines which makes it also rare nowadays.
@@michaeldecastro7794 Yeah others turned into drift cars, trashed, and into a masterpiece. Hopefully 1 day, the port will open again. If such would happen, I wanna try my luck on a 240sx
It's a bummer I didn't get to see you,I arrived a bit late that day but it was definitely my first and the best car show I have attended. Thank you so much for the wonderful support and appreciation for Manila's Culture!
great great great video !! and the quality of thoses builds are wild !
Many cars sporting the "B" plate. Those were happy days indeed. You've got the cash, import them like crazy thru that port up north. Well it didnt last long.
Dino you bring top tier car content every time and always so entertaining the car culture and cars pure perfection 👌 and every car is flawless and attention to detail is incredible thanks for sharing this amazing content and as always keep up the great work 👍
Wow ure in my country now this is strange. I watched you in Japan for the longest time. Thanks for visiting here n showing the world n me the car culture here
30:59 love these OTJ jeeps 🔥😊
I love the SICK Porsche videos ..............the BEST !!
The red GT2 is likely a recreation, but the silver example might be authentic. The easiest exterior giveaway is the absence of a rear wiper/wiper housing in the glass with factory GT2s, whereas most donor 993s (including Turbos) have the rear wiper. Great video, and some truly insane cars per usual!
They've certainly succeeded in bringing together the country's best.
Sr videos are very helpful! I remember you vids at the yashio factory.
So you’ve finally seen a modified owner type jeeps out there with 4AGE 20V, 3S engine etc. Any thoughts on them? By the way nice Philippine car content Dino. Looking forward to see more.
Need to go back and take a ride!!
Thank you for taking us along 🙏🏽👍🏽
Keep up the good track selection Dino. Always enjoy the track selection. And super shout out to my fellow pinoys doing it big!
Dino, go try the street food Balut!! Its a heck of experiencec

Love the Mugen wheels on the K swapped CRX
Cover the OTJs. You'll be mind blown of these builds
The title of your video says it all..amazing!
I attended the neoclassic car show :)
hidden gem indeed. been to the Philippines twice as a kid and never saw cars like this!!
Importation of 2nd hand cars here was stopped because it has greatly affected the local market. It came to a point that there are more imports than cars sold by local manufacturers. Because Import cars are cheaper & more affordable. Common imports here are the Delicas, space gear, pajeros , townace, Emina, Hilux surfs, Lc80’s &70 prados. Used to be common on our streets. Jdm cars came late like the gtrs, rx7s,S15s & supras thats why we didn’t have that many of it. & porsches with license plate that starts with B are also late imports that entered thru a freeport in the northern part of the country.
Wow 😳
The 2 Porsche 993s that said 911 GT on the rear are actually both the 993 GT2 (if they are real)
Man those are some beautiful cars. 🏁
Where there are wealthy people, you will find expensive cars. It goes hand in hand. Glad to see car culture is alive and well on the other side of the world. The feds are doing everything they can to remove all our enjoyment and freedoms.
that crx "must be absolute bonkers to drive"

The philipines goes fuckin craaaaazy I love this shit. Snow camo jeep drift machine? Yessirrr. Mfs on street patrol killin it
Dino da GOAT
I had a 89 crx with a k 20 swap I got it at a storage unit auction the whole unit for 425$ when they let everyone take a quick peek you couldn't see it there was a bunch of old dressers in front and on top of it and boxes so nobody really wanted it but I seen the tail lights on the ground and I knew there was a car or car parts in there there was even a nice race seat and garret turbo and decent kit in the oh and nice momo wheel it wasn't bolted down but it was there I spent a few weekends and a little cash got it running and sold it for 8000$ in 2006 after taking it to the Blvd and trolled a few 5.0 mustangs and z28s
Thank you for sharing.
