☕🫖Can't wait for Jane Austen July! Great TBR Em! 📚 I'm looking forward to reading the Lex Croucher series and my new volume of Pride and Prejudice that I bought especially for the readthon! Happy Jane Austen July! ☕🫖
It's so nice to see everyone's Jane Austen plans! I am reading Emma this year. I would have reread Sense & Sensibility, but I will be reading Our Mutual Friend with the MegaDickens Readalong. Two 19th century books will be enough for one month!
Thanks for the video - looks as if you've got some great Jane Austen reading ideas all ready to go on July 1! Sorry I seem to have missed a few recent videos but the wife was rushed into hospital about 2 weeks ago and it was very scarily touch-and-go at one stage. I won't bore with the details but she's now been home for a week and things are looking a bit brighter, although she's likely going to have surgery to fit a pacemaker/defibrillator in the near future. Assuming things remain OK, I'm going to try 'Sense & Sensibility' in July - as long as i can get Thackeray's 'Vanity Fair' wrapped up by the end of June (I'm half-way through at moment, having made little progress over the last two weeks). Hope you have a great weekend - kind regards, Brian. Teacups incoming! ☕🍵
Thank you for reminding readers to spend time with Jane Austen's books. I think that they are all my favorite! My comment is too late for July, but for the future....the novel, Hamerston Hall by Jane Eastbourne, is a story that is somewhat similar to Jane Austen's novels. It is not a spin-off, but rather an entirely separate story that has a similar voice and takes place around 1815.
Lol yes - no longer the Bronte sisters you are now the Dashwoods 😉 I have only a few plans in July...maybe I will join you for Sense and Sensibility 🙊 it might be most agreeable 💜📚 You are doing g so fabulously 🫂💜🌤📚
So far I've read a biography by Jane Austen's distant relative about her life and living at Chawton, some of it was interesting, a lot not interesting to me I've re-read 'Persuasion' and watched 'Sense and Sensibility' on the BBC website as quite a few are on the iplayer.
Hiya Emily, have a great weekend thanks for the video as ever, happy reading 😊
