  • How beginners can effectively improve their karate kata techniqes ?
In this video, I'll show you some drills you can do at home to build a thorough karate foundation.
I recommend watching the bodywork "Tenshin" and "3 UKE" blocking videos previously mentioned.
If you want to practise at home or anywhere else to improve your karate kata, watch this.
The point is to practice a combination of body turning and defence to be able to react quickly to an opponent behind you.
If you can do this, your basic level of karate will certainly improve.

      Thanks for the compliment😂
      I'm very flattered☺️
Actually, I only entered most of my much in kumite.
Even kumite player can do cool kata if they don't neglect the basics of karate.
      Let's work hard together.
      Glad this method helped.
      My gi is Tokaido.
I bought it when I was preparing for my karate dan promotion examination.

Nice sensei,i am look forward for next video.Do you ever use Hojo Undo methodology(makiwara, nigiri game etc.)?

      Thanks for all your comments.
Does that refer to the ancient training of karate?
Hojo Undo means "supplementary (auxiliary) movement"
I was thinking of making a video about it just last month haha.
I've done a few training methods with weights on the end of sticks"Chisi", and a bit of winding straw"Makiwara".
But my karate is WKF, so most of my training was for those rules.
But I'd recommend this training because it's quite useful for understanding karate movements.

@@karatemask Yes i mean Okinawan karate conditioning drills(uechi-ryu,shorin ryu shidokan etc.)Ko Matsuhisa was my favorite karateka from WKF, could you teach us the scorpion kick??

You really like karate. I'm very happy for you.
You have a cool scorpion kick.
There was a time when I was in the same match as him when I was active in the game too.
It's so amazing to see his kumite up close in person rather than on video!
I used to attend the training sessions of a karate champion called George Kodaka, and I was very impressed with his physical balance when he kicked.
The key to the scorpion kick is the flexibility of the quads, but I 'm not up to his level of scorpion kicking, so if I make a video, don't hold your breath haha
