Brent, great point on the cadence sensor and high single speed gearing. As a former fixie rider, it is a single speed, not fixie...an electric fixie would be a death trap. Ride1up makes clean looking bikes, thanks for the overview. Cheers
hey again Electron Surfer! haha you’re exactly right. a true fixie would just constantly be “on” until it ran out of battery. Maybe... MAYBE a torque sensor would work but man it would be scary.
@@electrifiedreviews well actually with a good torque sensor with a quick response, it wouldnt be more scary than riding a regular ebike and you could get additionnal regen braking when you're trying to slow down. I hate cornering with the pedals that continue to spin too... that was just a test ride . but anyway I dont think a fixe ebike makes any sense. ebikes are about making your life easier, at the cost of having a not so direct connection with the bike. fixes are the exact opposite, your legs are directly connected to the pedals, chain, and wheels (if you take your feet of the pedal downhil, you are dead :-D) but its just much harder except if you are doing constant speed on a flat road/track single speed ebike like this one can make sense if it has a low enough top speed, and high enough torque to help you climb. otherwise its either your gearing is too high and you cant even climb anything steep, or you become a hamster at higher speeds, or you have to do just throttle

This an absolutely beautiful bike. The price is very low for what it is. Dual pivot brakes are made for road bikes and you get them on much more expensive bikes, too.
