- 夏や冬など、ゴリラ達が屋内で過ごす時間が多い季節は、ゲンキがモモタロウに積極的に何かをアピールする場面が増えます。
これはゲンタロウが部屋にいない時によく見られます。
みんなが外でオヤツを食べてる時などに、ゲンキが先に部屋に戻ってソワソワしながらモモタロウを待ってる事もよくあります。
During seasons such as summer and winter when the gorillas spend a lot of time indoors, Genki is more likely to actively appeal to Momotaro about something.
Genki often acts like this when Gentaro is not in the room.
So I think we'll see more scenes like this once Kintaro grows up a little more.

⭐️モモタロウ ♂(2000/7/3)
2000年に上野動物園で誕生。
母はモモコで父はビジュ。(ビジュはモモタロウが生まれる前に亡くなってます)
2010年に京都市動物園にやって来て、ゲンキとの間にゲンタロウとキンタロウという2人の息子が誕生。
モモタロウは父親と暮らした事がないので不器用なところもありますが、２児の父として頑張ってます。
⭐️ゲンキ ♀(1986/6/24)
ゲンキは京都市動物園で、父マックと母ヒロミの間に生まれました。
京太郎という兄もいましたが(人工哺育)、すでに亡くなってます。
ゲンキは10歳の時に繁殖のために上野動物園に移動しましたが、他の雌ゴリラ達との関係悪化などあり、ストレスで自傷行為までするようになったので再び京都市動物園に戻って来ました。
それから色んな雄との経験をつみ、モモタロウと出会いました。
モモタロウはゲンキが上野動物園時代に好きだったビジュの息子でもあります。
そしてモモタロウとの間に長男ゲンタロウ、次男キンタロウが誕生しました。
ゲンキはとても母性が強く、2人の息子にもたくさんの愛情を注いでいます。
⭐️ゲンタロウ ♂(2011/12/21)
モモタロウとゲンキの間に生まれた第1子。
ゲンキの母乳の出が悪く、生後数日で衰弱してたために人工哺育で育てられました。
約10ヶ月後に無事にゲンキと同居を再開し、現在は立派なゴリラとして成長中です。
人間の事も大好きで、飼育員さんと楽しそうに遊ぶ姿もたくさん見れました。
思春期で母ゲンキを困らせる事も多々ありますが、弟のキンタロウといつも遊んであげる良いお兄ちゃんでもあります。
⭐️キンタロウ ♂(2018/12/19)
モモタロウとゲンキの間に生まれた第2子。
赤ちゃんの頃は母ゲンキに1日中抱かれてる期間が長かったので、小さく細くで心配されたりもしましたが、今はそれが嘘みたいに逞しく成長。
自己主張が激しく、気が強い一面があり、父モモタロウに怒られてもケロッとしてたりする事もあります。
今では元気に1人で動き回ってますが、まだ母ゲンキに甘えています。

Momo has been approaching her for the past week or so, and every time she pulls away from him and runs from him. So she obviously doesn't want it to much. The fact that her estrus hasn't returned. She shouldn't want it at all.
It is the incredibly unintelligent silverback that is the problem 😅😂 and genki hasnt helped at all 😅😂lmao
@@KMichealElite. he is very intelligent. He is intelligent enough to know that she isn't in estrus, so mating with her would be pointless. You also have to understand that it is not normal for a silverback to have only one female, and she only goes into estrus about every 7 years. That's a long time for him to go without mating. Don't blame him, I'm sure he would much rather be in a group with several young females.
@@bigboytoyz541 even if he was in a group with more females it wouldnt matter, from what iv witnessed of momotaro he doesnt even know how to mate, hes incredibly unintelligent because of how often he has shown it to us, by attacking the other members for no apparent reason at all, constantly challenging gentaro and harrasing him . He monopolizes all the food , the others would not eat if the zoo didnt feed them separately which other zoo do not have to do... momotaro is not intelligent at all . I mean at all...
@@KMichealElite. I'm not sure what videos you are watching. Genki eats twice as much as momo. And every time momo has scolded one of them, there was always a reason, weather you see it or not. Momo has not been taunting gentaro, it has been the other way around. Gentaro has attacked momo twice in the past 6 months, that is why momo keeps an eye on him. That is the zoo's fault for leaving gentaro in the group for too long. But when it comes to mating, once genki's estrus came back after she had gentaro, momo didn't have any problem mating with her. But since she had kintaro, her estrus hasn't returned, so her body is not putting off any signs that it should. That's why you dont see them mating. And they won't mate until her estrus returns, if it ever returns. Not too mention this is the 3rd silverback that genki has been with and the other two both lost interest in her.
Genki is so beautiful. This is such a wonderful family. All 3 boys so handsome.

Gorilla no need clue, it's all about hormon and mostly experience female.
He knows what he is doing. You have to realize that her estrus still hasn't returned yet. Momo can tell when she is in heat, by her smell and other signs that her body puts off. The better question is why is she running around trying to hump everything in sight, when she isn't in estrus.

This is incredible, because this is showing a mentally and emotionally unstable female gorilla coming up with her own never seen before "routine " to get momotaros attention because neither of them wanted eachother as a mate and clearly showed us that in the beginning. I love seeing Prince Kintaro hugging his mom. Wouldn't it be awesome of Genki got pregnant with a female this time. It would be great if she had another kid, before and just in case the zoo is planning on taking Gentaro away from his family. Não existe a possibilidade de deixar essa família em uma reserva florestal onde eles possam ser livres? Me sinto triste em ver toda essa família confinada em um recinto mesmo sabendo que são bem tratados,alimentados e amados por todos que cuidam deles. Não é crítica mas uma sugestão.
Eles nasceram e cresceram assim nesse ambiente ,mas poderiam melhorar colocando mais plantas,,se colocassem eles com outros gorilas capaz de brigarem ,acontecer alguma coisa, essas reservas normalmente tem no conko,em lugares da África,Gorilas estão em extinção devido a caça .

I might be wrong, but I have the impression that these rituals are not about mating. As I've seen Genki initiates them when she gets more anxious about Gentaro's behaviour. It seems to me these "pseudo-mounting" are a kind of reassurance on Momo's behalf, as if he was saying "don't worry, I take care of you and protect you". (And he really protects Genki mama when Gentaro goes banana.) I don't think he doesn't know how to mate "properly", he knows very well, but this isn't about reproduction. And this is why he does it to Kintaro as well, not to discipline him and to exercise his dominance, but to show him benevolence and to reassure him about future protection. I don't say there's nothing sexual in this behaviour, I think they really love each other, but it's a mistake to suppose that sexual interactions are always about reproduction among animals.

@@nicolefournel-hartery8187 unfortunately it took her about 6 1/2 years after gentaro was born for her estrus to return. They gave her hormones and everything, but nothing helped. So it will probably be another year or so before it comes back. But at her age, it might not come back. But that would be for the best, I don't think she is healthy enough to have another baby. It would be the same as a woman in her 70s having a baby.
