Use of zeolite is already well known to everyone. Even some engineers have been trying to produce oxygen generators that can be built by common people themselves. But the fact that zeolite is not readily available, makes the problem still a tough one. Alternates for zeolites should be found.

Excellent - hope this was duly implemented and patients needing oxygen benefitted ! Such combo efforts by industry and institution are an effective short cut to meeting SOS requirements of masses currently desperate for help ! 👌👌🙏🙏🌷
This looks like a simple and effective solution to the current crisis. Instead of setting new plants from scratch or focussing on concentrators, Government of India should supply the O2 sieves of Zeolite for free to nitrogen plants and mandate they switch over to O2 production atleast part of their production capacity. Before COVID we didn't have shortages and I am sure we won't need large capacity of O2 supplies after COVID ends, so large investment in plants could mean dead investments. This is quick so serves need of hour
Good idea for oxygen self reliance but irrelevant to the current problem. Oxygen shortage is not the issue, oxygen logistics is. Plus there is shortage of storage tanks, another hurdle.
2:00 As you mentioned that only N2 and O2 are collected after the filtration and O2 is allowed to escape to the atmosphere and N2 is collected. Here can we directly collect the O2 from the outlet pipe ( which is meant for it to escape to the atmosphere )
What is meant to be exhausted, its proportion is very less as compared to what its meant to produce hence not feasible... hence by changing the Molecular Sieves O2 can be achieved, hope that answers your doubts... We too are working on the same...
