- We had ONE thing on our minds when getting our car back from Palm Beach Dyno with the Whipple, HOW FAST WILL IT DRAGY!? We start on the 3.75 upper pulley on octane booster - and end up on the 3.5 upper pulley with Race Gas! We suspect the car is making approximately 850RWHP! It is very fast, stay tuned as we make it faster though!

You've built a beautiful S650 Whipple Mustang GTs. Big fan of Palm Beach Dyno. Maybe check with Steeda or lethal regarding their S650 suspension setup to help reduce your S650 beast from spinning. It appears to be a handful. Good luck moving forward.

Nice video thank you for your time making it. You have super long gears. That that MT 82 paired with 3.55 in non pp cars is crazy. Or does your have 3.33? I have 3.73 with the tremec and they are very short.
Yessir it's insane, 3.55 Gear with the D4 trans and a 28 inch tire. Very long gears
373 isn't really optimal at all with 18 and up mt82s they're geared way longer. 11-17 different story. With boost 373 might be ok but it's still fairly long geared for the Trans.
S650 is amazing. I’ve test drove two s650 and the stock raw power is amazing. Feels good sounds good stays planted and it’s just goes. Head turns everywhere I went. I trade my ‘14 Gen 1 for s650 in heart bit. but I’m poor Gen 1 peasant 😆 great video tho. 👍

Nobody doubts these cars can be fast. The issue with them is it really isnt an upgrade over previous mustangs performance wise if anything its a step back because of the tuning situation. Even if it DID have tuning i honestly dont think its much improvement over the previous 5.0s. When people say theyre disappointing they dont mean it isnt fast theyre just comparing it to the previous car. The s550 was alot faster than s197 5.0s when both boosted they could hold alot more power. It was an actual improvement and advancement like most all new mustangs have been. This one is a side step at best and the tuning makes it a step back honestly.
It's situational IMO. I have owned more boosted 2015+ Mustangs than anyone I'd wager, so I don't just speak from internet material. For those wanting built engines and transmissions and to heads up race, and impress (try) all the world...I agree, back step. For those who simply want a new car with a good amount of power, great drivability and new technology, its a win. The issue is that people are changing their extremely aggressive opinions and stance as time passes and more great results come to light. Now we got these things in the mid 9s at 4200lbs, not even using E85 and not aftermarket tuned. They'll be in the 8s soon. What more do YOU want? Is your car that fast? If the answer is no, then......

are you thinking of getting a driveshaft and axles? how are air intake temps with the wipple?
Yes, most likely will need to overall the entire driveline before taking this car to the drag strip. That's the primary benefit to the A10, and downfall to the MT82D4 transmission.

The GT500 is better in every way. Of course. Fun factor goes to the GT though, manual trans cars are always fun!

It's a manual transmission.
I would say from my experience drop tire PSI to 17 try that first but I am also on ET Street SS but I hook in 3rd gear 6r80 boosted car here. But anything under 3rd gear my car doesn't like even like or the tires spin so I avoid 2nd gear pulls I also have 3.55 gears. I have 2.3 ported blower smallest pulley so I am around 850whp. But I will say Dropping tire pressure helps hook specially if you are anything over 20psi. If you do change the tires I know everyone at my shop I go to uses Mickey Thompsons Et Street R's and they are well over 1000 whp and they hook with those too.

What made you go with the pyp’s longtube headers is the quality has good SW or Kook’s. I’am tempting buying a set, how does it fit no rubbing or touching. On my 2017 GT is the AC tube i’am worry, did you have a 2017 GT once what brand did had on. Killer time on the street at the track it would fly.👍💪🇨🇦😎
Great question. The answer is, I've used Pypes on cars in the past with no issues. When we got them for this car, we knew we were experimenting as no one had done LT on the 24s yet. So naturally, I wanted to spend less for something that I may have needed to modify. Welp, I was right. We had to chop up the driver side header flange and reweld it to make them fit.

I had Hoosier DBR's on 15's on my S197, and they did not work for me at all.

Is it tuned? My c7z makes only 660whp on a manual transmission and I consistently get 6.75-6.85. Either I have a good ass tuner or my car is quick, or this thing isn't performing like 850whp? Nice car nonetheless!

Brother as someone that had a 2019 c7 stingray and now has a 22 mach 1, your car is a solid 450-500lbs lighter than an s650.

It means you shift without lifting off the gas otherwise known as a power shift. These new cars have spark cut on shifts as a "no lift shift" feature I prefer the older cars with no wot box it's all on you as a driver.

It's fast but for what it is considering how fast 2018 mustangs were going 6 years ago and the lack of tuning that is why they're called duds.

The TR3160 is weaker than the MT82. Doesnt support as much tq stock. TR6060 upgrade or A10 are the best options.
If I knew I was going to take the Whipplw path, I'd have most likely gotten the Darkhorse. I do have a Calimer built transmission for the car already, though. Just waiting for a new clutch to come.
This has a MT82 not the TR3160 and it’s actually not weaker than the MT82. Where are you getting your information from?

Doesn’t have stock cats.😂 Has a Whipple tune which many are running. Has an Injectors, boost-a-pump and Octane booster. Car is setup just fine. When tuning becomes available, he can do a return style fuel system and pulley down.

Car gained 200 lbs from 23-24 alone. Now with this kit on it, close to if not heavier than GT500.
