Congrats on 750+ subs my friend, well done! 🤩 I agree with you about aluminum scales, they can be a wee bit slippery and not great on a "work knife"; I prefer either some good jimping /texturing or use a different material like g10 or micarta which are naturally more grippy. 👍Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
Always liked a sodbuster pattern, but this is not a good representation of the pattern. Too slippery for Slippy. Thanks for providing the closer look at this one, Slippy.
Thanks Slippy for introducing this great looking knife, I am a big fan of the Sodbuster pattern, since watching your video I have sourced one out for next months purchase👍 Congratulations on reaching the great landmark of 750 subscribers 👏👏👍 very quickly. I do watch a lot of your videos as we seem to like the same patterns of knives. Thanks again Sam
The aluminum almost looks painted or coated not anodized . 750!!! well Done . I seen the Bear n Son with the bearclaws on the white bone Think ill pick it up next time i go.
Awesome Knife Thank you for sharing this with us. This is a beautiful knife and yet I’ve heard of bear & sons I never knew they are a USA made company THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING US THIS AWESOME BLADE that’s cool the little pocket clip it’s funny because when you showed the pocket clip looked like a face looking at me the screws are the eyes the clip is the mouth and nose lol 😂
Looks like a decent knife, shame they couldn’t put some kind of basic milling for grip on the handles. Great video Slippy 😁 (Congrats on the 750 subs!! Late to the party with this one playing catch-up on videos 🤣😁)
Great video, on the Bear & Son's website it lists the steel as "440 Stainless Steel" for the lockback version so I'd imagine they use the same for this version?
Good knives for 25. My first bear and son was the large farmhand lockback in carbon steel. The alum scales make the knive very light. But yes not much grip. And the pocket clip sucks. I going to removed mine. Dont see them for sale anymore. Only SS. I agree very sharp!
'Gratz on the subs ! Nice enough looking little knife, but I don't see the point of pocket clips on knives of that type tbh. If I was going to use it, that clip would come straight off. Btw, I always work on the principle thati if it just says ' Stainless Steel ' it's probably 420j2 or 440A or similar. If were 440c or similar they seem to like to brag about it lol.
This checks all the boxes for a work knife . I would remove the clip too. I pull all my pocket clips off . You will only drag a clip down the side of your wifes brand new car one time . That was a rough day . 😢.
go on son , congrats , nice review , well cheep , do not like the clip though dont think they work on a trad , thats just my opinion others are available , keep up the good work t t f n , p
Fine little pocket drop!thank you sir👍🏻👍🏻🤠🤠

Thanks Mike 🙏🏼🫡
A nice modern take on the soddy. Congrats on the subs!! I'll play for Sussex plz
Thanks Randy 🫡
I like that style work knife, and I like B&S knives. I could live without the pocket clip too. Congratulations on 750 subs. That's very cool!👍👍
Thank you 🙏🏼🫡
Hey Matt thanks for turning me (us) on to this knife. I’m liking what I see. Think I’ll get one. Great day to ya sir!!
Awesome Mike 🙏🏼🫡

Very kind of you Sir 🫡
Congrats on 750 buddy! Nice look at the Farmhand as well, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jake 🙏🏼
I would have to agree Slippy the clip is very tight, very smooth and I find the overall design a little slim. Cheers
Thanks Mark 🙏🏼🫡

Definitely too slippy for Slippy, a shame as it could be a good knife with a more grippy handle 🫡 thanks John

I've completely fallen out of love with aluminium handles and scales recently, much prefer G10 or micarta.
Same here Mikey! It's not grippy enough 🙏🏼
Great video, on the Bear & Son's website it lists the steel as "440 Stainless Steel" for the lockback version so I'd imagine they use the same for this version?
Thanks for the info!
Congratulations on your subscribers moving up 🆙 hopefully my subscribers count will climb like yours.
You can do it! 🙏🏼🫡

Sorry to go off topic Slippy, did you notice the front page of the Mirror today?
I have indeed, doesn't look good ☹️
Not bad for a modern sodbuster, i would remove the clip though. Congratulations on the 750 Matt.
Thank you Jeroen

Agreed the clip needs to go!
I’d guess the steel is likely to be a 420 as I believe 7cr is a Chinese steel. I like Sodbusters but I’m not keen on the painted aluminium covers.
You could be right on that, they are just a bit too slippy for a work knife 🙏🏼🫡

Shame about the aluminium scales and that weird pocket clip. Otherwise looked OK😂
I know, was too 'slippy' for me 👀
Thought this was a box review for a minute 🤣
😅😅
