That's the difference between classic stuff and chart bull**** - you can listen to it for 20 years, while crap just lasts for a couple months.
This was the first hip hop album that i fall love with! I used to listen to it whithout even grasping one word, but now i realised that was the feeling and lot thing that only the poetry can explain. One of the greathest mc will always be Nasir.
Nas my favorite to ever do it. I bought all his albums, even The Lost Tapes and Greatest Hits. I love Illmatic but besides Nastradamus, thats my second least listened to album even though its a classic. I'm going to his concert in October and I hope i hear some God Son, Streets Disciple, Hip Hop is Dead and Life is Good.
