At least you managed to find the leak Andy and fix it quite quickly, and glad you had a good brithday
Thanks dave, frustrating but sorted. Also had brilliant birthday party cheers 🥂
We have all spent lots of time over the years looking for the phantom leeks Have a good week mate
Thanks mate, frustrating but sorted now 👍🏻
Nice update Andy 👌 glad you found the leak ⛩🐟⛩
Thanks mate 👍🏻
I'm thinking of changing mine to ball valves, had problems with slide type last year. Glad you sorted yours andy
Thanks mate, no more slide valves for me mate
Glad you got it sorted Andy, it can be so frustrating when looking for leaks, jobs a goodan, very best wishes, Tony😀
Thanks Tony, it was confusing, but got there in the end 😬👍🏻
Glad to see you found that leak!! Looking all tidy now with the new ball valve in there!! Hope you, Graham & Bizley are doing well!! Spring is around the corner…. Well a few corners but it is coming!!! 😅☺️🌷
Thank you my friend, I'm done with slide valves now. It's getting warmer ish lol.
All good here, hope your well 👍🏻
@@DerbyKoi All good here, I’m just bored waiting for warmer weather to come to get back to building projects!!! 😂😃❤️
I can't wait to come home from work and relax around the pond, cup of coffee, and play footy with bizley 😀
Slide valves are notorious for wearing out seals. I've had to do a few on my upflows. What I found was if you add some food grade silicone grease they last a lot longer. Fingers crossed the ball valves solve the issue for you.
Thanks for the tip, I won't be buying anymore for the future that's for sure 👍🏻
Just about to buy some ball valves myself glad your leeks sorted
Thanks mate, ball valves all the way for me from now on
Good to here u got rid ov that drip out of the bunker sir lol, cheers Terry,
No the drip I'd still in there, the leaks gone through lol
I was in an airplane landing in Manchester when storm Isha was blowing at 70mph. For the last 5 min I dont think anyone was breathing..not pleasant. No damage to the pond or the pond covers fortunately. Pleased you got it sorted.
I remember coming home from crete in a storm, I thought the plane was falling apart. Very scary. Glad everything was OK when you got home mate 👍🏻
Glad you got it sorted Andy , just thinking about the state of my shed, these jobs keep piling up lol. Great update😊
Thanks mate, and to be fair the shed tidy is still in the planning stage from 4 years ago. I hate being rushed lol
Excellent one hand camera juggling mate😉... Happy Birthday... 🍾🍾
Thanks Andy, camera in one hand, cake in the other lol
@@DerbyKoi 😆😆🍰🍰
I hate slide valves, but good update Andy
Thanks Glyn. Bloody slide valves lol
Nice job mate
I’m doing the same thing
Changing all my slide valve to ball valve in my rebuild of the pond this year 😎👌
Thanks mate, I'll be using ball valves from now on if I can, never had issues with those, have fun with the new build 😀
100% with you on gate valves. They are made to leak 😂 ball valves all the way.
I've had a few fail on me, lessons learned 🤪
Glad all sorted Andy. For my current small build I went for only ball valves as well, good plan mate…👍🏼
Thanks Andy. No more slide valves for me in the future 😬
@@DerbyKoi yeah quite right, another advantage for me having a small set up, not too many needed. 🤷🏼♂️😂
😬
👍👍👍
😀👍🏻
Glad you sorted out the leak without too much problem. Slide valves have their place for sure but I agree ball valves generally do a much better job. Fingers crossed no more problems. 🤞🏻
Thanks Ken, never had an issue with ball valves ( I hope i haven't jinxed myself now, lol) hopefully all sorted now mate 👍🏻
Nice update Andy 👍
I can't say as I've ever had any issues with slide valves.
Fingers crossed you've sorted it out 🤞
Hope you're all well.
Thanks mate, I'm probably just to heavy handed lol
If you don’t have any bushes actual 40mm solvent weld straights, elbows etc fit into those valves 👍🏼
Good to know, thanks mate 👍🏻 👌
Why do people bother with slide valves when they're so unreliable? 🙉
I won't be using them again if I can help it that's for sure 👍🏻
Cost!
