Opaline Arcana is the main antagonist in My Little Pony: Make Your Mark. She lives in a castle to the northwest of Maretime Bay, and has a unicorn associate, also known as her adoptive daughter.
Princess Luna, known as Nightmare Moon[4] or Night Mare Moon[5] when transformed or under certain other circumstances,[note 3] is an Alicorn pony, the younger sister of Princess Celestia, and the main antagonist of the season one premiere of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic as Nightmare Moon. She is also the adoptive aunt of Princess Cadance. Eventually, the Elements of Harmony restore Luna to her former self and she returns to rule over Equestria alongside her older sister.
Princess Celestia, called Queen Celestia in one comic and early development, is an Alicorn pony, the former co-ruler of Equestria alongside her younger sister Princess Luna, and the adoptive aunt of Princess Cadance. In addition to her responsibility of raising the sun, she has also been the teacher of Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer at different periods in time, often addressing Twilight as "my faithful student" while mentoring her. She has a pet phoenix named Philomena.

Well I kinda feel bad for Opaline, but also there's a chance that she's lying about the whole thing and maybe it's her own perspective.

On one hand, the story Opal brought up feels like a story she made up but on another hand both princesses didn't know much about friendship (aka Celestia ignoring her sister's feelings leading up to her sister becoming nightmare moon)
It's plausible that Celestia and Luna weren't exactly kind to her, but narcissists like Opaline are notoriously unreliable narrators. I advise everyone not to take her story at face value.
Celestia made a lot of mistakes in the past, when she was a filly, it must have been worse
Oh, it's the truth but only from Opaline perspective. Remember that she portrayed Twillight as a usurper that stole her magic and her throne and that in her backstory as "Queen Opaline", she portray herself as a benevolent ruler and we can clearly see she is not benevolent in any ways. She is so narcissists that she doesn't even check on Misty and just assume she is somewhere doing her bidding even if she had not seen or heard from her in days.
In short, i sincerely don't believe her side of the story. If Celestia and Luna didn't liked her, there was certainly a good reason.

I think all three of them use to be friends but one day while they were playing opaline used her powers and accidentally hurt one of them,that’s when they started to ignore her and that is what made them evil but that is just my guess, reply to this comment to tell me your guess
I just think Opaline has always been a narcissist brat and Luna and Celestia didn't liked her for that reason.

Though i do think locking her inside a tree was cruel, she didn't just stole cutie marks, she hurt ponies and tried to enslave them and the dragons and stole the whole magic for herself so she could rule as a supreme and unchallengeable dictator. What she did and planned to do was way worse than just stealing cutie marks.

In my headcannon, When Clover the clever disrupted Grogar's monster making ritual, Grogar replaced Discord as a constellation. Grogar was able to stop the sun and moon(or the planet's rotation). Clover summoned alicorns from the upper planes, 3 sisters, young demigoddesses. Instead of fighting the wendigos she fell to the temptation of stealing more and more power. Celestia and Luna had to strip her of power, put it in the dragon stone, and banish her beyond an anti magic barrier. I think Izzy called it an invisabubble.

I can't tell if this is an unpopular opinion, but Opaline is an unreliable narrator because she a narcissist. Maybe she misinterpreted Celeste and actions when they were younger. She felt leftout because she didn't have a destiny laid out for her like the sister did. Celesta and Luna didn't do anything to her inperticuler Opaline is just jealous of them.
