    That is so amazing. I do have two over 100 year old pieces to strip off the veneer, the tops and fronts. I will do what you did or just turn around and sell it the way it is. If I have the time I'll work on it. Pray for me... Oh boy! LOL ... on the other hand, it will be rewarding at the the end.. Have a wonderful day.

    This gave me Flashbacks to that time I stripped veneer off an entire upright dresser. I had bloody knuckles.

    I got a nice solid cedar chest and the ugly veneer that was on it came off so easy on the body but the lid is a nightmare.
    I’ve tried just about everything and I’ve only managed to get 15% of the lid so far. Any suggestions? Tried the heat gun and iron but it doesn’t work well on this part.

      Try a wet towel on it overnight
