    Love your resources! I am joining all three clubs. :) Question- your binder of lesson plans- do you share that somewhere, too? Thanks!

      I came into the comments section to either find an answer to that question or ask it myself!

    Hi Susan, I love watching your videos and using your resources. They are super teacher-friendly and of course, great for the kiddos. I downloaded the free Fundations-based "sound wall" cards, which is perfect for us as we use Fundations as well at my school. I was wondering if you had copies of the r-controlled sound cards as the sign was included, just not the cards. Thanks again!

    Happy Anniversary! I love your videos and, as always, get so many ideas! I have a few questions. Do you make daily slides for all the parts of your day? I know several teachers who use a complete set of slides for their entire day. I've used a Google Doc grid for years, but am trying out this routine to see how I like it. Just curious how you make/use your plans through the week: paper, Google Docs, slides? Also, we struggle every year with having so many 1-1 assessments and we are looking for something students can do besides sitting at a computer for 45 minutes that doesn't require a lot of teacher support. We have 4 assessments that are required and all are 1-1. It has been a concern for years now because of the amount of time it requires and we still haven't found an answer. Thanks for sharing what you do at your school!

    I love your slides! They are wonderful. Do you have these available for purchase? It would be great to have a jumping off point instead of creating them from scratch. Thank you for considering.

    When you referred to your lesson plan, I noticed the format of it. Did you develop that or is it from your curriculum?

    I would really love to learn more about your genre studies. Did your district create the lesson plans? I feel like I have to create everything, as we don't have a reading curriculum. Do you have any suggestions? I teach 2nd grade.Thank you!!

    I would love to hear more about your reading block. How much time are you spending in small-group versus whole-group? We have about an hour for our reading block.

      Great question! I will definitely dive deeper into this in another video. Each day we have 10 minutes for phonemic awareness, 30 minutes for phonics, 20 minutes for genre study (read aloud, vocabulary, etc.) and 30 minutes for small group literacy. We also have the WIN block which is 40 minutes long and I am using a lot of that in small groups for literacy as well.

    Hi Susan on one of your earlier classroom walk throughs when you setting your classroom up I spotted a wall display that I have been trying to see again in your room or find. It's the one that is basically setting your kids up for a great year and I think it was a picture of a sun wearing glasses. Can you show it to me again and let me know where you got it from. Thanx Jill

    Would you mind sharing how you strategized to administer aimsweb math to your whole class in a single day while also completing your literacy (M-Class) assessments?

    • @SusanJonesTeaching
      @SusanJonesTeaching  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahhh - yes, well I didn't organize anything lol - our school has an amazing team and the math and literacy curriculum specialists actually planned it all! They made a team with some of the reading and math teachers/interventionists in our school and scheduled 2 classes a day. They were able to split up and spend an entire day in each room, doing both the AIMSweb and Mclass assessments with students. I also administered some of the tests along with them. So throughout the day, we had about 5 teachers in the room and we just called them up 1-by-1 and administered the tests! I made slides for students to follow throughout the day in 30 minute increments to keep them doing independent tasks so we could continue to test. It actually went really well!

      We are currently just reviewing sounds from kindergarten so we go through about 10-12 per week right now!
