Chat kept saying he missed the stormbolt at 8:14, but I think he was just going for 2 grunts instead of 1. The low-health grunt kill was already pretty much guaranteed, so he tried to get a second one as well, and it probably would have worked if Grubby hadn't rerouted that grunt upward toward the red camp
Shockwave + Chain Lightning ended up a bit like Death Coil + Frost Nova - Against his Priests, you were able to burst damage through his army before they could heal. It worked well. GG Grub!
The shockwave really looked strong this game, especially hunting down that archmage and killing him 2 shockwaves in his base. Also great maneuver with the clutch zeppelin follow up raid and escape. That "i laugh in the face of danger!!" was strong in this one, gliding away with 1 HP :D edit: I wrote that comment before end of video, so regarding your question at the end - YES that obviously was my favorite scene as well.
can we take a second to understand how crazy that base raid was? Zepelin was left with 1 hp 😅, and was carrying a greviously wounded TC and 2 raiders which were barely alive while a full hp MK was coming fast. That was the make or break moment
I liked shockwave but i cant help but miss the warstomp lightingshield speedscroll combo that completely tilted ToD a few years ago. That was just on another level. Stomp might work well with worker line zeppelin drop. Thats like a full B52 bombardment.
I think stomp has overall better potential value, but most high level players make it a really high priority to micro against stomps. Shockwave seems like it gets more reliable hits,but in a way that opponents don't respect as much
What race do you think you are better with Ne or UD ? I personally think you do pretty well with both but I think you’re Ne is a little better. With this being said if you tried for rank 1 in random and you lucked out with drawing orc human and maybe hopefully more Ne than UD I think you can stand a good chance (:
well you know it quite good that SW was the shi7 back then. Try playing stomp on bnet 2003 on 100ms 😂, also SW fulfill the orc idea as a brutal demolution on land fights. I also used to lvl3 chain for even more initial intimidation engagement. I almost cry when they nerf it to 12 units😅
Grubby doesn't have the latest meta games studied to play those pros. With a serious prep, it could be interesting, but not sure if he has the time anymore.
He made some pretty hairbrained easy fixable mistakes. Trying to surround with healing wards. Dropping circlet in front of you. If he dosnt do these things I think he wins.
Not being 100 % sure/not having checked wether your opponent carries a TP (invul, invis, pot?) or not can bring trouble sometimes. Probably a reflex seeing the FS moving closer and just blocking the path rather than trying to surround. That TC on it's own was going nowhere anymore at that point.

I honestly don't understand why you're spamming the keys so much, the units don't complete any faster. The only reason i can see, is trying to fake a higher APM .

@@ambion19 Yeah stomp needs way more prep like invul pot, speedscroll, shaman support... But a good stomp is just so fun to watch
