The problematic thing is that the previous writers and other workers behind P1 and P2 had left Atlus before P3 and claim some copyright for their work. It's possibly why we never got our P2 anime adaptation as well.

I wish atlus would dedicate some time to making a remake for this on ps3 or ps4, instead of spending time on making more, yknow, persona 4 games and stuff? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the entire persona series, including p4, but cmon, why make a p4 music game when you could make a remake of revelations or innocent sin? No offense tho, it’s nice that they make more p4 games, but I think a revelations remake takes more priority. They sorta neglected everything else after p4 was out. Like how persona 3 was released on psp, which kinda sucked btw, while p4 on ps vita. At least they got a remake, but revelations is a rly rly great game, and it would be a good experience for players who have only played p3 and p4 before to play p1 and p2.
I think it can still happen. With P5 opening the floodgates we could get new IPs and remakes of their older titles. I'd really like to see what P1 and P2 would look like on P5s engine.
I'm pretty sure atlus said they wouldn't do anything more than a remaster like the psp ones for p1 and p2, as the creator has passed away and they don't want to potentially disrespect their works. It's unfortunate, but its really just a culture thing, where they don't want to use others work without permission.
Persona was created by Cozy Okada and Kazuma Kaneko, right? I know Kaneko is still around but i'm not sure about Okada, did he die after he left Atlus back in '03? Not to mention the lead writer Tadashi Satomi, who went back in 2012 to write for the Tatsuya Scenario for EP psp (which the west never got, sadly.) He's also worked on another game for the Vita, Caligula, which I think Atlus is publishing. And I get it, not wanting to use someone else's work, though not everyone who worked on these games are gone. I'm just hoping they'll consider going back and make something nice for fans of their older titles. This is just wishful thinking on my part, but I can dream right?

Did you like P1 so far? I remember taking a while to get into it, since it is quite old. The gameplay seems confusing and takes getting used but its not that bad. The plot is good though, and really gets into the psychological aspect of Personas more than the other titles imo. You should finish P1 before P2 Innocent Sin. You'll understand the plot better and the P1 cast shows up, and few are playable characters. Remember that Innocent Sin is part 1 of the P2 duology so play Eternal Punishment. P2 easily has the best story of the and the characters are some of the series highlights imo. Just know the gameplay isn't great, it's clunky and slow and not the best in the series but despite that they are all worthwile titles and can be enjoyed despite that.

playing persona 1 right now, reminds me of strange journey in the sense of dungeon crawling. kinda wish the formation would work differently, since the way you place your team REALLY affects how the battles work, but overall, it's kinda just like playing p3 and p4 where EVERYONE can have different personas with different levels of affinity

I wish atlus would dedicate some time to making a remake for this on ps3 or ps4, instead of spending time on making more, yknow, persona 4 games and stuff? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the entire persona series, including p4, but cmon, why make a p4 music game when you could make a remake of revelations or innocent sin? No offense tho, it’s nice that they make more p4 games, but I think a revelations remake takes more priority. They sorta neglected everything else after p4 was out. Like how persona 3 was released on psp, which kinda sucked btw, while p4 on ps vita. At least they got a remake, but revelations is a rly rly great game, and it would be a good experience for players who have only played p3 and p4 before to play p1 and p2.
I think it can still happen. With P5 opening the floodgates we could get new IPs and remakes of their older titles.

I'm pretty sure atlus said they wouldn't do anything more than a remaster like the psp ones for p1 and p2, as the creator has passed away and they don't want to potentially disrespect their works. It's unfortunate, but its really just a culture thing, where they don't want to use others work without permission.
Persona was created by Cozy Okada and Kazuma Kaneko, right? I know Kaneko is still around but i'm not sure about Okada, did he die after he left Atlus back in '03? Not to mention the lead writer Tadashi Satomi, who went back in 2012 to write for the Tatsuya Scenario for EP psp (which the west never got, sadly.) He's also worked on another game for the Vita, Caligula, which I think Atlus is publishing.
And I get it, not wanting to use someone else's work, though not everyone who worked on these games are gone. I'm just hoping they'll consider going back and make something nice for fans of their older titles.
This is just wishful thinking on my part, but I can dream right?

Yeah i would love p1 and p2 remakes, but it seems highly unlikely :(. I really need to get around to playing those 3 games. I've only played a little of p1.
Did you like P1 so far? I remember taking a while to get into it, since it is quite old. The gameplay seems confusing and takes getting used but its not that bad. The plot is good though, and really gets into the psychological aspect of Personas more than the other titles imo.
You should finish P1 before P2 Innocent Sin. You'll understand the plot better and the P1 cast shows up, and few are playable characters. Remember that Innocent Sin is part 1 of the P2 duology so play Eternal Punishment. P2 easily has the best story of the and the characters are some of the series highlights imo.
Just know the gameplay isn't great, it's clunky and slow and not the best in the series but despite that they are all worthwile titles and can be enjoyed despite that.

playing persona 1 right now, reminds me of strange journey in the sense of dungeon crawling. kinda wish the formation would work differently, since the way you place your team REALLY affects how the battles work, but overall, it's kinda just like playing p3 and p4 where EVERYONE can have different personas with different levels of affinity
