    I have a suggestion: Add a Diner employee in the back of the Downtown Diner throwing away a cooked crab/dish that is served at the Shrimp Shack, to indicate rivalry between the Diners.

    Knowing I have something to look forward to on a Monday morning is helping to keep me on track during these weird days. Thank you for that. I am loving your city with the different levels. It looks so natural. The beach is proving to be a lot of fun! A guy with a metal detector who has been digging up stuff which is leading him right up to the beach hut treasure might be fun.

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The multiple levels is really the best thing about my city I think. Less common than you'd think. I don't know of another with more subtle levels like mine. Metal detectorist, check!

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've gone through all my modulars and thought about their positions in the city, including the concept of mirroring them to make them fit. This ensures they are in the most natural setting possible. I'll then fill in the gaps!

  • @matthewbrooks9502

    Good placement for the Diner, imo - that corner flows well with the pedestrian walkway around it! I'd be in favor of seeing some tables set up in front of the diner, on the boardwalk section. Love the beach cabin setups - the guy/girl one makes me laugh :D the filled up one and treasure ones are neat. The ped walkway across the tracks seems so simple but flows well in the context of the area. Very cool all around - can't wait to see the next couple spaces filled up!

    The Diner is such a beautiful building. I purchased my diner over a year ago, but haven’t opened it yet. I am planing an overhaul (expansion) to my entire city, so I figured I might as well wait on constructing it. Also have 4 other buildings still unboxed as yet. Love the new additions to your wonderful city. Thanks for being here. I wonder if others understand the amount of work, time and effort, you put into this channel. 22:00 I would consider the red and blue buttons as on and off pieces. For the outdoor showers I've seen in the US, normally it has buttons to turn it on or off regardless of temperature. Some stations have a lower shower head for just rinsing off feet.

    My suggestion is a bus stop under the train next to the street maybe with a news stand, and tables across the boardwalk. That way the tables aren't next to the busy Street, and you get to fit alot in without the over crowded feeling. Brilliant as always! Just keep bricking!

I do like the idea of adding tables and seating next to the diner. May I suggest maybe some landscape shrubs? I am loving how your city is turning out,
    I have 2 suggestions.... First move the diner owner towards the fishing store by 4 -5 studs and add tables to the side of the diner, also add some tables to the edge of the beach wall for the diner. Second maybe add a 4th beach shack, closer to the fishing store, that would be a secret entrance/ exit from the Batcave for Batman to get to the beach...

    Very nice video again. I really love the steps near the Diner. I dunno why but they are very nice to watch. I saw a comment about shower being to close to the shack and i dont really like it being that close either but i can understand why is it there + lego distance is different from real life distance so we can all imagine it being more far away. About the yellow cabin: i like it, only thing i would change is to move the minifig 1 stud inside and remove teh basket cause u can't see it anyway. Unless u put something behind like a chair where she can't fit more in. Then is all good :D Also in the green cabin, the golden trophy isn't visible so maybe move the chest against the wall like u did in the red cabin and put the trophy to the open spot. Then again, if u are happy how it is, then that's alright. In the end, it's ur city, we are just the visitors :D Overall very nice to see beach to come more alive!

However you can use it to sweep out the beach house if you ever got everything out of there to see the floor LOL

  • @witerabid
    @witerabid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ok, I'll try to rewrite my comment here as I'm not sure you saw it on the first upload before fixing the video:
    Until now, I never noticed that your rails stick out above the road and now walkway. Is there a specific (aesthetic) reason for that or is it just because the slopes wouldn't line up if you made it the same height? In planning for the tram I'm gonna have in my city I tried to have the tracks completely flush with the road and so far all my trains have been able to go over that without problems, some even with studs on the top. I'm not sure if that also works with the RC trains though as I am using the 9V system.
    Also, great place to put the Downtown Diner. I can't wait to see you put in the next two buildings next to it as I have found it quite difficult to match the Diner with other off the shelf modulars (except maybe for the corner garage...) and am a bit stuck on where to put it until I've MOC'ed up all of my buildings.

    • @RobinHoodBricks
      @RobinHoodBricks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Next City Update will show you what its neighbour will be.
      As for the rails, since mine are raised one plate, on ballast, the nicer slopes only come up that high. A slope one plate higher would look ugly and the rails being proud don't look that bad. It's certainly nothing to do with any train clearance issues!

    • @witerabid
      @witerabid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1
